Those Peilor bastards have scheduled planet Earth for abduction, and the clock is ticking. Emma and Kaitlynn will have to get the Blue Dragons back together and do something about it fast, or humanity will be toast.
Of course, they don’t have to tackle the problem alone, as there are allies to be found in the Realm of Imagination. The question is just if they’re willing to help in a human timeframe...
Then there is Suri, once upon a time Emma’s rock. Literally. Emma and Kaitlynn need her to help infiltrate Peilor society, but cooperating might not be so easy with the mountain of hurt and anger standing between them still.
And how exactly do you stop a society of egomaniacal sentient crystals from stealing your home planet in the first place?
H.C. Mills is a Dutch author, who dabbles in acting and singing in musicals, and even (play)writing them. He used to teach physics and chemistry, and once represented his country in the 2008 International Biology Olympiad, but please don't hold that against him.
As a physics-nerd, H.C. Mills naturally gravitates to hard magic systems, but he also enjoys writing comedy and romance.
Like most authors worth their salt, he is a true sadist who takes pleasure in the mental anguish of his imaginary friends/brainchildren--or better yet, in making them cause their own suffering. He refuses to give them anything for free, but will usually leave a window cracked open for them somewhere, to escape whatever peril he plunges them in.
He's also a big fan of Tabletop RPG's, and can even be watched every Sunday, playing on the Pathfinder Livestream 'Rules as Fun' here: twitch.tv/rulesasfun
(Pathfinder is like D&D but with more choices and flavour)
This was an amazing series. I’m sad to see it end. Would’ve loved to see how Emma’s reunion with her family went. However even without that it was an amazing end to a wonderful series.
I wanted to enjoy this so much more than I did. Was hoping after book 5 it’d find its grove but it never really did. For a LitRPG, it wasn’t one. And battle scenes that should have been exciting just felt overly complicated with the type of fighting done.
I almost DNF’d this 65% through, but wanted to finish the series. Wish the book just ended on a happier not after book four. Five and six, ultimately, didn’t feel needed.
Well hey, it's over. That's about the best I can say for this. I'm really wondering what I was interested in this series in the first place, I can't find the fun in it now. I'm not overly fond of the characters, this book moved like a "gotta get the gang back together for one more task" and didn't really have much new. Maybe a little character growth in one character but the rest was just... eh. It was a decent start to a series but beyond that I don't have too much positive to say.
This is seriously a really good series of reads. The storyline evolves nicely throughout each book, and culminates quite well here. All is wrapped up in the end, super minor gripe for me was wanting a bit more of say earth reunions.
