When it comes to the Corp’s Security guys, I can’t get enough! I was excited to hear that Cage, Melissa and Cohen were getting a novella. I love this little family. Please note- if you haven’t read the first 3 Corps Security books, you shouldn’t read this novella. It is meant to be read AFTER the first three books.

Cage and Melissa didn’t have an easy journey, but all the difficult times were more than worth it. They have their son, Cohen, and Melissa is pregnant with twin girls. Life couldn’t be better. Things are easy, for a while. When something happens that turn’s Cage’s life around again, will he be able to handle it?

Cage is one of my favorite Corps guys. Who am I kidding? I love them all. But Cage will always hold a special place in my heart. After meeting him in Axel, then in Cage, I love him more and more in each book. As much as I love Greg Cage, the person who really stood out to me in this novella- COHEN. I adore that kid. Not only is he cute as can be and hilarious, but he is just too damn sweet. Everytime he said 'my girls', it put the biggest smile on my face. And that epilouge gives me high hopes for his future . I enjoyed the interactions between Cohen and Maddox. Cage and Melissa together were sweet and sexy as always. I love this Beauty and her Beast.

I don’t always love novellas. I feel often that they are too short and I can’t feel that connection to the characters, or something is just missing. I rarely give them 5 star ratings. I can’t not rate this 5 stars. There was nothing I didn’t like. Thank you Harper for giving us a taste of these Corps boys we love so much. It makes the wait for Coop’s book seem not so bad!

Luvd it

I really enjoyed this even though the story again had me in tears again. This author really knows how to get to me. I think I 've cried at everyone of these book in this series. I luvin it so much even though I m a mess after it. God help me by the end of it.

I'd highly recommend this book and series. It's so good. Some of the topics were very really for me but the author wrote about it so well and this made me luv it so much. The way these people pull together when things get bad is brilliant. This series is becoming one of my al time favourites can't wait to read more. I 'll b so gutted when it's over. Everything about it is great I luv the characters so much. The men are so hot and super alpha and the woman are just as brilliant. I can't say enough good things about this series. Xxx

Wow just freakin wow. So this little novella is about the Cage family! Things are looking great for Greg Cage, he married the love of his life, has a awesome son, and twin princesses on the way then everything changes!!!!!!

"Beauty, we're having twins!"

"Melissa, I tell you daily-many times- how much I love you. Knowing that you're my wife, that the perfect little boy asleep down the hall is my son because of you, and these little angels are a gift our love made....those are just some of the things you have given me that makes my life worth living."

 photo uncaged_zpsaecd918f.jpg

"Be strong my little warriors, Daddy loves you."

All I can say is this book had me up and down and freaking out. It was heart warming, sweet. Then when tragedy strikes, this book had me in tears. Wow it was heart wrenching! The ending OMG The epilogue I hope she turns that into a book!!!!! Damn good book! I am on to the next one Cooper.

This starts after the wedding of Cage and Melissa, when she is pregnant with two twin girls. Everything is finally good, but, oh well, life has a way of getting in the way and turning everything around again.

So, basically this book was some crazy mix of cheesy:

description

Lots, lots and lots of sex. (This characters seriously have some unhuman stamina. They’re worse than rabbits and tell the others EVERY details. It’s like old ladies gossiping).
And the amount of sex was even more astonishing considering Melissa had a huge belly from being pregnant with twins and that’s a hard thing to maneuver and well… this was only a short story!
It was too much, and believe me, I never thought of saying something like it!

description

And well, like a good novella, lots of unnecessary drama, just like we love it!

description

Conclusion?
If you loved Greg and Melissa’s story you can’t miss this. It was a nice ending to their story. And the epilogue!! OH THE EPILOGUE!

AMAZING!!!!!!!! Novellas are a hit or miss for me... either it's too long or too rushed... typically they are never enough for me or I am left feeling like I wish I never read that. -BUT- this was just PERFECT in my eyes! I loved every heartfelt, gut wrenching, exciting, second of it. Harper has done it again. For anyone who loved Cage, you will love him even more after reading this! He is a total package (pun intended). It was beautiful! Thank you, so much, for allowing me the chance to read this early. You absolutely made my entire Monday! You're work is nothing short of amazing.
I will end my brief read and review with the words of the great One Direction, Baby you light up my world like nobody else!!!!

Harper delivers again and am honored to have been able to have read this already! You guys are going to LOVE it. If you loved Cage - you will LOVE Uncaged! You won't be able to put it down.
There are some emotional scenes and some REALLLY HOT SEX!!

Cohen is ..... I can't even put my finger on it. lol! He is the highlight of the books IMO! His witty commentary as well as his love shining through for his family is a combination that is !
The epilogue gives us a glimpse into the future and spin off series Harper is working on! I absolutely LOVED it! I am reeling and wanting more!

Its the return of our fav little man. Cohen!

First off, let me say thanks to the amazing Harper Sloan for allowing me to have an ARC. I am more than happy to share my Cage family ride.
So if you're not familiar with the Corps Security series, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, then stop here and go

Melissa and Greg (Beast) are going strong and still having some of the hottest sex on this side of Mother Earth, pregnant belly or not. The love that this couple has for each other especially on Greg's end.

