Not to write a language course book review on goodreads, but this book was magic for me. what it lacks in aesthetics, it makes up for in clarity and intuitive sequencing. some vocabulary is dated, but it was the perfect companion to learning through conversation with people, and the explanation of grammatical concepts helped me immensely when i was trying to figure out why sentences were structured a certain way or certain words were exceptions. A print update to the design might help certain things be easier to follow (it currently looks like it was typed entirely on typewriter), but overall, a 10/10 as far as language learning manuals go.
