“This is a delightful series. Engaging fun story lines. Lovable characters. Highly recommend”
“I’m so glad you did not just leave the series at book 6. I have become quite invested in Julia, Toby, Dottie, and Penelope’s adventures.”
Julia Ross is ready for a peaceful summer of camping with her dog, Toby, in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina after a spring already filled with one too many murder mysteries.

Unfortunately, Julia's long-anticipated summer of fun takes a terrifying turn when she and her rescue dog, Toby, encounter a mentally unstable woman named Jerry.

Jerry mysteriously disappears into the remote mountain wilderness, and Julia finds menacing threats spray-painted across her campsite, making it clear the troubled woman sees her as an enemy.

With darkness falling and an approaching storm threatening flash floods, Julia and her friends, Dottie and Penelope, have no choice but to launch a desperate search-and-rescue mission for Jerry, following scant clues into the dense, treacherous forest.

As the women plunge deeper into the mountains, they realize Jerry's bizarre behavior hides something darker and more dangerous than mental illness alone. Struggling to outpace the storm and track a woman lost both physically and in her own fevered mind, Julia and her friends find their summer escape transformed into a harrowing fight for survival in the spine-tingling wilderness of the Appalachian highlands.

number nine rules!!

The ninth book in the series is different. For one thing there isn’t a murder. Nada. None . Zilch.
I was getting concerned that people would start talking. Whispers “everywhere she goes someone is murdered” and shaking their heads
This one was not as heavy, light enjoyable. Still unable to put it down.
Next book we can go back to normal, the reprieve was great.same zany partners: all is right in Julia’s world.
