Amare un adone milionario dovrebbe essere facile come contare fino a tre, ma Jonah Wells è un’equazione che non riesco a risolvere.

Ho trovato questo libro molto fresco e carino, ideale da leggere in un bel pomeriggio sotto l’ombrellone. Ora siamo decisamente fuori stagione, ma mi sono goduta lo stesso la lettura.
È molto scorrevole, anche se non ci sono colpi di scena o parti mozzafiato. La storia di Fran e Jonah è molto lineare e semplice: Jonah ha subito una bella batosta in passato e ha paura di soffrire di nuovo, Fran si sente in difficoltà per la grande differenza di conto in banca e posizione sociale con Jonah.

Avrei sicuramente gradito il pov anche di Jonah, ma devo dire che tutto sommato è stata una lettura piacevole, senza troppi scossoni, ideale per rilassarsi un po’ sognando un’isola deserta con un bel milionario

No es estrictamente necesario, ya que esta historia es stand-alone, pero es recomendable leer antes "Road Trip with the Billionaire" (review) ya que es la primera vez que Jonah y Fran aparecen.

Franchesca es la mejor amiga de Robbie, una escritora de una popular saga de ficción que en el libro anterior conoce al billonario Matt y se enamoran locamente. Jonah es el compañero de negocios/amigo de Matt, así que la conexión es bastante obvia.

Adoré a Jobah desde el libro anterior y esperaba ansiosamente por su historia, además el bonus del libro anterior es un gran enganche para no perder del radar a éste libro.

Franchesca es una contadora, realizando una pasantía en una importante compañía para un puesto permanente con una jefe fuera de serie. Con Robbie como mejor amiga sus fines de semana y vacaciones consisten en el ocasional avión privado, un yate y una isla privada en las Bahamas, nada para quejarse. Ella es trabajadora, un tanto testaruda y no acepta que la tomen como un caso de "caridad". Si Fran para el tiempo con Robbie eso quiere decir que su esposo Matt está cerca y Jonah es el agregado al grupo; los tiempos compartidos de esta forma llevan dos años hasta que una tormenta tropical los deja aislados en la famosa isla privada.

Tiene todos los componentes de una historia romántica contemporánea con todos los clichés necesarios y populares. No me hizo disfrutarla menos para nada, de hecho me gustó más que el libro anterior. Jonah es un poco difícil de entender pero una vez que uno conoce sus secretos lo puede entender mejor y respetar lo que hace y lo que ha hecho. Ambos personajes son adorables, tener vistazos de la vida de Robbie y Matt es muy reconfortable.

Al final del libro hay un hint de una próxima historia sobre Anna.... con un billonario!!! Anótenme para esa también.

Cosa succede quando una colorata e goffa stagista incontra un austero miliardario dalla vita un po’ grigia?

Forse nulla, perché i due appartengono a due mondi troppo lontani e conducono vite talmente diverse da essere ai poli opposti o, forse, di tutto e di più.

Per conoscere la risposta a questa domanda, vi basterà leggere Sun, Sea, the Billionaire and Me di Harmony Knight edita Triskell Edizioni.

I protagonisti della storia sono Jonah e Franchesca (sì, si scrive proprio così!), personaggi già noti a chi ha letto l’edizione italiana di Road Trip with the Billionaire della stessa autrice.

Per chi però, come me, non lo avesse fatto, li scoprirà pian piano e riderà con loro per episodi divertenti o si emozionerà per i momenti di toccante condivisione che vivranno.

Una cosa è certa: il difficile passato di entrambi conquisterà un pezzetto del vostro cuoricino in questa rom-com che vi farà anche tanto ridere.

Mi è piaciuta la caratterizzazione dei personaggi, soprattutto il modo in cui i due si stuzzicano e poi tornano a comportarsi da “amici” ma, nel momento in cui si rivedono, la chimica e l’intesa hanno sempre la meglio. Di sicuro, recupererò anche la storia di Robbie e Mark che mi ha incuriosito moltissimo nelle interazioni con i protagonisti.

La trama è molto carina, non ha grandi colpi di scena, ma è perfettamente in linea con la tipologia di romanzo.

