Lilianna James was being hunted by the Dead Rabbits and the only person who could help her was her big brother, Cillian. The last she heard, he was just out of prison and had used a bar as his forwarding address. Those two facts alone didn’t give her much confidence that he’d help her, but she had no choice but to try. She left Ireland for America and didn’t look back because with any luck, her brother would help her find the love of her life, Cian Walsh—the only man who’d be able to stop the Dead Rabbits from coming for her.
Cian had gotten himself mixed up with the Dead Rabbits and before he knew what was happening, he was running from Ireland to America, leaving his life behind to save the people he loved. At least, he thought that leaving would save them, but Lilly showing up in Huntsville, Alabama had proved him wrong. Now, he’d have to depend on Lil’s brother and his MC to keep them both safe, making him wonder if he was jumping right from the frying pan into the fire.

Lillian and Cian: triggers: kidnapping, assault. Book is extremely short and is followed be excerpts of three of authors other books, to include those in this series. I think the concept of this series is great but I expected more. This story was essentially about the Royal Bastards and then the idea of the Harlots is brought into the game. So if you're expecting some bad ass females riding bikes and running the Royal Bastards ragged, this isn't the one. Hopefully, the next book will see more from these ladies. Then I was confused because it's supposed to be just old ladies in the Harlots, so then does that mean the next couple of books will be just flashbacks of how they met their old men. If so, then that also will not be about the women in their club since it'll occur in the past. But if there are new women, then they aren't old ladies yet so how do they become old ladies of the guy they're with isn't a part of the club... For example Cian. There's no mention that he joined the RBMC so then technically, Lillian isn't an old lady by MC terms. I've got so many questions and I think this book needed to be longer to explain more on how that will so work. 🤷🏾‍♀️. Just saying. But what little part of the story was here, I did enjoy. I just expected Lillian to be more kick-ass than she was. She was kind of all talk.

The book is listed at 120 pages, but only half of that is the story. The rest is previews of other novels.

The story was fairly good, definitely readable. I liked that the women formed their own MC, and they were strong women. I liked the feeling of found family and the willingness to help each other. I find this often in MC Romance and it’s one of the reasons I like the genre. Plus, this book has LGBTQ+ and Poly characters, so between that and the strong women, it’s got an interesting texture to it not often found in MC Romance.

On the other hand, the zexytime was almost nil and not terribly zexy. And the resolution of the problems was extremely simplistic and ridiculously easy.

Here’s the breakdown:
MMC/FMC- Cian and Lil
POV- 3rd person
Genre- MC Romance Ultralite
Heat- 🌋🌋. Very little detail.
Series? Y
Safety? Y
Triggers- Kidnapping, Arson, The Biker’s Trifecta (language, violence, explicit erotic content).
Tropes- Forced Proximity (On the Run), Childhood Crush

I borrowed this book from KU, but I won’t buy a copy for a reread.

This is the first of many Royal Harlots to come. A series about the women who support their Mc men. This story is a fast pace story with Cian running away from his past. A past where he was young and dumb to get involved with a dangerous gang. He thought leave Ireland would get his love ones safe. Now his love ones are being threaten aka Lilianna. Little dose he know she is in America. She runs to her brother Cillian. As part of a MC club there is a huge family to help them. Everyone is willing to help them and keep them safe until trouble finds them. While away these two finally realize they love each other and always have. Seeing a future plans are made to save Lili and stop the madness. Read their crazy love story from Ireland to America. See how strong people can be to get their HEA here. Big future plans are happening!!!!!!!!

Lillian is on the run. Her childhood crush Cain got in some trouble with a gang. She heard he left to America. She runs to the last place her older brother was. Her brother is now a member of the family royal bastards. She asked for help. Now she needs to fine Cain. Cain left home when things got dangerous. Not wanting to get Lillian involved he left town. After two month’s, Lillian finds him. When she gets kidnapped. Her people find her. They ask her to be president of their club. Just maybe it was the best decision she made coming to America can saving her love.

It's 2 damn short!! I feel like its starting a good story then it leaves alot out and some unanswered questions. But it's a pretty good start of new beginnings 4 the harlots MC. It just barely began on it. It should have more in depth stuff involved. I feel like it it's not finished just barely grazed on a good story then left alot out and then the end. I hope there's alot more in the next book cause I'm disappointed on this 1. It's not like most of the books b4. I felt a big let down.

Harlots beginnings?

I liked the story & the characters-it was good to see characters we've "met" before. But I thought this was going to be about the Harlots & that storyline didn't happen until essentially the end of the book. I've met Harlots in the RBMC Harlots anthology, so I was confused as this being the beginning of Harlots-perhaps the Alabama chapter?!?

short but sweet

This is a short novella. Hops right into the start of a new series. Fmc follows mmc to America after she was threatened by the gang he was apart of and had ghosted… they already knew they loved each other, without telling the other person, which made it a good read for me with the speed. Loving a female MC prez!

Great start to the Royal Harlots

This book is short and sweet. Cian and Lil's story starts at the Royal Bast@rd's clubhouse so it has a little of them in here intertwined with the start of the Royal Harlots.

Good book

Loved this offshoot series connected to the Royal Bastards, great storyline, just wish it was a bit longer and more fleshed out. I also love that there isn't chapter after chapter of nothing but bedroom games. Looking forward to the next one!

Loved their story, they have a long road ahead of them. They are both from Ireland and it wasn't easy with the Dead Rabbits there. Coming to America seemed the logical choice, but was it? HEA.
