OVERALL STAR RATING: 5/5
CLEAN RATING: 5/5

Yay! The Coffee Loft is BACK! Cozy up with your favorite cup of coffee and some of these awesome little bite size novellas this Fall. I really enjoyed their Winter collection last year, so I was thrilled when I saw them announce that a Fall collection was in the works. These are always SO binge worthy…easily read in two or three hours and they never seem to disappoint.

Move over “brother’s best friend” trope because in this story we have a brother’s RIVAL! Can you say D-R-A-M-A!? lol

Gia the cheerleader and North the high school football star, great friends and while North is interested in more, he’s extremely shy and chickens out at ever taking that extra step in asking Gia to be his girlfriend. Ten years later and their paths have crossed yet again. North has never stopped thinking about Gia and is determined to put himself out there this time. The only thing is Gia’s delinquent brother is bound and determined to keep them apart. And I mean SERIOUSLY next level determined!

Such a great second chance romance story that’s less than 200 pages long. North’s character was just the sweetest. Find yourself a man that’ll help clean out your hoarding father’s house and I think you’re pretty set. HAHA Highly recommend picking this one up.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

So I’d wanted to read this author’s book in the first collection of The Coffee Loft series, but didn’t have time to fit it in. I was able to read this one and boy am I glad I did! I sped through this delightfully sweet story, finished in one day basically! Gia and North were sweet and perfect together. And I loved the axolotl that they talked about, that it was such a cute little lizard both in a stuffed animal, and in North’s classroom as well.

The small town aspect was a lot of fun as well, the characters working at the Coffee Loft shop, as well as Gia’s father. Then there was Gia’s brother. He was a villain, and caused so many issues in this story! From the reason they didn’t get together in high school, to even trying to keep them apart as adults, when her brother wasn’t even talking to her or really her father that much either. I liked the story arc for her brother, North’s former best friend.

The reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars though, also kind of has to do with the brother. I feel like maybe I needed more of a reason why he was the way he was about his friend dating his sister. Also, I would have liked more than a side note at what happened with the brother when things got “solved”. Other than that little bit, I adored this story and hope to read more by this author in the future! This is a sweet and clean romance, short and sweet as well!

Friends to lovers
Childhood friends
Football/cheerleader
Brothers rival
A splash of suspense
Sweet and clean romance

“I don't want to be that pick- me girl that people complain about but when it comes to North, yes, I'm her.”

North is a high school football star and he’s majorly crushing on his teammate’s sister. Shy and a good guy, he’s reluctant to pursue Gia when her brother makes it clear to stay away from his sister.
So he doesn’t pursue her.

A decade later and both are still in their hometowns, it’s a second chance to the what if?

Gia and North have always been smitten with eachother but her brother was always in the way causing problems. Bigger problems now as an adult.

A few coffee meetups and these two can’t stay away from eachother.
“He looks better than a walking deep fried donut, and he's coming this way.”

How does the good guy get the girl of his dreams? Between a house cleanup, chai drinks, and a football game.. they’ll get their Happily Ever After a decade after high school. 🩷

This sweet series has my heart. Written from all different authors and each story highlights a Coffee Loft coffee shop with always adorable and lovable characters. I’m obsessed!

This story is the first one to release in the multi-author book series for the Coffee Loft Fall collection. Each one can be read as a stand alone & in any order & all feature a different Coffee Loft location.

The story follows North Newson & Gia Bella. It's a dual pov as well as a dual timeline beginning in their high school days when North was a football player & Gia a cheerleader at the same school. Gia was also North's rival's sister! They both really liked each other but shyness as well as their fate being at the hands of other people had them going their separate ways.

Fast forward a decade & they've found themselves in each other's company once again when the stars align via a freak accident involving Gia's dad who is also North's current neighbor. Upon meeting again, they realize that they are just as smitten with each other now as they ever were back in high school. Can they make it work this time around or will those same hands block their relationship this time as well?

This is a really sweet romcom with several layers to it. There's love & commitment to family, a little suspense & intrigue as well as the addition of a really cool pet-an axolotl!
If you've read Sterling's previous Coffee Loft book "Pardon My French Press" you'll recognize an old favorite...Portia, along with a fun nod to her dating app she created mentioned as well as that famous French press. LOL
I loved watching North overcome his shyness & them both stepping out of their comfort zones to finally embrace their feelings. I also loved that the bad guy got what was coming to him in the end as well.
Definitely a great start to the new season & looking forward to all of the other books in the series as well!