Anche lo stile dell’autrice mi è piaciuto molto e, nonostante io sia un’amante della narrazione con il doppio pov in prima persona, in questo caso, il solo punto di vista di Fran non me ne ha fatto sentire la mancanza e, quindi, credo sia stata una scelta azzeccatissima.

Insomma, una dolce e divertente storia d’amore che vi farà svagare per qualche ora tra risate e occhi a cuoricino.

Fran really needed this vacation, who wouldn’t want to spend a few day on a private island with their bestie? But what was supposed to be a chilled vacation soon turns into Fran getting stuck on the island with charmingly hot best man Jonah when a freak tropical storm hits… at least she isn’t all alone right? While the storm continues to howl and lash on outside it would seem that a storm of attraction is brewing between Fran and Jonah, the question is can these two weather the storm that comes after their normal lives clash?

This was a super perfect read. I loved the fast paced fun read that came with this book. There was just something so consuming about Fran and Jonah’s story and I loved every moment of it. I just loved the fact that these two had this growing chemistry right from the first time they meet and this only grew with their less than graceful pond dive at their besties wedding.

Fran was such a sweetheart, I loved that she was so easy to relate to with all of her insecurities. Another thing that I really liked about her was the fact that she was hard working and determined to make her way on her own strengths. I absolutely loved that she always had these fashion oopsies every time that she was around Jonah but totally owned them. Gosh Jonah was just a gem, I loved him to bits and the more we got to know his character the more I liked him. He was the perfect billionaire boyfriend, giving so willingly and just being a nice guy. I really liked that he had this other layer about him that was just bubbling under the surface and this explains why he was so reserved with his heart.

The chemistry between these two was HOT!! I loved every moment that we got with them and getting to see them dance around their feeling for each other. I loved the build up in their chemistry from the wedding leading up to the anniversary and that Jonah created the entire delay in their departure so that he could have a bit more time with Fran. The only thing that didn’t totally work for me was the little bump in their relationship and the choppy way things resolved. Though I will say that everything worked out perfectly. I just loved the ending to their story and that they started the next chapter of their story back on the island where they first started. Also I just loved their friends both Matt and Robbie were the perfect supporting characters only adding to this cute story of setting up their besties.

Sun, Sea, The Billionaire and Me was a total treat to read, this tropical love story had me swooning, giggling and desperately wanting more time with Fran and Jonah. I would definitely recommend reading this book!

Will they take some time to enjoy the island and explore each other a little more? Will they take their relationship back to their real world daily lives? Or will the paparazzi and other turmoil drive them apart?

Fran and Jonah have mutual friends Matt and Robbie and they're bestman and maid of honor at their wedding, and meet later when Matt and Robbie invite them on a tropical island for a one-year wedding anniversary celebration. One of those billionaire things, you know. There is a definite spark but somebody always seems to interrupt any near-kiss situations and Fran feels like Jonah runs hot and cold too much to be a good prospect. She is interning in an accounting company and very stressed about her job, well, mostly for her nightmare boss. Jonah tells her he never dates, so they end up doing some not-dating. There were some nasty headlines about Fran and I was hoping for some resolution but that plot thread just vanished and was never mentioned again. I don't know if Jonah even found out.

Series status: Matt and Robbie got together in Roadtrip with a Billionaire and if you've read it you saw Jonah and Fran meeting for the first time. But I don't think it's necessary to start with that book in order to understand this. They met briefly when Matt and Robbie were broken up, Fran told Robbie that she thought he was hot but it didn't lead to anything further, that time.

It's a cute, low-angst fluffy story that I finished in pretty much one sitting. The five star rating is because it kept a smile on my face throughout. The dialogue is amusing, the editing is good and I liked the main characters. The point of view is hers throughout.

Steam level: Some sexual content. There is optional bonus content that's just the first sex scene from the male POV.

Content: alcoholism of a minor character.

Harmony Knight is a can't miss author - everything she publishes is golden. Sun, Sea, the Billionaire and Me is no exception. This absolutely hilarious romantic comedy checks every box - brilliantly-written; dynamic, engaging characters; entertaining banter; steamy romance... We met most of the cast in Road Trip with the Billionaire - not required reading to enjoy this novel but it is just as good so why wouldn't you want to read Matt and Robbie's story? - and the development of Jonah and Fran's story amidst a reunion with characters we previously fell in love with just makes this book even more engrossing.

