A mobster seeking redemption. A woman on a mission. A powerful enemy ready to pounce…

When he falls in love with Bianca Lucchesi, Antonio may at last become part of the family, but he’s hiding an ugly secret about her father’s death. Telling Bianca the truth will pit blood against blood and annihilate the family he loves.
Bianca Lucchesi reluctantly agrees to help her brothers ruin Antonio so they can take their rightful place in the organization. As assistant to the don’s wife, Bianca seduces Antonio while pursuing her brothers’ revenge. But her loyalty is divided—she and Antonio share a secret that he’s unaware of. She longs to tell him, but fears he can never forgive what she’s done.
When Bianca and Antonio learn that her brothers have rashly allied with a cunning enemy who is plotting against the Lucchesis, can they heal the family’s wounds before everyone they love is destroyed?

It's finally here! REDEMPTION is the fourth book in the Blood and Honor series. This is Antonio's story. I cried a lot while writing it, and I hope you enjoy it.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. Once again Dana has blown me away. Antonio's story had me riveted from the beginning. What is there not to love of the young orphan boy, who grows up within the mob, Enrico Luchessis guard, now his capo di societa. You're heart truly breaks for Antonio, all he's ever wanted is to be part of a family, to be Don Enricos son. There is so much in this story, including Bianca, the woman that has owned Antonio's heart, even when he didn't realize it. I cried, I laughed, my heart raced with fear and anticipation. Once I started, I couldn't put it down, and that, is a sure bet that I was thoroughly enjoying this read. Start from book one, they are so worth it and there's a lot of history that unfolds and leads us to this story. Plenty of sexy scenes, drama, action, adventure, suspense, blood, love, friendship, just a fantastic read. Highly recommended, wish I could give it more than 5 stars, this is a perfect TEN!

Antonio Legato grew up in the Mafi and has risen up in the organization. He is not proud of all the things he has done. The main one was falling in love with Bianca Lucchesi and allowing her to hurt him. The two come back together in a series of events. Yet both are hiding secrets that could destroy each other. Bianca must get Antonio to fall for her again, so that her brothers can take over the family business, if she doesn't a very precious life will be destroyed.
This series is awesome!!! If this series was ever made into a movie it would put the Godfather to shame! I am always pulled into the lives that Dana creates in her books. Heart beating so fast it is like I am part of the story line!!! If you are looking for fantastic writing style and being pulled into a story this is it!! I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. I WANT TO GIVE IT MORE THAN 5 STARS Patches
I will be completely honest and say that I had very low expectations going into this one. I received a free copy to judge for the Maggie Awards, and so this would not normally be a book I would just pick up. Although I love romance novels, I do not read a lot of romantic suspense, and I definitely would not have picked a story about the mafia. But I surprisingly really enjoyed this book. The writing was much, much better than I had anticipated and although sometimes it was a bit too dramatic, it kept me on the edge of my seat! I will actually go back and read the previous books in the series and continue it!
Dana has done another amazing job writing 'Redemption' book 3 of her "Blood & Honor" series, if you haven't read the first 2 books, I'd advise you to do so. I'm feeling emotionally wrecked after reading 'Redemption' I don't think I've cried so much in any other book.
'Redemption' starts about a week or 2 after 'Retribution' finished & again within the first chapter I was drawn into the book. We learn about Antonio & how he became an orphan, truly saddening... I wanted to jump into the book & take the young hurt boy into my arms. Don't even get me started on the uncle. Then a flame/blast from the past arrives in the form of Don Dominico's daughter, Bianca... who has secrets she has kept from Antonio for the past 6 years, it just goes to show how much power the 'Ndrangheta Mafiso has.
Shit really hits the fan in this book, but Dana weaved a trully heart wrenching story for us, it had me cying nearly all throughout the book. There were plenty of twists & turns again throughout the book that kept me glued to the page & the edge of my seat. I CAN NOT wait for the next book of the series to be released, as I NEED to know what's going to happen next. Hopefully before then I can read the prequel as well. Bring on book 4 Dana, I await it with antici......................... ............................................................................pation!
Redemption (Blood and Honor, #3) by Dana Delamar. Yep I've read all 4 in the series so far. OMG are they good. They good. The prequel has a great storyline, but very PG books 1,2&3 Are HOT adults only. They are a mafia series which is very very good. The charters you fall in love with. There is excitement, drama, everything. This last book wow, it will have you doing the happy cry, and at times taking a break because your doing the ugly cry. I Highly Recommend this series
I will be looking very forward to MORE in this series.
Best mafia series lately read it you will love it as much as I did well written you can't put it down or tallest I could not you will go from one book to another can't wait to start the next one great writer I hope you will enjoy them as much a s I have them keep up the good work I love your books margie
Amazing writer! Dana gives you your moneys worth. I love the length of her stories. Amazing depth of characters as she draws you in to each one. Im not a big fan of Kate, but oh well. Antonio and Bianca's love story was amazing! Superb plots and twists with steamy love scenes makes this one a must read. Excited to read the next book in the series. And I do love Enrico!