This is the first book to kick off the fall collection of The Coffee Loft series. It’s the sweetest “it was always you” story.

In this heartwarming novella, we learn that Gia Bella and North Newson have loved each other for YEARS. But neither one ever said anything! We meet them as high schoolers and learn that North is totally shy, and also warned off by Rocco (Gia’s brother). Rocco is North’s friend but also a rival in some ways. Rocco made me roll my eyes on multiple occasions - drama is essentially this dude’s shadow.
We get to see Gia and North many years later as adults and experience them fall more for one another when they reconnect over Gia’s dad’s hoarding issue. Their chemistry is easy and North is sweet as can be!

I literally laughed out loud in some parts - one of them being the North grabbing Gia’s drink at the coffee shop in high school because…oh my gosh. Lol. I also said “awh” out loud a handful of times. It’s funny, swoony, and will make you want a yummy fall flavored beverage.

Notes: The Coffee Loft series is a multi-author series. Each book features a Coffee Loft shop. These books can be read as standalones. Also - Rocco makes an appearance in The Pucker-Up Pact by J.P. Sterling, so if you enjoyed him as a villain, definitely go check out The Pucker-Up Pact!

Tropes: friends to lovers, brother’s rival (kinda), forbidden love, boy next door, Friday night lights vibes, it was always you, golden retriever MMC, football/cheerleader, closed-door romance, just kisses

Things I loved: Meeting under the bleachers. The axolotl 🥹 Gia and the “rent a cop” encounter. The random items Gia’s dad hoarded lol! The letterman jacket. NORTH.

ARC Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

North and Gia grew up as next door neighbors. While both secretly had feelings for one another, they never acted upon them. After reconnecting as adults they are given a second chance. Will they finally find the courage to share their true feelings, or will they chicken out once more?

If you are in the mood for a sweet, second chance romance set in a small town, then look no further than J.P. Sterling’s latest release.

No More Mr. Chai Guy was the perfect read to kick start the fall season. Being a novella, I easily consumed it in one setting. It gave me all of the feels while remaining clean.

Recommendations for consuming:

1.) Pick up your favorite beverage- preferably from a local coffee shop.

2.) Change into your most comfortable, cozy clothes.

3.) Grab a blanket and/ or stuffed animal- bonus points if it is an axolotl.

4.) Curl up in your favorite reading spot.

Special thanks to Netgalley, Victoria Editing, and J.P. Sterling for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to J.P. Sterling for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I did enjoy this book. I loved the fact that it was a short and sweet novella. However, I felt like this book would have been even better if it was a bit longer. It was very enjoyable but I think that some of the plots could have been explored and developed a bit more had the book been longer. I would have loved that. Either way, it was enjoyable and sweet. I recommend this to anyone that enjoys low stakes, fun and fluffy novellas.

If you love the fall and reading books with fun fall vibes, you're going to want to grab this one! I loved it from the get go! The cheerleader and the football player. They were super cute together. Noah and Gia. Unfortunately, their super cute beginning takes a bit of a backseat for 10 years until some unforeseen circumstances bring them back together...thankfully!!! Seriously, the cuteness of these two made me so happy!

There is a little bit of mystery happening that brings these two together even more.

I loved all of the throwback to their history that is scattered throughout the story. It was so cute and sweet. I know, I keep saying cute, but it's true. That's how I feel about this one! I just couldn't help but smile while I was reading it. Noah is the best! I love how he's not going to let anything get in the way of his second chance with Gia. He pulls out all the charm!!! And Gia is just adorable. I loved her care for those around her, especially her father!

This is the first book in this second round of Coffee Loft series books!!! Fall readers are going to love them all!!!

Content: Clean. Some sweet kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Thank you to the author for my gifted advanced ebook reader copy.

No More Mr. Chai Guy was a perfect read. It was short read but the author did a fantastic job with how the details and plot were written. She gave plenty of background to the characters without taking away from the present timeline. Each character was well developed and I loved the MMC and FMC relationship. Highly recommend picking this book up

