Can love's sweetness prevail even when the magic of Valentine’s Day is under threat?

In the charming town of Mistletoe, Alaska, where Santa's Village brings joy all year round, Rosie Plum, a bubbly and optimistic confectioner, faces her biggest challenge yet. She must keep her beloved candy store afloat during the lean months after Christmas when there are few tourists about. Enter Jack Kringle, a skilled chocolatier whose presence stirs more than just confectionery creativity in Rosie. However, their working styles clash, igniting sparks that are both frustrating and undeniably romantic.

As February’s frost blankets Mistletoe, Rosie, and Jack’s world is further shaken by a determined reporter. She's on a mission to unveil the magical secrets rumored to run in the Kringle family — secrets that, if brought to light, could shatter the Kringles and cast a shadow over the entire town.

As Valentine's Day looms on the horizon, Rosie finds herself not only battling to save her store but also her budding romance, and the town she calls home. Unless Rosie can learn that success isn't just about hard work; it’s about risk, trust, and opening your heart to the unexpected, she will lose everything.

We are transformed back to Mistletoe, Alaska. Sadie and Martin are on their honeymoon. Rosie who is now a partner in the candy shop is in charge. Jack, Martin’s cousin is helping out along with Nora. A sweet clean romance with a reporter who is trying to expose the Kringle family. Loved that Jack took Rosie skating on a remote pond. Love the characters and the story.

Thoughts:
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Another sweet installment to Mistletoe. I loved Nora being included again and it’s sweet that she helps out in Sadie’s shop when she’s needed. Jack and Rosie’s descriptive joy of winter nearly made me fall in love with winter too (despite the stressors it puts on my body) and it's interesting to see a valentines installment to the christmas town and it was cool to hear how they decorated the tree for valentines day, definitely looking forward to hear of more decorations for different holidays in the future. This was a descriptive story with a nosey journalist who needs dealing with and then love happens naturally along the way which I liked as it gave it a real life feel.

Favourite Quote:
“Winter is often perceived as the harshest of seasons, but I find it holds within it an unmatched beauty. And not merely in its visual splendor but in the experiences it offers. It's in the crisp air that rejuvenates the spirit, the joy of seeing one's breath materialize in little puffs of vapor, and the cozy warmth of retreating into a snug space after being out in the cold. Winter's beauty is in the stark contrasts-the bright whiteness of snow against the deep greens of evergreens, the silent, frozen lakes and rivers and the stark, bare branches of deciduous trees creating intricate silhouettes against the winter sky.”

First off, I'm going to say that I very rarely give five stars for a novella. Most of the time, I feel like a novella is either a novel that wasn't fully developed or a short story that was dragged out a bit too long. Fortunately, this novella does not fit into either category. It is such an adorable story. I actually like it more than the first one.

Rosie and Jack are the cutest couple. I knew what was going to happen from the first time they met, and I was seriously rooting for them. I love that Jack doesn't quite fit in with the Kringle family, but he fits in with her.

This is a clean novella. There's no swearing, sexual content, or violence. Mild kissing and some gossipy intimidation tactics are about as bad as things get. After reading this, I am really hoping that there will be more books/novellas in the series.

I got a free ARC from BookSirens, and I left a voluntary review.

Snowflake Sugar is book 2 in the Kringle Cousin Romance Series by Janet Koops. I believe that this story is a sweet romance plus a mystery. Rosie spins sugar art while Jack is a chocolate maker. Together they are trying to bring magic to the town of Mistletoe, Alaska and keep a reporter, Ava, from destroying the Kringle family and town. I so enjoyed this Valentine themed book. Mistletoe is more than just Christmas magic… they saved some magic for Valentine's Day. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

Sweet confections and sweet love💏

What a nice, easy and quick romance, sweet and clean, with a bit of drama and a totally happy ending. It's firmly set in family values, kindness and small town friendliness, with a coating of magical fancy.

