So I just finished Zom-B fugitive by Darren Shah.

Rating: 3.5/5🌟

It is the 11th book in the Zom-B series. So if you guys haven't read the first 10 books then stop reading this coz It might spoil those books for you.

The story starts where the 10th book ended, when B Smith kind of almost killed Mr. Dowling and was now looking for Schlesinger-10, a milky-white substance which could kill all the living human remaining on planet earth.
When she gets the Schlesinger-10, she goes to look for Dr Oystein in the country hall but it has been attacked by the mutant and the zombies. .

Then she finds out some stuff that completely changes the story.

Like I said in my precious reviews, these books are really gruesome. They contain a lot of blood shed and some really creepy illustrations.

This was an amazing read. This is my favourite book of the series. The plot was amazing. B is my favourite character. She is still a sassy character and I love her. I think this book could have been combined with Zom-B Bride as it follows the storyline. However, this book was still one of my favourites. I think the plot twist was amazing. I never expected it. I am sad it will be ending soon. The ending was the saddest ending ever. I wonder how it will all end. I can't wait to read Zom-B: Goddess. Overall, a fantastic read.

I think that this book and its predecessor, Zom-B Bride, could have been combined into one book. They were both very build-up type of books. That being said, this book had two twists that made me jaw LITERALLY drop. And I'm not joking. It was amazing. Can't wait to see how it all ends.

[Spoilers for previous books in the series]

In the penultimate volume of Shan's undead adventure, B goes on the run. Having telepathically found out it's location from her creepy clown husband Mr. Dowling, she grabs the zombie-destroying formula and heads back out into London. But the mutants and babies are after her and with it having been so long since she last saw the Angels, is there anyone left in the city that she can trust?

For the most part this is a fast-paced story which follows B's desperate bid to escape. But along the way there are some big twists as she uncovers some huge revelations which shake up everything she knows. One of those is so powerful it exists as a three-word chapter, which gives an impression just how much of an impact it has.

Despite the brevity, the action and the revelations, B does get some proper time for reflection here. It only feels like 5 minutes since the first book in the series was released but here we are at book 11 and we can see just how much B has changed in that time. It shows Shan's talent that he can give us such a well-rounded book.

I wouldn't say this was the best book in the series so far but it works excellently as a penultimate book. Virtually all the surviving cast of the series make some sort of appearance, there's some great revelations and it sets a big finale. I have no idea how the series will conclude and I really can't wait for the final book!

This book was one of the quickest reads in the series, I read half of it in an hour but it had the biggest revelations! Oh my gosh, Mr Shan, well played, well played! *tips hat* I loved it, I'm feeling so impatient for the last one... next year! D:

I kind of suspected the first thing B finds out about, I was always a little suspicious but I kinda forgot about it and was just enjoying the story and then it kinda came back after Zom-B Mission after Billy was reading those files but then other things distracted us and then I was like "I knew it!" But it still shocked me nonetheless! I just stared in to space for about 5 minutes before continuing and then the end was even more of a twisting shock, I did not see that coming!

I really love Holy Moly in this book, he is so cute! (I know the baby's are genderless but I like to think he's a he ha) He was so sweet and now I want a zombie baby D: loved him.

I loved Barnes too, I started liking him after Zom-B Gladiator, the characters have really developed. I hope there will be a good ending in the last book, which is a given seeing as it's Shan writing but I still don't want it to end! D:
Oh well, this book was one of the best this series :)

So close to the end, and the hits keep coming. I can't see how this is going to resolve itself nicely at this point, and with Shan's track record for endings not being the best, I'm hoping for a satisfying ending for a change with the next volume.

I can't say enough good things about this series. Very sad the end of it is around the corner. I love the twisted shit that comes out of this man's mind! MARRY ME DARREN SHAN ;) I'll definitely miss B when she's gone. :(

These books are getting extremely good now and I can't wait to read the next one! Only now I have to wait 2 weeks for the last book because my library doesn't have it... wonderful. This book was right after the last one with B on the run from Mr. Dowling. B has now found the sirum that can kill all humans in the world and she is about to hand it over to Dr. Oystein when she finds out something awful. What the heck.... how awful! It seems like everyone B gets close to just gets killed in the end and the ending of this book proved that statement with To be honest I almost cried when He was the one to believe her and was planning on sticking next to her for the rest of the time he was alive. I just wonder how the next and final book of this series is going to play out?