Pure and simply ,amazingly cute couple . They could have been sweethearts if only he wasn’t so shy and let her drift,by. She thought they’d had chance when he asked her to dance but that was brisk and that chaste kiss was amiss…. He,left her forlorn and so bereft then he went and up and left! But now he’s back and coaching the team , nightmare ! Or it could be a dream , if only he’d come and redeem himself after the debacle of a decade ago when he left Gia on the shelf with no explanation why he had to go. Gia Bella and North Newton were an almost dream pairing then poof he was gone and so aloof. He’s back living in the house next door to Gia’s dad , you’d think his ex mate Rocco , Gia’s brother wouldn’t care that he was back , they used to be mates and now they’re not , but why’s he still mad? Now he’s back . When one day he needs to do a good deed , it’s Gia who he calls on , who he needs. You see it’s her dad Mr Bella who has got in a muddle had an upset with fly-tape and boxes in a huddle , and now he’s trapped behind them as they’re boarding him in. That’s where North came in on hearing the din. He realises what he’s missed out on this past ten years and he makes a stance a to do or die you see because he’s thinking No More Mr Chai Guy but the perfect cup of tea. He’s going to end this Gia-less misery and aims to set his heart and her’s free. Back at the coffee loft and Portia serving , doles out his go to drink of Chai no other servings until Gia comes along and urges him to try but is it too much for Mr. Chai Guy even if his complex is no more, he’s a long way to go. And what’s more , Gia is by his side so he’s capable and willing , if a certain dangerous man wouldn’t be so chilling and got out of his head when he’s lying in his bed and leaving him full of apprehension and dread. His top priority is the lady he left behind so a solution and quickly he must find. An ultimate example of JP Sterling’s writing . It’s cute ✔️ it’s exciting ✔️ full of pun fun ✔️ great character traits ✔️ Coffee Loft premise✔️ cosily romantic ✔️ dramatic and frantic✔️ outstanding storytelling ✔️ chemistry ✔️ star footballer ✔️ cheerleading✔️ stuffed animal ✔️ exotic pet✔️ I’m leaving my review in my own words voluntarily .

No More Mr. Chai Guy by J.P. Sterling is a new book in the ongoing cozy romance Coffee Loft series, a series I have come to love, with standalone interconnected books. The only things they have in common is coffee, The Coffee Loft franchise and of course romance.

This new book by J.P. Sterling is the story of Gia, who discovers that her Dad is a hoarder, thus she has to step in to clear some of it. Thankfully she gets help from her high school crush North. In high school they never got a chance, the timing was off, but North is determined to get his chance now. But someone is not happy about it.

From the very first page I loved this book, it is once again filled with the J.P. Sterling humour I have come to love having read some of her other books. Before Gia discovered what her father did, we get a glimpse of before, when both North and Gia were in school. He got her injured (not too bad) and got her a present, an axolotl. Now you just have to read the book to know what this is, as I did.
The building relationship between North and Gia was just lovely and really sweet to read. Both are amazing and very likable characters and I was rooting for them. The one who got in the way is something else, he was just jealous in my view. The writing is flowing and the book is so easy to read, the hours just flew by. I loved the dual POV, one of my favourite writing styles, and J.P. Sterling captured both their characters great.

No More Mr. Chai Guy is a great cute second chance at romance story, with lovely characters, a great humorous writing style and a great asset to an already wonderful series. If you have not read a book in The Coffee Loft series you are missing out on really cute, sweet and cozy romance stories. Each book is a standalone, so you can pick one with a plot you like and start reading. I promise you, you can’t go wrong with reading one of these books.

"I know you like your routines." Her eyebrows spiked to challenge me. "Hanging out with me may mess all those up." "To be honest," I slap on my mischievous smile, "all I ever wanted was you to mess up my life."

The Coffee Loft season 2 is off with a bang, and you're gonna love this story "a latte"!!! You're also gonna love this "brew-tiful" friendship between North and Gia. A second chance romance and brother's best friend/best friend's little sister trope with a little twist, you will not be disappointed in this book!

Gia and North have always had hidden feelings for each other in high school, both too shy to make the move/take the next step but also there is a bit of mystery and intrigue as to what was preventing that from happening as well. North being older graduates high school and eventually does Gia until fate has it 10 years later bringing them back to one another. Who would've thought Gia having a hoarder for a father would allow these two to reconnect again?? :) I love their friendship especially as it evolves in their adulthood. You being rooting for them throughout because you know they really are meant to "bean".

Clean romance, plenty of swoony kisses & romance, chemistry sizzles, with a hint of suspense. Great world building, fun puns, references and even characters from Sterling's first Coffee Loft book - Pardon My French Press. Do yourself a favor and hit the "grounds" running and read this book!!.

This was not your normal run of the mill coffee loft book, as it has a little mystery to it. However, I loved it! It was almost like Friday night lights meets small town dirty deeds.