Antonio is such a beloved character and I'm glad he got his story, as well as sweet Bianca, I enjoyed her character as well. I like that she was portrayed as a little bit bigger girl. I can't wait to dive into the next book with Ruggero and the judge, I'm sure it will be thrilling.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love this series. Every time I read another installment, I am profoundly grateful that the author submitted a review request to the blog because I may have never discovered it otherwise. Now isn’t that a depressing thought? I also have to commend the author for having the foresight to include the Cast of Characters in the beginning of each book because it has been integral in me keeping the players straight, especially when a few months pass in between books. It usually takes me a couple of chapters to get back into the swing of things, and the Cast of Characters is an invaluable tool to me being able to.
In Redemption, we finally learn more about Antonia, Enrico’s foster son who became the capo of the Luchessi family in the previous novel. Specifically, why Dom hated him so much – and no, I won’t tell you why. I will tell you that it involves Dom’s daughter, Bianca, and a secret romance between them when they were in high school. As Sandro, Dom’s son, tries to discredit Antonio for taking what he sees as his birthright – being Capo – Bianca is strongly encouraged by her brother to use her feminine wiles to obtain sensitive information from Antonio. We learn that Sandro is just as big of a misogynistic pig as his father was, and he has no idea of the history between Antonio and Bianca. Sandro also proves that he is his father’s son in his willingness to manipulate and coerce others (including his siblings) and to make ill-advised alliances to get what he wants. But as Antonio and Bianca spend time together, secrets, lies, and betrayals from the past are revealed, trust is tested, and love begins to bloom again. And because Delamar is an accomplished storyteller who can not only spin a tale but weave it intricately, this all takes place while Lorenzo makes major maneuvers to place himself as the head of all the families of the ‘Ndrangheta. There is so much going on in this installment, I was glued to my Kindle.
As with the previous installments in the series, characters die – some important Family members, some not. I cried for at least one of them and was glad to witness another’s demise. There are no babies born in this installment, but we do have at least one expecting mother and plenty of children afoot – and this is an important aspect that helps balance out the novel. Lorenzo’s machinations are exciting and nerve wracking to witness, and I found myself frustrated by how well he struck out at the Luchessis in such a way that Enrico knew it was him, but was unable to prove it and had no recourse. And these are merely the plots that we know about because by the end of Redemption it’s clear that he has more in the works. Even knowing that Enrico and his allies are on alert, events in this installment have once again resulted in major alliance changes. By the turn of the final page, I found myself wondering who is underestimating whom and dying (not literally) to know who is going to survive, who is going to die, and who is going to come out on top. I cannot wait to read Reckoning.

Redemption (Blood & Honor #3) By: Dana Delamar 5/5 stars
Antonio Legato was orphaned when his family was killed in a car accident. He was in an overcrowded orphanage when Enrico Lucchesi rescued him and took him to the Lucchesi Home for Children, where he flourished. Even though Enrico made him the capo di societa of the cosca, in the eyes of so many, he will always be an “outsider” and a man with no family. This has caused problems for Enrico & Antonio both with Dom Lucchesi’s sons. No one ever knew that Dom had betrayed Enrico; otherwise Enrico would have been required by the mafia laws to kill the entire traitor’s family. So Dom’s sons feel like they were purposely passed over and that they have lost their birthright.
Bianca Lucchesi has just recently returned after having been sent away to boarding school in Switzerland by her father, Dom Lucchesi. She agrees to help her two living brothers take their rightful place within the family. In order to get the information they need from Antonio, Bianca must seduce Antonio, gain his trust and gather information. She wants to help her brothers, but it will cost to her will be emotionally high. Antonio and Bianca had a secret relationship when they were teenagers. She ended it, because her immediate family wouldn’t accept him. But she is hiding an even bigger secret than that from not only Antonio but also, most all of her friends, relatives, & people who know her.
Antonio is hiding the truth behind Bianca’s father’s death because he doesn’t want to lose her, but also because Enrico swore him to silence. Bianca believes that there is something fishy to their story and refuses to let up asking anyone for information. Asking for information and casting suspicions about a death is risky business in their lifestyle.
There are ups and downs for the couple in this book and for some of the side characters. There was one point where I cried the first time I read this book. While re-reading, I knew what was coming, but was still sad about the outcome of that scene.
I absolutely loved this book and have already read book four as well. This is the second time that I’ve read this book and have read the next book as well. I love Dana Delamar’s story telling and attention to detail. Her books are passionate & flawless.
Filled with secrets and lies, betrayal and mistrust, Redemption is at times a heart-wrenching story. Following Antonio and Bianca on their journey of rediscovering each other, but never being quite sure if each can forgive the other for past acts best forgotten, was all consuming for me and I couldn’t pull myself away from the book.
Over the past few years since the introduction of e-readers the market has been flooded with independently/self published works, and for a couple of years these books have been my main source of reading material. Sadly I have begun to accept, as the norm, what on the whole, is substandard published work. Simply written books with unimaginative plots, poor sentence structure, and hundreds of pages that are riddled with misused and misspelled words. Reading this book has made me realise just how short changed I have been by the majority (not all) of the books I have been reading of late.
