About the author

Rose Alden lives in a rural corner of the UK, where she is knee deep in beautiful countryside! She is often to be found wandering the hills soaking up the surroundings and taking photographs of the local flora and fauna.

Rose has spent many happy hours with her son in pursuits such as looking for badger sets in the woods, watching tadpoles turn into frogs and collecting ants for his ant farm. She loves the natural curiosity that children have about the world around them and believes that it is important to nurture and encourage this wonderful fascination whenever possible.

This book is set out with a picture per page, the corresponding animal’s name and the letter that it begins with from A-Z. A simple, clear formula with fantastic, interesting photographs. My daughter often searches for this book when given the option.