North was a superstar football player in high school. He has carried a torch for his teammate's sister, Gia, ever since high school. Gia's brother, Rocco, made it very clear that North was to steer clear of his sister. Gia had a huge crush on North, but since he never acknowledged anything between them, she decided he was not interested.

Fast forward a decade and things have changed for all parties. Everything, that is, except for the way Gia and North feel for one another. One of my favorite lines came when Gia sees North for the first time in a long time.. "he looks better than a walking deep fried doughnut". I had to snort laugh a little at this one. You have to love a girl who equates a nice looking man with a tasty pastry.

Both Gia and North are so good. They are wonderful people who care about others. Rocco is a jerk and a snake in the grass. This was a sweet romance between two people who deserved a second chance with one another, especially since they never got the first chance.

This is a quick and easy read to jump start the new Coffee Loft series. The Coffee Loft sounds like such a great place to hang out and enjoy a cup of coffee and hang out with friends. It will also put you in the spirit of the fall season which includes football games.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a first time read for me by this author and I found a lot of positives. The writing was smooth and the plot was engaging. Gia, our MFC, has been in love with the sweet boy next door since she was six years old. Noah, has had a soft spot for Gia as well but Rocco, her brother befriends him first and boundaries are set. While both boys are star high school football players, Noah shies from the attention and really just wants to play and hang with Gia. Unfortunately, Rocco continues his aggressive stance against the two getting together and nothing happens.

It takes 10 years and a family situation before Noah and Gia are reunited. And even then, Noah's lack of confidence regarding Gia's feelings and on-going harassment from Rocco (who is in a position to hurt the current HS football team financially), means nothing moves forward romantically.

This, in my opinion, is where the author stumbled. We knew from his POV that Noah has very strong feelings of attraction for Gia and great anger at Rocco for his behavior. The author kept explaining his inaction as being too nice, not wanting to cause Gia or her father problems, etc. All things that could have been addressed with a confident conversation. Noah, at times, is too nice, too shy almost to the point of being boring.

Still, when he has had enough, that man gets it done! And that's what made it a nice sweet read.

No More Mr. Chai Guy is the first book in the fall collection of The Coffee Loft series. This is a multi-author series, where all books feature a Coffee Loft shop, but can be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.

This was a super cute story! As the story starts, North and Gia are in high school--- him a football player and her the cheerleader. We start to see they have feelings for each other, but he's a bit shy... and then is warned away by her brother--- who happens to be his best friend (and also kind of his rival too, in some ways). Ten years later, the two are brought back together and find that all those old feelings never quite went away... but it seems something (or someone) is still trying to keep them apart. I thought their story was not only really sweet, but also felt like a bit of a unique twist on the brother's best friend trope as the relationships there are... well, complicated! I enjoyed the sweet and easy chemistry between these two and seeing them finally get the chance they got back in high school. It was a short read--- easily read in a sitting or two, but packed full of all the fall vibes with plenty of swoon and family drama.

No More Mr. Chai Guy is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

As a lover of chai lattes, how could I not dive into this sweet romcom?! I read through a few of the books in the first collection (and plan to go back and read the ones I missed!), and knew that I would fall in love with this collection even more because of the fall-themes. Each one can be read as a standalone and provides a clean romance.

The book begins by giving us a glimpse at how North and Gia initially met. Gia is the sister of North’s friend/rival — can we say a little forbidden?! But their age and inexperience result in North being unable to tell Gia how he feels. So when their paths cross again, he decides to finally go after the woman he has never gotten over. Yet, even after a decade, Gia’s brother, Rocco, is unable to let go of the standard/threat he gave North all those years ago.

Both North and Gia have such big hearts and made me root for them from the very start. Especially North and what he does for Gia’s father! Talk about SWOON! There are plenty of moments that made me giggle and a twinge at the heartfelt moments that tested the limits of what these two could go through to find their HEA. This was a quick read, but I felt satisfied in how well everything unfolded and wrapped up by the end. This was a first of the author for me, but I can’t wait to read more of her work, as well as the series!

If you're looking for a book boyfriend, North Newson might be your guy. He is kind, handsome, and literally the boy next door for Gia since they were kids. Plus, he doesn't realize how handsome he is or how much female attention he garners, and he treats Gia with respect. They each have feelings for the other, but something or someone keeps getting in their way.

My favorite thing about this book is North. My second favorite thing is the guaranteed happily ever after. I admit that I read this genre for a foregone conclusion.

