When twelve-year-old Ty Stickford buys a silver-skull encrusted box at an estate sale, he uncovers a riddle tucked away in a hidden compartment. Convinced it’s a clue to the fabled Snetzelberg treasure, he and his best friend, Ricky, set out on a quest to find it. But Kurzoff Snetzelberg, the villainous nephew of the treasure’s owner, has plans of his own and embarks on his own crusade to stop the boys and find the treasure himself.
Enlisting the help of Ty’s know-it-all sister, a scaredy-cat girl from class, a bully and his flunky, they race to uncover the clues before Kurzoff. The ragtag group of kids hope their luck will last as they run through town, staying one step ahead of Kurzoff. But in the end, they will find one thing is finders keepers, losers weepers.
