I have an addiction to books. There I said it, isn't admitting it have the battle. I have always read everything I can get my hands on. My greatest joy is writing a review for a fellow author that has blown me away.
When I set down and decided to take the leap to make my life time dream come true and write a book I was terrified, but in a good way. Publishing a book is the most thrilling thing I have ever done. That's with having 14 grand-kids. LOL!

Saving Charly is a romance story with some suspense and thrills that make for a compelling storyline. The characters are interesting and quite realistic. They are also likable. Charly is a very independent woman who finds out that her long lost father died and left her his estate. When she leaves the midwest to meet with his attorneys, Charly discovers she and the father that she never had the opportunity to get to know, have a lot in common. He named his bar after her and owning one has been her life long dream. She meets his employees and knows she wants to make a go of it in Los Angeles. She falls hard and fast for her Dad's best friend, Rocky, and his dog Roscoe. I fell for Roscoe too. Charly finds family and home. Things take a turn when Charly discovers that her father's death may not have been an accident. A mobster named Vinnie shows up at her door to make her an offer she should not refuse or suffer the consequences. With many twists, a big betrayal, lots of steamy romance, and an action-packed ending, this book was a very enjoyable read.

This is the first time I've read anything by this author, but boy was I happy reading this story. We meet Charly as she's traveling from Kansas to Los Angeles to handle a club owned by her now deceased father. Adding to the mix, Charly hadn't seen him since she was a little girl. So she's not sure what she's walking into. Enter the club and the "family" as they're all close knit working at the club. Rocky handles security for the club. As we see the attraction between Rocky and Charly climb the charts, we also know there is a subplot in the story----someone wants the club! You get the POV of more than just the hero and heroine in the book which was a nice change. You'll have to read the book to find out who is behind the plot to take out Charly and take the club by any means necessary.

Steamy romance and suspenseful all at once. What more could a person want? Read the book!!

ONE KICKAZZ ADVENTURE!!!
Holy hell! Nancy raised the bar on this jaw dropping, mind blowing bombshell ramping up the stakes, keeping it real. Bringing out the big guns, C-4 and assult rifles for this thrilling storyline and gripping plot catapulting this gem together flawlessly. Blundering through the trials and tribulations, along with a bevy of astonishing twists and stunning turns testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. Exposing the drama, intrigue, turmoil, secrets, danger and mounting suspense spirals, keeping you riveted on a razors edge. Toss in distress, chaos and nerve racking situations along with a boatload of escapades while wreaking havoc, you have one block busting masterpiece. The dynamics and presentation in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into the web so deep you feel everything the characters feel one page at a time. The characters and their on point personalities are genuine and realistic with depth and qualities and just enough flaws for diversity. The scenes are so colorfully descriptive it's easy to interpret each scenario as they play off one another flawlessly. Amazing job Nancy, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

This was a hot steamy erotic romance story perfect for a quick afternoon read.
A great heart pounding read. The story was very well written with great characters. It drew me in and I had it finished in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.

Attraction and conspiracy

Very good romance full of twists and mysteries around a club that the heroine inherits. The characters are very good and the age gap between them is not shocking because it is rather well constructed. It’s just a shame there’s no epilogue.
Charly discovers that the father whom she believed completely indifferent to her existence, bequeathed to her his club in Los Angelès. She leaves Kansas and although notaries urge her to sell, she quickly becomes attached to everyone who works there, including the head of security, Rocky, who was his father's best friend since the army. Quickly, she understands that her father's death was not accidental and that something is going on around her property, which Rocky and she are ready to defend.

I absolutely loved Charly. She is smart, strong, knows what she wants and doesn't put up with BS. She faces life head on and isn't afraid to face whatever life throws at her. What she decides she wants is the club her father left for her and Rocky. When others threaten to take that away from her, Charly doesn't shy away from what has to be done. The story was fast paced and kept my interest to the suspenseful ending. The only detractor was the slightly abrupt writing style, but once I got used to it, it was fine.

This was an exciting story about a young woman named Charly (Charlene), whose father died and left her a bar, land, and lots of money. But there are mysteries to solve. Why is the bar losing so much money and having lots of small things going wrong? Was her father's death really an accident? Why are the lawyers so desperately eager for her to sell? Who is behind the dangerous events? Rocky is the man who begins to protect Charly and tries to help her solve the mysteries. I especially liked how "rough and tough" Charly is, as he tries to find and stand up to the people who are causing her problems. I highly recommend this book!