Now, my only real critique of the book were the minor punctuation errors or missing words that interrupted the flow of my reading to figure out what the author meant to say. There were a time or two of plot details changed. For example, when North mentioned a day is Sunday, but later that same day with Gia, it's Friday. This is distracting as a reader, but not a critical flaw to a story.

These distractions were countered by writing of lines such as, “There's always a gigantic pull when she is near, like my soul recognizes her presence.”

Definitely a four star book for its quick read and the swoon worthiness of North.

This is truly such a charming story wrapped up in all the fall cozy vibes. It pairs perfectly with your choice of hot beverage, especially a crème brûlée latte, my drink of choice. This is a quick read that I breezed through and was sad to see end.

I actually liked all the earlier parts when they were still in high school the most. Though I was never a cheerleader I was at almost every football game due to being in marching band and drill team, so these scenes were the most nostalgic to me.

North is such a sweetheart! You can tell he has a genuinely good spirit about him. When we go forward in the story and we find out what happened to his career my heart clenched as I have a very similar story, though my accident was in dance and not a particular sport.

This was a cute little read that I was able to sneak in when I had moments here and there throughout the month of September, which officially kicks off the fall season for me. I didn’t have a lot of extra time, so it was easy to pop in and out of this novel and never feel lost.

There’s nothing inherently deep about this story but it’s got a certain charm that is endearing. With lovable, relatable characters amid the perfect fall, cozy vibes it doesn’t get much better than this.

The coffee loft series fall edition is back. If you read the first coffee loft series of books, you will love this one. If you didn’t read them, you are in for a treat. They are all standalone stories with a coffee loft shop as a focal point. Mr. Chai guy Is none other than North Newton. He is a local high school football star but he doesn’t like the taste of coffee so when they all gather at the local coffee shop, you can only guess what his drink preference is. He has had a crush on Gia Bella, the girl next-door for as long as he can remember. But his best friend is Rocco, Gia’s Brother. Rocco in no uncertain terms said leave my sister alone. And as hard as it was for North, he did. But a decade later, he in Rocco have parted ways and Gia comes back into town. Can his wish finally come true?
I thought the story was really sweet. The characters were very likable. Gia‘s father had become a hoarder, and they worked together to help him clean out his house so it was safer. It also gave them a great opportunity to get to know each other again. It is a slow burn, clean, romantic story. I thought it was touching, funny and had some great character building.

OMG!!! JP Sterling brewed up the perfect story. North and Gia Belle were amazing characters. We start with them in high school. North is your average shy boy crushing on a girl. Obviously things happen and then we fast forward to almost a decade later and fate brings them back together thanks to Gia's hoarding dad. Let me tell you that is a fun story! I can't tell you how many times I laughed and swooned in this book. I have some quotes that I will be using from this book because they were just to perfect. I love being back at the Coffee Loft with Portia. She's still brewing up some delicious coffee. Rocco who is Gia's brother is the only character that will make you mad. I was smiling through the whole book. I thought the characters and the story were well written. I thought the story was entertaining and I felt like we got a good happily ever after! I can't recommend this book enough! Please grab a cup of coffee or tea and sit down with this amazing book! You won't be disappointed.

Thank you JP Sterling for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

Having really enjoyed the first series I was excited to find the series was being added too, and I can't honestly say it doesn't disappoint. If this is the start what a great series this is going to be. Gia has always had a crush on the boy next door who is also on the same team as her brother. When nothing comes from it and school ends, she decides it's best to move and try to build a new life. Ten years after graduation and the end to his NFL career North moves back to his hometown to become coach of his old high school team. Even moving into the same house he grew up in. Having given up an chance of anything between him and Gia he would kust enjoy his life the best he can. Sometimes fate has other ideas. This story has everything you want

Boy Next Door ✔️
Cute stuffed animals✔️
Shy Guy ✔️
School Cheerleader ✔️
Annoying Brother ✔️
Coffee ✔️
Chai ✔️
Plenty of chemistry ✔️

Having finished this in one sitting I can't wait to visit the coffee loft again. The characters are adorable and North is the sort of guy you can't help rooting for 💕📖☕️💕

