I enjoyed this book but kept waiting for something to happen. There was a little twist at the end which was needed. Well written though and a good read .....
Well written and not a bad read per se. It had suspense as to what you thought might be around the corner but that never materialised. Not a particularly satisfying ending which left unanswered questions as to what did happen and what did not. Some of it had me reading between the lines, either correctly or incorrectly I don't know.
Did Gina stalk David or what it the other way around? Did he actually sexually harass her at work or did she make it up? Was Annet actually having an affair with Bailey, or just tempted, or neither? Was Mirina a closet alcoholic? What the hell was the ghost all about!!??
This could have been a great read purely based on an older couple having their first child and how it changes the dynamics of pretty much everything in their lives and makes them revaluate. A lot of the rest is just fluff really which could have been written out.

I read t this to the end in the hope that something would happen, but nothing much did. I liked the style but for me, there was too much minutiae of domestic life. David was a rather dull and weak character. The story of the sacked worker was unconvincing, and how could she be lurking outside the house at night? Why would David visit her house? The father's attack seemed out of place in the book.