When reading the Blood and Honor series I forget that this work is not traditionally published. The sequence of events is so intricately weaved and well thought out that it must have been years in the planning to keep straight. The expansive cast each have their part to play with a well formed history to reinforce their value in the script, a script that in my opinion would be worthy of Coppola’s direction. Though ‘mobster’ books are not my genre of choice I did enjoy Jackie Collins’ 1980’s Lucky Santangelo series and would happily group the Blood and Honor series in the same category for its authenticity and attention to detail.
This book is by no means perfect, I was disappointed to find some of those annoying little typo’s in here too, but cannot in my heart of hearts penalise the book by reducing my rating by even half a star. When I compare the quality of the writing, the complexity of the plot and the development of the characters in this series to other books I have awarded 4 or even 4.5 stars to, this one is clearly worthy of a much higher rating than many of them. Not only do I look forward to reading more in the series I am also really excited and can hardly wait.
***DISCLAIMER*** A copy of this novel was provided in exchange for an honest review
This is the novel I was waiting for!!! I bugged, harassed (in the most loving way), prodded, messaged, emailed and generally made a pest of myself for MONTHS until Dana got this novel done; and get it done she did. WOW I was blown out of the water on this one.
You will need tissues while reading this novel, as you will cry your eyes out at times and wonder if Dana cried as her characters told their story through her.
I have been an Antonio fan from the first moment I met him, their was always ‘something’ about him that drew me to him and made me want to read his story and find out why he was the way he was, well, I got my answers in ‘Redemption’. You can easily read this novel on its own and not be lost with what happened in previous novels, although it’s more fun to read the novels in order. (see end of this review for that list) I loathe sitting on reviews and this one was worth sitting on as I have reread it a few times and still fall in love with the characters as Dana’s world of the mafia comes to life and Antonio and Bianca jump off the pages and into your heart.
Bianca and Antonio’s love story is not your typical love story. You fall in love with them and your heart breaks for them and you want them to succeed as much as you are praying that secrets will not drive them apart. Betrayal. Love. Secrets and in the end…… Redemption.
Retribution What a powerful journey. Enrico’s son works for Interpol and is out for revenge against his father. Is dream is to take down the mafia families including his father. He lands in the lap of Enrico’s enemy will he ever make it out alive? After his mother’s death he cannot love anyone. The Russians are coming in and trying to take over. Can the two families stop the dealings behind their back or will shit hit the fan and all-out war start? This series is action packed to the very end. Very well written and plotted and very easy to follow. I have indeed found a new Author.
Antonio has many surprises dropped in his lap; can he handle them and the men out to destroy him? An old love happens back into his life with a life changing secret; can he love and forgive her? Will Enrico allow him to have her if he does? Seems like Antonio is always being passed by when it comes to being Enrico’s son and the one to truly inherit all can that ever change or will the bond Enrico makes with his nephew keep Antonio just on the edge. Loved to hear the story of Antonio. He does have a past that is haunting and painful can he ever get past that and does he even want to. I loved this story as Antonio is just one of those characters you carry to close to your heart. This book is action packed to the very end with love, murder and mafia ties. Great job on this book as well as the others, but this story is my favorite.
Book three in the Blood and honor series. Antonio Legato was taken in by Enrico Lucchesi after being placed in an orphanage. He worked his way up to capo di societa. He was always waiting for Enrico to replace him with actual blood relative. As things heat up between the families, Antonio runs into Bianca Lucchesi again. After taking her virginity at fifteen they were separated by her father and Antonio always felt he wasn't good enough for her. Unknown to him that night resulted in her becoming pregnant and the baby being put up for adoption. As the families start breaking alliance Antonio finds himself falling in love with Bianca and both of them trying to keep their son alive.
In the first two books you get bits and pieces of Antonio's story. Finally in this one you get the whole story. How he came to be put into the orphanage. Bianca was sent to get close to Antonio for her brothers. As she spends time with him the truth comes out that he didn't know about the baby and they find themselves falling in love. The characters in this series have depth and they constantly grow and change. The author put a lot of research into these books. Allowing you to get a good grip on the workings of the mafia.
Kate was spot on this business does suck! How could anyone live that life and be sane. This book made me cry so many times. It was such a beautiful and gripping story. The sacrifices were so cruel and harsh. I loved how we got to read more about Kate and Enrico, even though this was Antonio's and Bianca's story. I found that the sacrifices Antonio had made were not to dissimilar to Enrico's. The ending was perfect, yet the epilogue makes me worry about what may happen next. Looking forward to book 4.
It took a lot for me to get into this book. I haven't read anything else in the series, so at some points I felt left out. True, the author tries to fill everyone in, but there was so much information packed into the beginning of the book, that by the time it got around to the good stuff, I felt like I just watched a Goodfella's marathon. The plot is thick and full of betrayal, lies, and suspense. The romance was ok, but it didn't blow me away. It fell flat for me. Maybe if I started at the beginning of the Series, I would enjoy it more.
I loved this book loved how she based it on some real life mafia families and the regencies and the bank of Italy also the characters were very well thought out and amazing detail in the setting of Italy and the lovely country side