Chocolatier Jack, visiting town to help out a Kringle cousin in the lead-up to Valentine's Day, starts out a rolling stone, moving from place to place but eventually realizes the bloom has rubbed off that style of life. And who helps him make the change? It's all pretty clear in this romantic take on the joys of winter. I'd not read any of the author's work prior to this but wouldn't be surprised if more of her novellas are added to my reading list😉.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Rosalind Plum, everyone calls her Rosie lived in Mistletoe, Alaska, a town that celebrated Christmas every day. She is part owner in a Snowflake Sugar Shop where they made unique candies and goodies every day. Her partner Sadie had recently married Martin and they were on their honeymoon. Since their honeymoon was over Valentine's Day, Martin had asked his cousin Jack Kringle, a chocolatier that had trained in Switzerland to come and help Rosie out.
They quickly learned to work together, and she found out his secret. One day Rosie was kind of down and Jack wanted to surprise her while she was gone to the post office, he got busy. He made a sugar creation for the front window with snowflakes and frost looking similar to a place they had gone ice skating the day before. And to make it more realistic he used some of the Kringle magic to add real frost. Little did he know that Rosie had returned thru the back door and seen some of his magic. WOW what a shock! When Jack tried to explain to Rosie was in a total state of denial and did not want to hear what he had to say.
There is also a very nosy reporter in town that is trying to prove there is magic in Mistletoe and the Kringle's hold the key to it all. She had also seen the window and tried to make him admit to having magic.
What now? Will the reporter catch him using magic? Will Rosie hear what he has to say and forgive him? Will either of them admit the attraction they have for each other? Will Jack leave town when his job here is done? All of these answers and many more are in this really fun book. I enjoyed reading it and I know you will too.

In a quaint little town of Mistletoe, Alaska where Christmas is year round, Rosie Plum is busy making her candy. She’s an optimistic and happy young woman who works and is part owner of Snowflake Sugar. When her partner goes on her honeymoon with Martin Kringle, his cousin steps up to help Rosie while they’re away. Jack Kringle is an extraordinary chocolatier. He’s excited but will only be there for a little while. Jack always felt like he didn’t belong in the family business but this is what he was meant to do. As the two work together, Rosie sees that he can help even though they had a difficult start. When a reporter starts to snoop around, Jack realizes he must protect his family’s business of toy makers, the Santa Claus family and Jack’s own magic. The reporter is questioning about their special magic. Will she discover their secret? What will Rosie do when she finds out their secret? Will she believe it? The more time she’s with Jack the more she wonders if he could be her soulmate. The characters are wonderful. This book is a story of magic and love. Awesome read and it’s just so cute and magical. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily

I would like to thank Booksirens and Janet Koops for providing me with an ARC copy of this book. The cover photo is very cute and I really wanted to know the story inside.

'Snowflake Sugar,' the second installment of the Kringle Cousin Romance Series penned by Janet Koops, intertwines the tenderness of romance with the intrigue of a mystery. In the quaint town of Mistletoe, Alaska, Rosie, a master of sugar artistry, and Jack, a virtuoso chocolatier, join forces. Their mission: to infuse the town with enchantment and thwart Ava, a tenacious reporter determined to unravel the Kringle family's legacy and the town's charm. This Valentine's Day-themed narrative captured my heart, proving that Mistletoe's allure isn't confined to Christmas; it harbors enchantment for Valentine's Day as well.

The writing skills of the author are flawless and I was engaged throughout the book without getting bored at all. I had a very cozy time reading it while drinking coffee. I really loved the character of Rosie. I found her to be both bubbly and attentive. It was a short read but I had a great time Reading it. I highly recommend this book. Grab your copy today and you will definitely enjoy reading it as much as I did. It is available for free for Kindle Unlimited members.

This is a novella about a candy store at the small town of Mistletoe, Alaska. Rosie loves working with confections, but she has been feeling stressed after she bought part of the business. As Rosie's business partner Sadie is in her honeymoon, she needs extra help. So, Sadie's husband Martin asked his cousin Jack, who is a chocolatier, to return to Mistletoe to help Rosie. At first they struggle with adapting to the other's way to do things. However, they have to work together to make sure Valentine's Day is wonderful for the candy shop and for the town, but also to hide Jack's family's secret.

What I liked: This is a heartwarming story that mixes detailed descriptions of sweets and the wonders of winter.

What I didn't like: I love the women's fiction books by this author. However, I don't enjoy fantasy, so I was not entertained by this book as much.

(I'd like to thank BookSirens and the author because I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)

The perfect read for Valentine's Day. It was beyond a sweet read, it brought all the mystic and love back to me that Valentine's Day is based upon. This was s fun and whimsical read about the true love of Rosie Plum and Jack Kringle.

While planning Mistletoe's big unveiling they were able to set love and kindness at centerstage and offset Ava Mitchell and her hunt with finding magic in Mistletoe and the Kringle family. Jack and Rosie followed up Nora's idea and bestow a plague to Ava for her Grandpa's many years of kindness and dedication to the Kringle family and then as he carried on life and took with him this kindness and servitude.

The storyline was a good, solid base and adding the unique and lovable characters in Mistletoe along with Jack's and Rosie's journey to finding love in each other put the story over the top.

Janet did it again! She gave us a sweet, magical book with a different take on our holiday characters we love so much. It makes me want to move to this fictional town of Mistletoe, Alaska, where you have the spirit of Christmas all year.

