This is book twenty six of the Dark Warrior Alliance and the main character is Aison, a wolf shifter and the leader of a group of Dark Warriors based in New Orleans, a hotbed of supernatural goings on. The archdemon Crocell was last seen in Seattle, it it seems being attacked by the Vampire Princess, Izzy, and her colleague Rostam, and almost losing her head, has left her underpowered and unable to continue with her plans to get her twin sister back from the Underworld. Out fighting the skirm that have been left in the city to run free, he suddenly gets surprised by a huge surge in spark in dark energy, coming from a nearby hotel. It seems a rift as been opened on one of the higher floors and they are shocked to find the arch demon herself there. Her head has almost been removed from her shoulders and she is clearly refuelling on whatever beings she can kill easily, in order to heal. Crocell had never left Seattle since coming to Earth years ago, so why she is in New Orleans all of a sudden is worrying. She needs to gather enough energy to get her sister out, but the angels also have a prophecy they are worried about, which tells of Lucifer getting out of the Underworld. An event that would mean the end of this world and all the other realms.
A human man is badly injured in the incident in the hotel, and this has Aison calling for their healer, Ceilia, a witch, to come and help. He has felt a pull towards her ever since they met, but has never told her of his feelings or tried to ask her out on a date. It always seemed like he had yet another dangerous case to deal with and the time was never right. Back in the war room back at their base, Les Auger Manor, Aison, Micah, Slate and Luke, talk to their leader, Zander, the Vampire King, who is at Zeum along with some other warriors. Zander tells them he believes Crocell won’t go far as she tries to heal herself, so they must be vigilant. She has been drawn ere because of the powerful ley lines that intersect the quarter. Zander’s daughter Izzy insists on coming to New Orleans to help with Crocell, along with Donovan, the two of who seem close! They are also joined by the Rowan sisters, Isis, Sufi and Pema, three powerful witches. Up in heaven, the archangel Camael holds domain over his Angels of Retribution (AOR), who will soon be called to assist down on Earth, to stop Crocell’s plans. One of his angel warriors is Rami, who was married to Elise, before he was murdered in his mortal life and his soul cried out for vengeance. He is now Zander and Elise’s daughter Izzy’s Guardian Angel, as well as his other duties with the AOR.
The demons have reached the veil and Camael and his AOR warriors come down to rescue the person they have taken hostage and taken back through the veil. There, Camael is entranced by his first sight of the woman, Amelia, a witch, who had bravely held her own against these demons. An unknown feeling stirs in Camael as she insists on helping them clean the site of any angelic blood or feathers that were damaged, to ensure the demons can’t use them. Around the same time, Aison and his crew are exploring the bayou and following the scent of dark energy, when the come across frightened pixies, who tell them an evil force tried to take their power and destroyed Marie’s house. Now the wendigos that Marie’s magic normally kept in hand, are loose and attack the group, with Aison receiving a bite from one, which could soon be deadly. They have no salt to counteract the poison from the bite and he could end up becoming one of these monsters, with his own men having to put him down. Ceilia is called and left waiting anxiously for their return, to do all she can for him. She has feelings for him and was hoping to tell him when next they met, but this has put all of that out of the window. She needs to concentrate on healing him and then she can ask him out!
In desperation they have to call Marie and see if she knows of a cure for the wendigo poison, with only a slight chance it may help. In a lucid moment with Aison, it is she who asks him out on a date, so now he has something to hold him here and give him a reason to live. Marie also tells them that Crocell is in league with a dark sorcerer, which will extend its reach to all the realms if they are not stopped. Camael takes Amelia to Zeum, to Zander’s healer, but is suddenly very protective and possessive around her, not liking any other to lay hands on her! Aison and Ceilia get closer and he finally realises she is his fated mate, not something he has ever expected would happen to him. Camael stay as protection for Amelia, to keep her out of falling to the demons hands again. It seems Crocell has need of some witches to make her plans work and they must protect her and Ceilia at all costs. Other women are far more important to the fight that is yet to come, than any of them realise. Lucifer’s freedom will tip the realms into chaos, threatening the very harmony yet archangels have tried to maintain for centuries. So much more to come, as they all continue to fight against evil and try to keep Earth and the other realms safe, Aison and Ceilia are finally mated, but Crocell and Lucifer escape their clutches, and Camael finds himself the next to find a fated mate perhaps!

Aison and Micah are out chasing down skirm. It seems the archdemon Crocell is busy with trying to save her sister and isn't paying attention to her converting her minions. So they are being hunted. Then he feels a surge of dark energy. A portal has appeared. So they search for it and find Crocell half decapitated. She was trying to escape whatever attacked her. They find out later after battling her what happened from the Vampire King Zander. Crocell has stolen magical powers but it will take her weeks to absorb and be able to use it. She needs to be found.
While enjoying dinner they get a call from the Vampire King and discuss business. The heavy players are being brought in. New Orleans is being turned into a supernatural war zone. The target is Crocell with Lucifer right behind her. Then they are sent to the bayou where Aison is bit by a wendigo. It's bite is poisonous and they have to put salt in it to keep it from killing him. His one thought is that he should have asked Ceilia out.
Ceilia is called to help heal Aison. Her first thought is if he survives she needs to invite him out on a date. This is so not the time to realize what they mean to each other but better late than never. Marie Laveau helps with a cure. So many distractions and deaths. The supernatural world is unraveling and getting more dangerous, The search for Crocell is becoming a focal point. They need to contain her to keep the underworld from taking over the world. Will the Dark Warriors be able to do that? Will they all survive to fight again?
A fast paced adventure with plenty of heart stopping action.

