After reading the box set Calum's Curse I had to know more about Adlin. I must say I usually am not found of historical/medieval stories but I liked the first set so much I decided to try it. I was not disappointed, loved the Time travel and very well developed characters (in more ways than one). There was not a lot of focus on history which I find tedious but certainly enough to get a feel for the time period and understand what the characters were forced to deal with.
When I got done I needed more so onto the next MacLomain set..

Highland Defiance- Book One
Honestly my first thought was that the book was too short. Adlin is the type of character that you will find in each book and you will learn more about his past and who and what makes him. He is an incredible character.
Highland Persuasion- Book Two
Iosbail is the original hellion. She is strong and fierce. She has a heart of gold and appreciates those who show compassion for others. Her story is one of great sacrifice and leadership.
Highland Mystic- Book Three
Absolutely loved. Caitriona & Alan will capture your heart. They are both the best of who we all could be. She is the healer with an open-heart full of compassion for others and passion for life. Alan is the happy-go-lucky guy everyone wants to be around. He is the fiercest of warriors and respected by many.
Truly inspiring and creative. Each book delves into a world of mystery and intrigued. A world where there is not just one God, but a God who is respected alongside the old God's. A world that still believed in the power of magic. Words have meaning and to every action is a reaction.
There is so much that happens in each of these stories that blends into the next. Each one is unique and will amaze you how much they differ. You truly become immersed in this world as various characters continue in the storyline of each book. Things that happened in one makes sense in another.

Ah yes !
Have you ever read a book ,and wondered what had come before all the characters had been . This set of books is your chance to get to know where they all started . Very well written , thought out and yet still leaves you wanting more . Since I started somewhere in the middle of all the sets of books ,now I feel like my reading has just begun again . Sky Purington will keep you happy with her stories for as long as this quarantine lasts (and into the future ) .

I love the MacLomains! I especially love Adlin, but then all of the characters in this book have something to look forward to! The plots are well developed and always keep you guessing the directions it will take. The only thing that you can be sure of, love will triumph in the end but what San adventure reading this series!

I just finished this boxed set. I found all 3 books to be very interesting that I had to get the set that was after these that was in that was a prelude to this series. I did very much enjoy reading this set and read some the others, I will finish the other 2 in the next set and gradually build on this series. As I did enjoy reading it.

Superb!
I have just started reading the entire series. So far so good. I was confused a bit with all the moving about in time but I did enjoy the background story to the characters that will be showing up in their own adventurer. I am quite looking forward to them.

Great story line! Wizards, beautiful strong women and handsome strong highlanders!
Love can concur all even a prophecy that says someone has to die! Keeps you on your toes and keeps you interested in what will come next! Time travel at its best!

Well thse books are very long with Irish Scottish and even English magic. Seems like everyone in these stories has some type of magic. The is talk about the new God (Christian) and the old gods.

Ms. Purington has created a world of magic and enchantment that crossed the boundaries of time and place the lives of so many are inextricably woven together, and this collection shows how it. Heroic magical warrior and dauntless mystical maidens all play a part in the universe's plan to combat the forces of evil and darkness, and I look forward to reading the other books set in this world. Highly recommend.
