I'm mostly writing a review for this book because there's no reviews and why the hell not.
Reading this book was a blur, I was enjoying it to an extent but that also kinda blurred the lenses in which I saw the book. It reminds me of Onyx Storm where all the chapters are semi cliff-hangers to pull you into the next chapter or it hooks you onto a character or something interesting for you to keep reading.
I read this book a while back when I was getting out of my reading slump and this was one of my first romantasies so liking Rion and Arianna was given- until you read more and your rating increases or decreases. And sadly it was the latter it dropped from a 4 star to a 3 star. Very few characters feel memorable and Rion fell off so hard that I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a concussion.
Arianna is just a blur too and didn't this book have multiple POVS? Yeah those suck exceptionally when i don't care at all about the other characters or their romantic drama.
What to expect (from what I remember)
🖊️ Mates, Mates Mates, we know she's your mate Rion no need to stress the point
🖊️ Growling
🖊️ what I like to call "Curseism" because everyone is being super rude and annoying to Rion because he's cursed
The effect of the cliff hanger wasn't long lasting like Onyx Storm though, I saw it coming we all did and I couldn't care less about
I am absolutely loving this series! I have found myself seriously unsure of what is going to happen and that happens so rarely in a series for me. Little things I can guess or see coming of course but the fact that there are two more books is crazy to me! I love that this series doesn’t just end after one conflict or another, it just keeps going.