This is an exciting action packed suspense filled romance story.Charley gets a letter from a lawyer in la telling her that her father is dead an to come sign some papers an hel l sell everything.But when she gets there she falls in love with the Club an Rocky her fathers best friend.There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author.

Would have given it a 5 star except for the errors. First book I've read from this author. Really liked it also with the military background. Charley didn't know what she was getting into when she went to Cali. Of course the silver Fox wasn't bad either. HEA.

Really fast paced story. Lots of twists and turns, drama, adventure, danger, mystery, fear and love. Charley inherits her dad's business (bar) and money. She's very attracted and falls for for her dad's best friend, Rocky. He's older and wiser and starts to protect Charliy to solve who is behind her father's death. Saving Charly is a great romantic suspense story.

The characters are well developed, strong, intelligent, and have amazing chemistry together. The storyline is well written and compelling, as Charly inherits a club from the father she hadn't seen for years. She also falls for his best friend, Rocky. There is death, danger, suspense, intrigue, and steamy romance.

Rocky and Charly have undeniable chemistry and amazing dynamics. This has a very interesting storyline that is thrilling and action packed. I really recommend this book and will be reading more of Nancy Chastain's works.

Charly receives a phone call from her father's lawyer that he has died. She rushes to go to LA to find out what he left her and why the lawyer is pushing for everything to be sold. When she gets there the feeling she gets from the lawyers isn't a good one. When she learns that her father had a night club she wants to go see it. She sees promise in it and won't make any hasty decisions on what to do with what he left her. Rocky is her father's best friend and the security of the club, Teri works inside the club and does the books, Aric is the chef in the club and Zeke runs the bar with Cal as well as dancing in the club. Charly meet Teri and Zeke first and then Rocky large as life comes in. She runs the lawyer off wanting to stay where her father lives above the club. Soon when it becomes apparent that she is going to just give in and go away people show up making vailed threats to her. Things heat up between her and Rocky even though he tried to fight his attraction to her. Together Charly and Rocky investigate what happened to her father and if it wasn't accidental who was behind his death. Can Rocky keep Charly safe from the hidden dangers even they weren't sure about? Will Rocky see that Charly is the woman he needs in his life?

This is an amazing story I couldn't put it down once I started it. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what would happen next. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I'll definitely be putting this author on my watch list. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A superbly written older man younger woman romantic suspense read. It is emotionally deep, compelling, well written, engaging, funny, and passionate. An on the edge-of-your-seat captivating page-turner with drama, suspense, danger, and more heart-racing adventure. Likeable and strong characters; their chemistry is instant and off the charts! I liked the way this started with Charly being notified that her absent father had passed and had left everything to her. As her life drastically changed, her strong gritty personality showed through. It wasn't clear (in the beginning) who the hero was in the story which I also liked. Having multiple POVs made for an interesting twist.
Lots of moving parts in this romance, that didn't flow as smoothly as I would have preferred. The pacing was a bit uneven and I think that kept me from getting into the plot and storyline.
I liked the twists and turns with the bittersweet feelings that Chuck's letters evoked when Charly finally pieced together her past. This storyline had a lot of betrayal and tested loyalties that was sad and ultimately lead to Chuck's death.
Kudos to the author in creating a strong spunky heroine in Charly.

This story deserves more than five stars. To start with Nancy has a way with words that grips you throughout the whole story. I was blessed to get an ARC of this book. Rocky is the type of Alpha male I would love to protect me. I mean seeing how much he cared for Charly even though he tried to keep her at arms length made me fall for him just as she did. Charly even though she was from a small town in Kansas proved to be a strong take no crap from anyone type of person. When i was reading it felt like i was in the story living the life she was. My heart was in my throat when Charly was Kidnapped. I was left in shock when I finished this book because of how it ended. I highly recommend reading this book.

Hold on tight

Charly receives a letter from a Law firm in LA telling she needs to come out & sign papers to liquidate her deceased fathers business. Charly never knew her father, she was told by her mother he walked out & never looked back. She will soon find out that was not true. She finds out she is the owner of a successful club; she meets the workers & makes a connection with Rocky head of security & her fathers best friend. She feels safe with Rocky & trusts him to help her find out why she’s been told she needs to sell & go back to Kansas. Charly knows what & who she wants & doesn’t care what anyone thinks. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat with mystery, danger and action. I have to say with all the intense action near the end i was looking for more in the ending. All in all great story & characters.