I cannot recommend Sun, Sea, the Billionaire and Me enough. If you're like me, you will not be able to put this fabulous novel down!

Delightfully, hilarious romance story. Packed with emotion, realistic characters and a very supported circle of friends. Mending, building and rebuilding of old and new relationships. I admire Franchesca's independence and drive to make it on her own merit, she's strong and hilarious. Jonah is reserved without being arrogant. They're perfectly matched. Lovely story, makes you laugh, cheesy grin, warmly romantic and almost cry. Prepare to be completely entertained, from start to finish and wish to be stranded. È dura aspettarsi il peggio dalle cose che desideri avvengano. Non aspettarti nulla e non rimarrai mai deluso.



Ben trovati Magnetici, niente, la Knight con questa serie mi ha affascinata e mi sta facendo divertire un mondo.

Questa volta ci troviamo a vivere le avventure di Jonas, amico e socio di Matt, e Francesca, l’amica più sorella direi di Roberta.

Dopo l’incontro disastroso al matrimonio di Robie, Fran e Jonas si rincontrano al primo anniversario dei migliori amici. Lei è totalmente assorbita dal suo anno di schiavitù, ops, pratica presso una delle società più importanti di Manhattan e quindi in quella settimana cercherà di riposare e ricaricare le batterie, ma quando tutto sembra finire ed è pronta a ripartire ecco che tutto tra loro comincia, anche se sono solo incontri di sesso, anche se dopo Francesca dovrà allontanarlo perché troppo distanti i loro mondi.



Con un braccio mi avvolge il retro della testa e con l’altro mi cinge i fianchi e le natiche che tira in avanti, attirandomi di più verso la sua erezione. Sto annegando in questo piacere, mi sto lasciando trasportare dall’intimità del modo in cui sta lentamente e volontariamente esplorando il nostro bacio.



Come ho detto è un libro che regala leggerezza e ti avvolge. I protagonisti sono spassosi, ma i personaggi secondari sono altrettanto ben caratterizzati.

Fran l’ho adorata per la sua schiettezza, la sua fierezza, il suo sentirsi pronta ad affrontare tutto senza mai arrendersi, e forse proprio questo affascinerà il nostro miliardario.

Jonas è un tenerone, vuole apparire ciò che non è, e non nascondo che nel primo libro mi stava anche antipatico.

Le scene bollenti non mancheranno come gli scenari da sogno.

Lo consiglio senza dubbio per qualche ora di puro relax.

«Ma sappiamo bene che il matrimonio non è solo il primo giorno, ma anche tutti quelli che seguono.» C’è un mormorio di assenso e noto Eric, con la coda dell’occhio, che attira a sé Fiona e le mette un braccio sulle spalle. «Si tratta di trovare la persona con cui vuoi svegliarti ogni mattina senza mai annoiarti,» continua e, quando riporto gli occhi su di lui, vedo che sta guardando proprio me, in mezzo alla folla. Il mio cuore salta un battito. «Si tratta di avere il coraggio di trovare la persona che legherà la propria anima alla tua, che condividerà con te le gioie e i dolori, che ti amerà nei momenti peggiori e festeggerà quelli migliori…»

Fa sempre piacere leggere una commedia romantica dopo averne letti un paio che trattavano temi più importanti; la commedia di cui vi parlo è Sun, Sea, the Billionaire and Me, storia non molto complicata, dove aleggia quel velo di dolcezza, simpatia e qualche domanda senza risposta se non a un certo punto.

Fran e Jonah sono i protagonisti di questa storia; i festeggiamenti per l’anniversario dei loro amici su un isola privata sono terminati e il ritorno a casa e alla vita di tutti i giorni é imminente, ma una tempesta tropicale li blocca sull’isola. L’attrazione che Franchesca ha sempre sentito per il bellissimo milionario acquista una nuova forza quando si ritroveranno rinchiusi nel bunker al sicuro dalla tempesta ma non da Jonah e da se stessa.
Fran è una vera nerd con i numeri, con alle spalle un mucchio di appuntamenti falliti, una capa che chiamarla pazza é un eufemismo.
Jonah è bello, ricco e affascinante, schivo, galante ma di pochissime parole.

non riesco a sopportare oltre il suo comportamento senza senso. Non asseconderò più il suo gioco di atteggiamenti altalenanti. È come una roulette russa: all’inizio è eccitante, sicuro, ma alla fine non è affatto divertente.