The Dark Warriors are back, baby. We even get an assist from the Angels of Retribution with an added peek at an upcoming romance there. This book mostly takes place in and around New Orleans (with a jump or two into the celestial plane). Here we have four Dark Warriors, who will be supplemented by help from Zeum's royalty and the famous trio of witches and their families. Aison has been wanting to ask out their witchy healer, Cecilia, but he gets interrupted by the appearance of Crocell in a downtown motel. The last thing NOLA needed was this demon killing humans to heal herself from a near-fatal wound incurred when she clashed with Izzy in Seattle. But she might not be their biggest problem as Lucifer is stirring again and rifts keep forming and dumping demons on them. Hold on tight, love will find a way to complicate things even more.

It has been a long time since I read one of Brenda Trim’s Dark Warrior books and because of that, this reader was not quite able to get fully immersed into the story.
That being said, there is action, intrigue, romance and a whole slew of different characters moving in and out of this latest installment of the Dark Warrior Alliance series. I liked the chemistry between the two main characters and while it wasn’t a terrible ‘stand-alone’ read, I think my experience would have been much richer had I been more familiar with the storyline as a whole.
The fault lies solely with me, the reader and not the author. 😊
That being said, there is action, intrigue, romance and a whole slew of different characters moving in and out of this latest installment of the Dark Warrior Alliance series. I liked the chemistry between the two main characters and while it wasn’t a terrible ‘stand-alone’ read, I think my experience would have been much richer had I been more familiar with the storyline as a whole.

Aison and the Dark Warriors he collaborates with search for anomalies in the supernatural realm, to protect humans. However, their efforts are only sometimes successful. Camael and his group of archangels hunt down demons in the mortal world. When an archdemon starts causing chaos, the Dark Warriors and archangels unite to stop the carnage. This story has plenty of action and romance, with some steam tossed in, ending in a HEA with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

Awesome Action
I was caught up in this book from beginning to end, and didn't put it down until I was done. I can say you've written another great Dark Warrior book. There's no negative responses, but I can't wait to read the next one. I would recommend this book to all who love The Dark Warriors. I love your books so much that five stars isn't enough! Wish I could have given more!

Fated to Assist
For Aison and Celia an evil archdemon is set on bringing back her sister from the land of the dead and when the portal is open all hell lets loose, literally. Demons are causing chaos and portals need to be sealed. This story starts off with an intensity that does not die down. It was exciting and I look forward to the next book that this one has set up so beautifully.

This is a paranormal vampire shifter romance you're going to love! It is full of action and it's a fast paced page-turner with numerous twists and turns to keep everyone guessing as demon cause chaos and they are trying to close the portals. It will keep you on the edge of your seat reading page after page. Great book by great author.

Aison and Ceilia had been dancing around each other but takes a near death experience for them to confess to each other. Ceilia had been on the fringe of the Dark Warriors world but being with Aison puts her smack dab in the middle. The worst thing that could possibly happen happens. At least we get to see the beginnings of another budding relationship and a warning for those to come.

Cunning Warrior is a fast paced action packed page turner filled with twist and turns that keeps the reader on the edge of their seats in anticipation with a plethora of colorful characters that keeps you engrossed in the plot from the very first page until the last.

Hell unleashed.
Unlike some urban fantasies that revolve around one main character, this series revolves around a group of warriors, and their families existing those evolving. There is plenty of intrigue, danger, and adventure along the way to love. While I was able to read this as a standalone, I think reading the previous books in the series would have given it more context.

I was so happy to see another release in the Dark Warrior Alliance series, I couldn't wait to start reading. There are some serious things happening that kept a fast pace and made for a page turning read. It is packed with action, romance, snark, amazing dialogue and so much more. I really enjoyed this addition to the series.

I enjoyed reading this fast paced action packed storyline, filled with twist and turns that keeps the reader on the edge of their seats in anticipation. With a cast of colorful characters that keeps you engrossed in the plot from the very first page until the last. I can't wait to read more from this author. I love that the DWA is still licking, I love returning to that universe! Brenda Trim is one of my go to writers along with her writing partners. I'm amazed how she keeps cranking out so many lovely, funny, action-packed series is baffling!! Please keep doing it!!!.

Brilliant Series

I knew what Crocell was up to. Too much was going on for this to just be about her sister. Aison and Ceilia were so perfect together it was unreal. I thunk its time the Vampire Princess took her mate, he is certainly worth it.

This book feels different, as if someone else wrote it. There are inconsistencies from the last books, and it seems that no one has proofread the story. The author also suddenly shifts into very ornate, flowery language, and the descriptions become unnecessarily convoluted. In addition, when the characters use sarcasm, there is no need to point out every single time that it is sarcasm. All in all, the storyline is weak, and it seems that the ornate language in this book is more important than a logical plot. Much of what happened in the previous books has been ignored or forgotten. It’s really hard to concentrate while reading because the story keeps jumping from one place to another. I nearly started counting how many times the words ethereal, cosmic, dance and symphony were used…

The Dark Warriors series is back. I’m so glad that this came out because I’ve been dying to know what will happen next. Love the characters and the story had me hooked.

Filled with one skirmish after the other this is a demon filled story. Aison is full of quips and snarky commentary. It's a very good read.