A sweet second chance romance with a twist
This second chance romance starts at the beginning or first time around. You see how things started, developed, and ended the first time as well as the second chance. It has romance, twists, turns, and a brother in an unexpected role. Gia first met North when her family moved in next door to him. She was six and he helped her carry her stuffed animals into her family’s new house. Now she is a junior, North is a senior and he is best friends with her brother Rocco. Their relationship is slow but North is finally showing interest in her when suddenly he stops and begins to avoid her. Now, about ten years later, life delivers them a second chance. But will the same force that drove them apart, all those years ago, still be able to keep them apart or will they, along with Gia’s dad, be able to win? A very enjoyable read I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

This is part of a fun collection of stories revolving around The Coffee Loft, and while reading it, I truly wanted to go out and buy a big mug of my favorite mochas.
In this book, we had fun getting to know Gia and North. We read about their past, how that connected them, and what their true feelings really were.
However, the character I really enjoyed was Gia’s dad. He was so quirky and fun, and he owned a pizza place! But he had a hoarding problem, which is how Gia and North reconnected.
JP Sterling is a relatively new author to me, and I enjoy her writing. Her writing flows smoothly and the dialogues between the characters truly help move the stories along. Often, the dialogues are snarky and fun.
Check out her other books. You just might start to read all her books!
I recommend you pick this book up to read. It is very heartwarming and easy to read.
The publisher gave me this book, but this did not influence my review in any way; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

ARC Review⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yay, the Fall Collection of The Coffee Loft series is almost here!! This is the first release in the series. Every Wednesday a new book drops. My favorite book of the Winter collection was Pardon My French Press by J.P. Sterling and I have a feeling this one will be my favorite too! I had a great time reading about North and Gia who grew up together and the timing never was right. The books flashes back and forth from the past and present. I really enjoyed the football vibes, I love a good romance with some sports intertwined.

I love Sterling’s style of writing. It hooks me right away and keeps me happy and entertained throughout the book. This one even had me intrigued and busting out my detective skills. I always walk away better after reading one of Sterling’s books. This one can best be described as all the sugar and none of the spice.

I loved the tribute to “Your Last First Date” from Portia in the earlier books. It was fun to see some characters make a cameo in this new book!

Oh the puns…
“Chai guy, how are you?”
“I’m still brewing.”
And I look forward to more puns in the rest of the series.

Thank you to the author J.P. Sterling for the advanced electronic copy of the book!

The Coffee Loft series is back, and I am here for it! Gia and North have known each other most of their lives, crushing on each other and never saying anything. Their chemistry is amazing and the hysterical banter is on point. You can’t help but love them both immediately, as well as Gia’s dad. Fast forward about ten years, and they are thrown back together again. Will they get a second chance? Will the villain ruin everything? He’s a great villain, you will love to hate him! The way that Gia and North’s relationship grows is so well done, and let’s not forget the axolotls! I laughed and cried through this whole book, it’s pure joy! The Coffee Loft crew makes their appearance, of course, so you get a glimpse of characters from the first book. You won’t need to read the first one in order to enjoy this one, but definitely go read it anyway! All of the books in the series by all of the authors have Coffee Loft in common, but aren’t connected, each author’s books stand alone.

Welcome back to The Coffee Loft! ☕️

What a wonderful start to a new season of stories in this multi-author collab! 'No More Mr. Chai Guy' is a small town romance where North and Gia get a second chance at their *almost* high school romance. Serendipity brings them back together after ten years when Gia's dad and North's next-door neighbor has an accident. All is not well, though, when the same force that kept them apart in high school reappears and makes threats.

Gia and North... all the adorable feels, Gia's dad provides comedic relief... I don't want to give away the big baddie, but he is pretty bad. 🫣 It's sad when someone could be better than they are and just constantly choose the wrong path. This book strikes all the right balance with sweetness and tension. In my opinion, this is JP's best romcom yet!

I received a complimentary copy of this cozy book to read and review as a part of the Coffee Loft Scream Team. All thoughts contained contained are my own.

This book is one of those stories that you’ll pick up and not want to put down until you’ve finished it.
North has had a crush on his best friend’s sister since he was in high school. Gia has had a crush on her brother’s best friend since high school. But something or someone kept interfering to keep them apart.
Years later, North saves Gia’s dad from a rather strange predicament and Gia comes back into his life. This time, whatever is interfering is going to just have to get over itself, because North knows what he wants, and it’s Gia.
Follow along as these two work together to care for Gia’s dad. Fall in love right along with them. Laugh at their antics. And maybe hope that one day Gia introduces North to the dirty chai so he can keep being Mr Chai Guy while still broadening his horizons.
This sweet romcom is all sugar and no spice. Their kisses are as sweet as chai!