Con una sola voce narrante, Harmony Knight ci regala una storia dolce pur toccando tasti delicati; sebbene abbia apprezzato la storia, il protagonista di Jonah non è particolarmente caratterizzato forse in mancanza del suo punto di vista o forse perché non risulta un chiacchierone nei dialoghi pur restando un uomo sicuro di sé.
Fran resta comunque una donna forte e determinata nonostante le mille difficoltà affrontate; non si lascia abbagliare dal mondo dorato dei ricchi, malgrado delle volte essere circondata dal lusso la faccia sentire insicura di se stessa.
E Jonah? Beh poche parole e concrete, ma si avverte subito che lui è diverso dagli altri uomini. Se solo fosse propenso ad avere una relazione…..

mi conosco abbastanza bene da sapere che, al di fuori dei matrimoni e delle vacanze, non sono il tipo di donna che può avere solo un’avventura. Me ne innamorerò. E tanto. E tutto finirà quando Jonah inevitabilmente se ne andrà per andare avanti con la sua fantastica vita da milionario e mi lascerà a terra, con il cuore spezzato, in mezzo a ciò che rimane dei miei sogni.

Per chi ama le storie senza troppe complicazioni, quelle romantiche che non cadono nel melenso, vi consiglio di leggere Sun, Sea, the Billionaire and Me.

Jonah Wells mi aveva conquistato già nel primo volume della serie, e avevo già scritto di lui nella relativa recensione. Come Fran anche io avevo preso una cotta per lui quando si è tolto il casco ed è sceso dalla sua Harley Davidson. Ma a differenza di Fran io non sono rimasta sola con lui sulla sua isola deserta.

Partiamo dall’inizio: dopo la sua affascinante conoscenza non ero pronta al personaggio che la Harmony ci regala in questo romanzo. Perché Jonah è tutto da scoprire e lascia senza fiato… non solo per la sua bellezza.

Ad ogni evento mondano è accompagnato da splendide modelle e attrici, non è certo un santo, ma le apparenze ingannano. La sua storia strappa consensi, il suo comportamento lascia gli occhi a cuoricino e come Fran è impossibile rimanere indifferenti di fronte a questo ragazzo.

Fran è la sua degna controparte: una ragazza dal cuore grande, che mette amore e amicizia al primo posto, una ragazza che cerca di farcela da sola, anche se gli eventi non sono sempre a suo favore.



“La terza certezza nella vita è che ogni volta che le cose sembrano andare bene per me, Franchesca Jane Potts di Meadow Hill, a nord di New York, l’universo mi lancia una palla curva che mi fa cadere di nuovo con il culo per terra.”



Colpisce la sua dignità, che la fa arretrare di fronte a ogni offerta di aiuto economico della sua migliore amica, per paura di passare per quella che la sfrutta. Altrettanto degni di nota i modi in cui i suoi amici ricchi riescano ad inventarsi modi per darle quel sostegno che direttamente lei non sarebbe in grado di accettare.

C’è sempre tanto rispetto nei romanzi della Knight, storie romantiche, una narrazione fluente, dialoghi divertenti, situazioni esilaranti, e descrizioni di luoghi spettacolari, dall’inverno e la neve alla sabbie caraibiche.

Le interazioni di Fran e Jonah spaziano dal divertente, perché la “sfortuna” della ragazza sembra saperla sempre far precipitare in situazioni davvero molto imbarazzanti, ad uno spiccato spicy, perché insieme sono un fuoco che brucia, l’attrazione che li spinge l’uno verso l’altro sovverte ogni legge della chimica.

Si ritrovano i personaggi del primo romanzo, e anche qui un ruolo di rilievo lo ha la famiglia e l’amicizia.

