Love Modern Essentials. It is filled with so much information on oils and their uses. This book is really for those who use doTERRA essential oils. It has general information but it recommends doTERRA oil and oil blends. Newer editions of this book have taken out all references to the doTERRA brand. I use essential almost daily and this book is perfect for my family's needs.

Modern Essentials is the sixth edition by Aroma Tools. It’s the bible of the Essential Oils. Essential Oils are created inside aromatic pants. The substances evaporate and therefore they are easily mixed with oils and fats.

Modern Essentials has a detailed description and uses of all of essential oils in existence as far as the experts are aware of. The book lists all diseases, aches and pains and conditions that each oil can be used as part of the treatment. The book gives the reader important information on methods the oils can be applied to the body. Some oils can be applied topically, while others can be taken in aromatically while other oils can be taken internally.

Meh. There was lots of useful info, but too much that included EO blends from DoTerra (a MLM company). This has actually happened twice now, since I've been researching essential oils. I purposely avoid books that endorse a specific brand, cuz CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

The author or publisher should have to disclose this in an obvious way. When I'm 1/3 through the book and a 'recipe' calls for an oil blend made by one company, I get a bit cranky. Grrr.

I am always referring to this manual in response to which essential oils are good for each problem I am faced. If you use the doTERRA essential oils, then I recommend you purchase this book. Its very informative and a great read.
