Best Witness: The Mel Mermelstein Affair & the Triumph of Historical Revisionism

Rate this book
Cutting through veritable mountains of misinformation and silence, this is the book that describes the little-known trial of Mel Mermelstein vs. the Institution for Historical Review and Libery Lobby. Working from a six-foot pile of sworn depositions, court filings and trial records, the author confronts the most untouchable issue of our day, the so-called "Holocaust" of six millions Jews by the Nazis. Neither the author, Michael Collins Piper, nor the IHR nor Liberty Lobby "deny the Holocaust". But they know - as do all criminal investigators and millions of murder mystery fans - that the truth is in the details". And to get at the truth of the holocaust, allegedly the greatest crime of history, the details have to be known. The trial of the IHR and Liberty Lobby became the trial of Mel Mermelstein, as the reader will see. The book contains only a fraction of the whole truth about the holocaust but it is important for that reason. As it turned out, Mel Mermelstein, the self-described "best witness" to the holocaust, with the aid of five law firms, the entire press of the world and a Jewish judge, came out a bad loser against two institutions with no Establishment support whatsoever and the hostility of the press. The book will be revelation to most readers and a bitter pill to many who may have forgotten that in America those who debunk sacred cows have rights as well as those who worship them.

Basically this book really ultimately is about greed, free speech and how free we are to talk about the Holocaust. The author of this book Michael Collins Piper does a terrific job slicing through rumor and Truth. The players in this book in particular Mel Mermelstein took it upon himself to sue a revisionist organization call IHR, the Institute for Historical Review. HE won initially but not for the reasons that most people are telling you. Apparently his greed finally caught up to him . And this is what this book is all about, this shows you what the real reason is for him winning initially and how in the ultimate end the IHR really won the battle for free speech.

This is an interesting read and shows the difficulties faced by those who want to set the historical record straight in terms of what really happened to the Jews in World War 2. Zionists in particular have turned the Holocaust into a religion and no rational debate on the topic is tolerated. Unfortunately, in the decades since the book was written, this situation has not improved: more Holocaust Memorials have been constructed around the world and rational debate has been stifled even further.

You think it’s impossible to hate Jews more than you already to, but then you read books like this and you find more reasons to hate them.

The whole Mermelstein Affair from the start was nothing but a plot to try to destroy Holocaust Revisionism, set into motion by the extreme JDL-linked wing of the Jewish power elite using Mermelstein (who started the fight with letters in newspapers attacking the IHR) as their battering ram.
With the help of agent provocateurs inside the IHR, Mermelstein entered an already closed reward offer offering money to everyone who could get evidence that Jews were gassed. Because the IHR did not meet Mermelstein’s artificial deadline for an answer to his “evidence”, he took them to court on account of breach of contract and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress, then before the case even reached the court room, got a judge to declare as “undisputed fact” that Jews were gassed at Auschwitz. Mermelstein then got the IHR, who suffered from a fireboming by the JDL, to settle out of court and pay him $90,000 and a letter of apology for causing “emotional distress” (note that the letter did not declare the holohoax a reality).
This was the so-called 'great defeat' that supposedly proved the ‘truth' of the Holohoax in the mind of HoloCult high priests, a legal fiction gained by Talmudic law practices.
Of course Mermelstein and the Jewish Power would only be happy with the complete death of the IHR and so he sued again, on charges of libel.
But Mermelstein overstepped and thanks to the work of Mark Lane, one of the few good Jews, he lost and suffered a great defeat that to this day, is kept in the memory-hole.
Sadly the IHR was eventually taken over by Mossad and Liberty Lobby was brought down with it as Mike Piper shows in Coup D’etat https://archive.org/details/michael-c... but Historical Revisionism stills lives on in successors like The CODOH
I’m surprised that this excellent book hasn’t been reprinted at all, considering that apart from the Introduction by Mark Lane, it’s not copyrighted at all. Hopefully this is fixed and someone republishes it in the future.
To finish this review, I’ll quote a part from the afterword of the book that made me laugh.

“The American taxpayer-subsidized Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.-liberally a stone’s throw from the grounds of the Washington Memorial and conveniently located next door to the nation’s currency factory, the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing (has anyone checked for a tunnel?)”