Una lettura semplice e delicata, che scivola e riempi di buon umore e di speranza, una piccola coccola invernale.

Trope: forced proximity - Billionaire

La damigella d’onore e il testimone dello sposo. Sarà pure un cliché, ma a Fran Potts non dispiacerebbe avere un’avventura con Jonah Wells. Tra i due c’è sempre stata attrazione, ma Jonah ha atteggiamenti contrastanti: un momento flirta, quello dopo si allontana. Ormai Fran si è convinta che tra loro non potrà esserci nulla, e un anno passa rapidamente. Alla festa per il primo anniversario di matrimonio dei loro migliori amici, i due si incontrano nuovamente e dovranno passare qualche giorno insieme. Che sia la volta buona?

Su questo romance c’è poco dire: è una commedia romantica con una protagonista spesso e volentieri perseguitata dalla sfortuna, un affascinante miliardario e quel po’ di spicy che non guasta mai, quindi l’ideale come lettura leggera.
È il secondo volume di una serie, riprendendo alcuni dei personaggi di The Road Trip with the Billionaire (che devo ancora leggere). Se nel primo abbiamo come coppia protagonista Matt e Robbie, qui il palco è tutto per Jonah e Fran.
Mi fa morire che il nome della protagonista sia Franchesca e non Francesca, con le tipiche storpiature di chi italiano non è, e in una scena in un ristorante italiano, l’anziano proprietario di quasi 70 anni le dice che anche la sua bisnonna si chiamava Franchesca!
In conclusione: tipica rom-com del filone billionaire senza grosse pretese, ma piacevole compagnia per qualche ora di puro relax.

First of all, I loved this book. It kind of has a previous one (Road trip with a billionaire), but it's not necessary to read the first one (although I highly recommend it).

One might think that romance books are all the same: two people meet fall in love (or hate each other), then there are some obstacles, and then they live happily ever after.

What I like about Harmony Knight's books is that the plot isn't as simple as I've already described.

There isn't as many jokes as in the first book (in my opinion) but still a lot of things happen very unexpectedly.

Francesca is so great! She's a strong and confident woman. She doesn't wallow in self-pity, she works hard and gets what she deserves. I liked that a lot.

Jonah isn't an asshole. Well, I think that's enough about him. But, of course, you will definitely fall in love with him.

As I'm writing this review, I'm thinking about another female character who hasn't got a sweetheart yet. I really hope we'll see her in the next book.

And the last thing: I wish the book was a bit longer. Not because something was left untold, but I've had such a great time with it that I'm sorry it ended.

This book started out cute but ended up just being a jumbled mess of random plot lines...I really could not understand why a person with an accounting degree would suffer through a PA internship just to try to get an accounting job in a year...like apply for an accounting job? In ny? It won't be hard to find one. And why is Jonah a 30 yr old billionaire? The dialogue got really cheesy and lazy and overall, stupid. And the characters used a lot of British terms which makes me think either the author is British or chose to write this in a really strange style but the language used took me out of the story a lot bc...a girl living in NY from the PA country would not speak like this. And Jonah went from hardly interested to so over the top devoted, it made no sense. And the dad plot? Nope...just wasted pages. Overall, not a well developed book and I probably won't look to read more from this author.

Ho scoperto Harmony Knight lo scorso Natale, leggendo il romanzo breve “Uno Sgrooge a Sunrise Valley”, che mi è piaciuto un sacco, così quando ho visto che sarebbe arrivata una romcom dell’autrice ho voluto subito leggerla.

Premetto che pur essendo uno standalone, questo libro è collegato al romanzo “Road trip with the billionaire”, uscito qualche mese fa, perché le due protagoniste sono migliori amiche. La storia è capibile senza problemi, ma io ho provato la sensazione di essermi persa un pezzo, dato che i due protagonisti si incontrano per la prima volta nell’altro volume, perciò il mio consiglio spassionato è di leggere prima l’altro libro. Per quanto mi riguarda, non appena ho concluso “Sun, sea, the billionare and me”, mi ci sono buttata e se volete sulla pagina trovate già la recensione disponibile.