It has become almost impossible to review these books without mentioning spoilers from earlier in the series so consider yourselves warned!

The eleventh instalment in the Zom-B series is possibly the most mind-blowing yet. I felt like my brain had melted by the time I had finished Zom-B Fugitive.

When we left B at the end of Zom-B Bride, she had been tortured, rescued, made a deal with Mr Dowling, got married, become the mother to a hoarde of zombie babies and escaped once again, with some incredibly valuable information. I was on the edge of my seat from the get go. B has the opportunity to save the world and she's really not about to waste it! It’s amazing how far B has come from the beginning of the series and I couldn’t help but be really proud of her! She's become a good person and I've come to respect her and the choices she makes, and that’s not something I expected when I first started this series!

I’m not going to spoil anything about Zom-B Fugitive, but I will say that it has what is hands down the biggest plot twist in the entire series, and that’s really saying something. Darren Shan pulled out the big guns with this one and I genuinely found myself putting the book down and muttering to myself in shock. I gobbled in down in one sitting.

The Zom-B series has got better and better as it’s gone on and I can't wait for the final instalment, Zom-B Goddess, though I’ll be very, very sad to see it over.

Short Review: I love this series i really do, but this one felt forced. Yes you get 2 major plot devices but in 171pgs, i wanted more. There was only 1 real action screen. The ending did hurt me a bit. Barnes didn't deserve that at all. I don't know how i didn't see the "twist" in this book. The whole new way she has to eat now, gross.

Misc.

Book Boyfriend: Barnes
Best Friend Material: Becky

This is book 11 and it is best if you read it in order otherwise it will make it confusing. The book is a horror genre. It was really good and interesting. Full of excitement and tension! It is scary at some parts but has a lot of dark humour. The book ended on a cliff hanger just like the other ones. I would recommend this book to teenagers and both genders as if is gory and not suitable for younger ages. It tells you more about what b is going through.

Woah! This book really picked up my interest in the series again! So glad I am continuing. Lots of twists and turns and shocks in this book. I have no clue whom or what to trust right now and I doubt B does either. I still don't see a "good" outcome for this series but it has been quite an adventure. We get to see some characters we haven't seen in awhile and Holy Moly is something else! I was hooked once again on this one. Might be one of the best books of the series!

Why must our favourite heroes have to suffer so much? I don't know but Darren Shan always brings so much adversity and strife to his protagonists, but I'll admit it makes for an excellent time. Just when you think the final battle lines have been drawn and we can look forward to a final showdown, the stakes change, people change sides and I'll have no bloody idea going into the final book in the zom-b series.
I started and finished this book in 24 hours, just unable to put it down. I want to make the series last until the dawning of 2018, much like several other series I have going but who knows if it'll last till the end of December.
Cmon Becky, if anyone can deal with this amount of hardship, I know it's you. Hopefully Darren continues his streak of series ending that we would never have seen coming in a million years because I'm so very keen to see what happens. Im going to miss this series intensely, I've only just begun the series of larten crepsley but I know I'm in for more excellent adventures, and hopefully by then Mr Shan has something new for us.

For the penultimate Zom-B book, Darren Shan went and saved what might very well be the most shocking plot twist this series has yet, and probably will ever have. No, I won't spoil it here, but it's the biggest game-changer by far in this series. Every single word of Chapter 12 - all three of them - will have you doing spit-takes, or losing food from your mouth, or perhaps losing air from your lungs if you're especially unlucky.

You've been warned.

Amazing. This book just... wow. Turned everything we've learned up until now on its head. The most amazing part? It took Mr. Shan only THREE words to do it. You want to know what they are? Go read it ;)

Shan has done it again

The continuing adventures of Becky Smith is riveting. Just when you think all hope is lost, Shan throws in a twist and leaves the reader craving more. I can't wait for the next volume. Enjoy the continuing saga and tell your friends.
