This story tells how Sebastian and Nathanial met, back in the 1700's or so. Sebastian is human and a thief - Nathanial is a vampire and also in the midst of a heist alongside a sexy female vampire. This definitely falls in the timeline of events back before Bloodknot, so it could be read before it, but the first book in the series gives the background you might need to truly appreciate the characters. For a 70 page novella, there really isn't a lot going on in this story with the exception of sex and two men falling in love. The full length novels are definitely hotter because the author has the time to build up the tension and what not. This doesn't happen here since they all fall into bed pretty much immediately, and the only really explicit scenes are in the beginning...before they've told the truth about the vampirism and thus before Nathanial and Sebastian have really explored their feelings. Sadly there are no scenes of them together while "in love," which is when I really wanted to see them together. I do like the building of trust and the relationship between Nial and Sebastian - and this was a nice little addition to the timeline.

This novella in the Blood Stone series is an intriguing and fascinating look into the two sexy vampires of Blood Knot.

Fighting to preserve life and limb any way he can, Sebastian is prepared to swindle Lady Wandsworth and her thousands of pounds when he meets another roguish charmer, Nathaniel and the pretty but deadly Anne. Sebastian’s life is changed as he is drawn to Nathanial and introduced to imagination-defying ideas and becomes snared in an international swindle involving the Queen of England’s necklace.

This steady paced and smooth flowing plot takes us back in history to give us a look at the beginning of Nathaniel and Sebastian’s relationship. It is brought to life with lots of suspense, romance, strong compelling characters and vivid images that capture the imagination and take the reader back to 1786.

The chemistry between Sebastian and Nathanial starts off as smoldering heat and quickly escalates to red hot and the frequent sex scenes explode of the pages with menage and m/m sex scenes that leave the reader scorched. The author conveys the emotions and passions of the characters with such intensity that the reader can easily relate to the characters and empathize with their motivations.

This is a small glimpse into the beginning of their relationship, but gives the reader such a better understanding of their personalities and history that I found myself more in love with these two sexy vampires than I was before. I found that this adds even more depth and spice to the series and I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend reading this series in order as it has an ongoing conflict, and adding the Blood Drops as they come out.

I received Blood Drops in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I know that this one is supposed to be read after the first book in the series, but really the time line comes before the first book so I decided to throw caution to the wind and read this one first.

Blood Drops or Southampton Swindle was short and sweet. Less than 80 pages short. That makes for a perfect late night read. Don’t let the length fool you though. There was a lot packed into this little novella. Seems like the perfect introduction for these two characters.

I’m not sure which one of these two I liked the most. They were both damaged and Sebastian was close to being broken, but he was also proud. He was also very strong. Strong enough not to be phased more than what he was when he found out the truth about Nathanial. There were twists and turns and more than enough heat to keep things interesting. It definitely peaked my interest enough to continue the series. Good thing I have the first book, Blood Knot, ready and waiting.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This little read was a fun way to fill in the gaps of Nathanial and Sebastian's story. They meet and are instantly aware of the draw they have for one another. Their story is a lot like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, with a lot more sizzle and way more paranormal elements. While I don't usually like historical paranormal romance, I will always make exceptions for this author. I trust that no matter what, it will be a hot and entertaining read.

Sebastian and Nathanial run into each other while running a scam on the same widow. At this point, Nathanial is already a vampire, but Sebastian is still a human running from his past. Through a series of misunderstandings and breaks in "propriety," Sebastian and Nathanial find themselves inexplicably entangled.

I love this series and would eagerly gobble up even more from this world. I can't wait to see what else the author has lined up!

I have read two of three of Tracy Cooper-Posey`s Kiss Across Time series, and while I really like the ideas and concepts of those books, I just wasnt a big fan of them. Of course, I am going to give her another try.

This one I really liked. It had mystery, romance, and of course, my favorite, a vampire! While I didnt like how the unveiling of the vampire went, at least it wasnt awkward.

It was very short, so there isnt very much to say. I wish there had been a touch more passion towards the end, but I am still pleased with how it went and I am just itching to read the rest of the books in the series to see where these guys went.

A warning: this book isnt for the faint of heart.

I received a digital copy of this book off of netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It has not swayed my opinion at all.

After reading Blood Knot and getting all tangled up in Sebastian and Nathanial's lives, it was outstanding seeing the beginning of their relationship. Sure, things got a little rocky there between this book and when they meet Winter, but they started with some quality man-lovin' and I appreciate that.

Frankly, I like the dynamic between these two. Sebastian is so curious and unafraid when Nathanial's secret is revealed. And Nathanial sees something worth getting to know in Sebastian. While things don't always move smoothly for the two of them, they both see what they want and go for it.

A little conning, a few secrets, a woman who is not at all what she seems, and some steamy sexy times. Relationships have started on less.

Blood Drops 1.1 -- part of the Blood Stone Series. Tracy Cooper-Posey
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
Tracy has had readers request the story of Nathanial and Sebastian and how they met. I'm not a fan of shorts but in cases like this where its characters we already know they are perfect. Its the story of how thw two men met, and closes lots of question I had about them. Its a fun read, very set in the 1700's and is a sort of period “who dunnit”
novel. As always tracy pulls out stops so we can't quite work out who's done what, just when I thought I knew what and who was to blame things changed. Of course as its how the two men met there's some hot, sexy love scenes too....A great fill in book, wrapped up in a diverting story.

Informative but still not the whole story. Not sure if it was needed. In the reading order it is listened after Blood Knot but it's about a time before Blood Knot. It wasn't nearly as hot as book one.

I loved reading the story of how Sebastian and Nathaniel met. Sebastian is still human and is quite taken with Nathaniel, though Nathaniel makes the first moves. It's a lovely short read with delicious sexytimes. Yum.

This is a great book. I understand that it is a novella but its just not quite long enough for me. However I would recommend this to any vampire lovers out there!!