Jonah e Fran si conoscono grazie ai propri migliori amici che si sono sposati e, in qualità di testimone dello sposo e damigella d’onore, ritrovarsi a passare del tempo insieme flirtando è inevitabile. Ma se Fran vorrebbe trasformare quei momenti di flirt e andare oltre, non si capisce cosa voglia Jonah, che passa da essere aperto e sensuale a chiuso e distaccato.

Attraverso l’unico pov femminile, assisteremo a momenti divertenti e leggeri, insieme ad altri più seri e profondi, uniti a quelli immancabilmente carichi di tensione.

Mi piace davvero tanto come scrive e struttura le sue storie l’autrice.
Non esagera con nessun ingrediente narrativo, riesce a dosare sapientemente le parti divertenti, romantiche, sensuali e quelle più drammatiche.

Leggere questo libro è stata una vera gioia. Mi ha fatto passare delle ore in splendida compagnia con questi personaggi e l’ambientazione paradisiaca da isola privata. Sono arrivata alla fine senza rendermene conto e mi è dispiaciuto dover chiudere il kindle. Se cercate una storia che vi faccia stare bene e con il sorriso sulle labbra, quest'autrice e questa lettura sono perfette.
Spero di poter leggere ancora altro della Knight.

This story was easy to read and enjoy.

Fran is likable and completely relatable. I found myself empathetic to her feelings of "less-than" around all the wealth and opulence of her friends' lives. She is a sweet character.

Jonah is definitely all the things we want in a billionaire book boyfriend.
While these two have a good connection and chemistry, their steamy scenes weren't exactly what I was expecting. It didn't flow as easily as I wanted it to, which is why it's a four star for me. (I enjoyed everything else.)

The secondary characters are fun and add layers to the storyline that I enjoyed.

I do recommend reading this book, as I liked the story and devoured it in one sitting.

No ordinary person can seriously imagine gaining the attention of a billionaire, let alone win his heart. I had to find out how the author would spin it. I can honestly say I enjoyed Fran and Jonah's story from beginning to end. The attraction between them was evident from the get-go, but so many things could've caused it to crash in a heartbeat. I'm glad they stayed the course. The heat between Fran and Jonah was well-timed and definitely 5 of 5 flames, and I was happy the author didn't use it to override the heart of the story: the romance and the obstacles they needed to conquer to get their happily-ever-after.

The book follows Jonah & Fran, who are the best friends of Matt & Robbie (Roberta). They get married and Jonah & Fran end up not taking the chance of starting a relationship with one another. Then a year later, the two rekindle a connection during a group trip where they are left alone together on a deserted island during a storm.

A rom-com delight! This is Jonah and Fran's story, and I really liked it. These two are thrust together by circumstances brought about by their mutual friends. When their friends go to celebrate their one-year anniversary on a remote island Jonah and Fran find themselves stranded due to a storm. A well written romantic comedy that is sweet and steamy with a great balance for laughs too. Easy to read and smooth flowing storyline that was a delight to read. I'm definitely looking forward to more!

First time reading from this author and I really enjoyed this book!! This was a great romance/comedy book about Francesca and Jonah. Francesca is stranded on an island after being there for her best friends anniversary party with Jonah who owns half of the island with her best friends husband. I really like Francesca’s personality and then Jonah is a quite/shy guy who has been hurt before. Such a great book!!.

Amusing! However, I cried quite a lot!

It’s supposed to be a fairy tale, but Fran’s living condition, her struggle and frustration were realistic. I was drawn into the story and couldn’t stop until it’s ended.

It’s an excellent weekend read!

BTW, if Harmony could write more a bit from Jonah’s perspective the story would be perfect!

Absolutely loved this book.Had me in stitches from the first page.I loved Fran and Jonah as a couple.Really good story,it made me laugh a lot but also had an emotional side to it.

It was a page turner,could not put it down,Starting from the wedding right to the HEA at the end.

This is the first book i have read by Harmony and i highly reccomend it.

So good!!! characters, dialogue, plot are all so good!! A swoony hero, a tropical island vacation, a charity auction are all here.

I’ve added Harmony Knight to my list of favorite authors and I hope she has a new book coming soon.
This book can certainly be read as a standalone but I’m glad I read Road Trip with a Billionaire first bc Matt and Robbie have a part here.
