Aliyah and Draven may have won the last battle but the war between the dark and light has only just begun.
While the darkness waits in anticipation for her to submit and fall victim to its lure, Aliyah discovers new abilities she needs to master. Draven, fighting against his own mind while attempting to quell the unrelenting darkness within, has made a deal with a demon, one tied in blood that puts not only himself but everyone he loves in danger.
The bond within them is filled with passion and love but there are other elements threatening to rip them apart. Will their love hold them together and help them fight the oncoming battle or will Aliyah and Draven be forced to accept the onslaught instead?
Lena Moore is an Australian based author who writes multiple genres such as Dark Romance, Erotic Romance, Romantic Suspense and Paranormal Romance just to name a few.
Lena is also a loving and annoying wife and a mother of three boys with her qualification in Counselling, and is a certified birth and postnatal doula. She loves listening, singing and headbanging to metal music and spending time with her family.
When not writing you'll find her brainstorming more sinfully twisted stories with inked up alphas or in the downward dog position getting her yoga on, reading or cooking for the village.
"I try and focus my writing on deep, dark and all things taboo, because hey, we all have a little darkness lurking.”
I absolutely love this author so when the opportunity to beta read for her presented itself, I was ecstatic! I unfortunately had not read the first book in the series so I was at a bit of a disadvantage while reading the second because of the world that was already built from the first book. I definitely recommend reading the first in the series just to understand more of what is going on. The world is unique, creative and leaves you wanting more.
We are continuing the story of Draven and Aliyah. I just have to say how much I love Draven. I think he had me swooning a time or two. He's definitely book boyfriend material. I liked Aliyah but I'm not going to lie, she'll piss you off a couple times.
But them together? Fireworks. Absolute magic. I loved watching Draven be territorial of Aliyah and possessive. Absolutely love that in a main character. And their sexy scenes?
Absolutely loved. Their chemistry was just off the charts.
Besides this couple, the world of secondary characters was phenomenal. I loved how they had such a voice in the book even though they were only secondary characters. It really showed how they felt for one another. There are tropes and content in this book that I am not a fan of but when I love an author so much, I can easily get past that. I think there is dark content in this book and taboo behavior but it's so good.
All opinions are my own and I stand 100% behind my review.
I struggled a bit the beginning because a lot is thrown at you in the beginning. I settled in quite quickly and enjoyed the book. There are a lot of oh man moments and revelations that twist the story more and more. There's a lot of heat in this book. Others quite steamy. I did have to look go a few things because some of the pop culture references mentioned aren't A thing in my neck of the woods. Always fun to learn about other places in the world. The story has strong characters , lots of drama and it ends in a c!iffy so beware. Excited to see where this goes.
We thought Lena’s writing couldn’t get any better after Branded. We should have bet ourselves and paid the bet with our brother’s money. This book was amazing!! Perfectly executed from the first word to the last. We’re left with a book hangover out of this world and can’t wait to read what Lena writes next. *grabby hands* next book please!!
Not me running to Coveted ready to see more action and spiciness 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️😱 Awesome Job Lena! Kinda nervous to see what happens! The anticipation is slowly driving me nuts! Emotional rollercoaster! Love it!