It’s a fun surprise when we find out Jack’s true talent. He’s such a kind hearted person who falls for the quirky Rosie. I love the loyalty she has for her friends. Sometimes, when you read a novella, you don’t get enough time to really invest in the characters, but it’s not the case for this story. You love them right away. I don’t know if it’s because we already know them from the previous book, but regardless of the reason, this book is just a breath of fresh air in a world where everything is in turmoil. I’m excited to see what else she has in store for us in this Amazing town.

This was another amazing book taking place in the town of Mistletoe, Alaska. This story revolves around Rosie, the amazing confectioner at the Snowflake Sugar Shop. She is the sweetest, bubbliest, wonderful person who finds happiness all around her, especially in wintertime. This winter she is struggling under the burden of co-ownership of the store and running it while her best friend is on her honeymoon. But she has help, called in from her bestie's husband in the form of Jack, his cousin. Jack comes across as aloof, slick, a roamer who floats where and when he wants but definitely a strong opinion about what is beneath his caliber of expertise to do. It was fun to watch these two as their personalities clash and slowly start to change and open up. I love how they see the world around them, the beauty in the stark contrasts, and the uniquely individual characteristics of each other. It was a pleasure to watch it blossom and unfold ♥️

Oh my, this is the first book I've read about this wonderful small town called Mistletoe, and I am in love!

Such a feel good, cozy, sweet, christmassy, book, filled with a tiny touch of magic👀

I was a goner for this book, and the characters were just adorable.

Jack and Rosie were two very sweet main characters, and I instantly liked both of them.

Even though Rosie came off as a bit hostile towards Jack in the beginning, I really loved how their friendship and relationship evolved.

The story was unique, and I was a big fan of the candy store and confection aspect of it!

Janet Koops did a great job with this book, and I'm very excited to read more of her work - Especially in the Kringle Cousin Romance series!

How do you get people to come celebrate Valentine's Day in the Christmas town of Mistletoe? Rosie is in charge of the candy store while Sadie and Martin are on their honeymoon. This is a big change for Rosie and she is learning to be a business person as well as the master candy maker.

She gets some help from an unexpected source (Jack) and the sparks fly. They have to contend with a nosy reporter and other problems. Both Rosy and Jack grow with how to do things better. Rosy has an idea that involves the town and the toy factory to showcase Valentine's in Mistletoe. Another cute romance in Mistletoe with some of the same zany characters from the first book.

Snowflake Sugar is another story of the Kringle cousins. Jack Kringle is none other than Jack Frost. But Jack distances himself from family traditions and focuses on being a chocolatier. He comes to town to help Rosie with the candy store for two weeks.

During this time, Jack and Rosie encounter someone who us trying to expose the Kringles, creating a buzz worthy Valentine display….as well as falling in love.

It’s a very sweet story (pardon the pun). And I really enjoyed visiting Mistletoe and its’ residents again.

"[...] let us remember the power of love and friendship."

I received an advance review copy and I am sharing my honest opinion.

What a quick and cozy Christmas read!

This is a short and easy read that keeps us enjoying the town of Mistletoe that we came to love in the first Kringle Cousins Romance series. While this read wasn't as impactful in the emotions department as book one, this was still a sweet read for the holiday season!

The character development and world building don't add much in this novella, but the continuation of this town and story is enjoyable as we continue on in the series.

Enjoy the sweetness of this lovely read!

Snowflake Sugar is a charming, clean, fun romance with a smidgen of magic! I loved my time in Mistletoe, Alaska and was sorry when the book was finished. This is a novella but the characters and story are fully fleshed out. Jack and Rosie have different ideas about how to save the business but they are united against the nosy reporter with an agenda! This well written book is full of small town charm, all things Christmas (even if it is Valentine’s Day), love, laughter and some special frosty magic. I highly recommend this delightful adventure!

This book is like a big cup of hot cocoa while snuggled on the couch. It's that feeling of cozy and warm. There are parts where you have to ignore characters feelings growing/changing faster than you might expect to keep the story moving but overall it's a very enjoyable, quick read. I don't always enjoy novellas as I prefer a deeper/longer connection to the characters but this one was done right. feel good read
Isn´t it annoying that there is always somebody trying to disturb harmony by digging up dirt? Of course Rosie is more than confused what to think about Jack, but when you meet the right person, you are willing to go beyond conventions.

I enjoyed this mild holiday read. It followed the previous book really well since the new set of main characters were preparing for Valentine's Day instead of Christmas. This author does a great job of keeping the reader on edge as they read this slightly magical world.