It's like Buttercup & Wesley their love is so strong. (Princess Bride reference)

Cohen is still the source of all the comic relief. But tragedy strikes and we are all forced to take a seat to the unfortunate events that occur to this family. If you've never seen a strong Alpha male love HARD then you need to read this book because Greg does it so well. The devastation, heartache and hopelessness is palpable. He...loves...his...woman [his family].

I cried, I laughed, I sighed - this book took me everywhere and I loved it. And finally, when you don't think you can take it anymore.

And the reader and the Cage family get what they want.

My Review:

Who can take you on a trip of pure emotion?

Harper Sloan.

Who gives you exactly what you need in a book?

Harper Sloan.

Who can write a Novella, a fucking short novella and make you so fucking happy you have goose-bumps all over your body?

Harper Sloan.

Who makes you cry and feel way to fucking much while reading that you have to step away from your iPad because you can't see the words from all the tears?

Harper Sloan.

Who has written the best Novella I have ever read in the history of Novellas?

Harper Sloan.

That is right folks, Harper has written pure gold. This book is 100%, complete and utter brilliance. It has everything you want, everything you need and so much more. You won't be able to put it down. You won't be able to stop. It will leave you gasping for air and screaming and wishing you could strangle Mrs. Sloan. But she always delivers a happy ending (in more ways than one )

I didn't want it to end. That's the worst thing about an amazing novella. There isn't enough of it. But I'm a selfish bitch when it comes to Harper's writing. I never want her books to end. EVER.

It wasn't rushed and it wasn't drawn out. IT WAS PERFECTION. TRIFECTA PERFECTION.

You would think that after 3 amazingly brilliant books that she wouldn't be able to surprise the shit out of me. FUCK THAT SHIT. Harper Sloan will always be able to blow my mind with her words.

I am not sure how she does it. She has created a whole other world for me and I get lost in it every damn time. I love how she can write an amazing Alpha, switch to an amazing strong women and write the cutest damn kid in the world. And lets not forget Maddox Locke. OMG

SWOON ALERT. SWOON ALERT.

Attention all readers. There is a massive swoon alert in progress. You won't know when, you won't see it coming, but when it happens, the swooning will be off the fucking charts. So please, keep the hysteria to a minimum and proceed with caution. To much swooning can result in hyper sex drives, un-planned pregnancy and the possibility of a double AA battery shortage. Make sure to have enough lube on hand and be prepared for a very long night. Don't say we didn't warn you. Also, you may need a box of tissues for the tears, but they are also quite handy for clean up after.

I had a book hangover from a fucking NOVELLA. Someone please explain to me how that happens. It doesn't seem possible. There aren't enough words in a novella to make you so consumed that you can't move on. BUT SHE DID THAT TO ME. I couldn't move on, I was stuck in the corp security office with the gang and I am not complaining.

Who writes the most amazing epilogues of all epilogues ever?

you know it, HARPER SLOAN.

The Corps Security Series is an enjoyable series full of delicious alpha hotness and their delightful leading ladies. Regarding the timeline Uncaged overlaps slightly with Beck (Book 3). This novella spotlights Greg and Melissa and the upcoming birth of their twins.

"When I pictured my future, it was always with the acceptance that I would just be cool Uncle Greg, and maybe if I were lucky, I would find someone compatible enough to spend my life with. I didn’t expect love. I had given up that hope years ago. Then I met Melissa, and everything I could have settled for went flying out the window. Poof— in an instant, I met my future. I crave her. The feelings she gave me and the love I knew would come from her was all that mattered."-Greg

description

When we last saw Greg Cage and Melissa they were settling into a happy life with Melissa's nephew Cohen. Melissa is pregnant with twins and things could not be happier between the Corps Security Bunch. As the men are happily coupling off (apart from Maddox Locke), things seem to be very happy on the home front.

The groups are continuing their family dinners. Cohen continues to comment on Greg and Melissa's inability to keep their hands off of each other. Things are as they should be. This element of friendship is one of the greatest draws to this book series. We all can appreciate the bonds of friendship. We all aspire to have deep and meaningful relationships with people that will stand up and support us in good times and bad. (Sorry if that sounds cheesy but frankly it's true!) This crew will go on vacations together, have children together, bring chicken soup to each other when someone is sick....ok I think you get the picture.

description

Greg is so excited that life is finally sweet for his precious family!

"There are moments in your life when you know that a higher power is at work. That someone is hard at work making sure that all the bad you’ve ever felt in your life is cashed in for something so incredibly perfect it almost doesn’t seem real."-Greg

Then suddenly something goes terribly wrong. There is an incident that rocks Greg's world!

Greg is lost!

"I wondered if having other people in my life was worth the pain if I was going to lose them. It wasn’t until Melissa and Cohen came into my life, that I realized living in fear is almost the same as slowly dying."-Greg

Technically speaking this book was so short that it it jumped very quickly through the events. At times, the transitions felt like being in a stick shift car. There were some choppy and quick gear shift changes. Additionally, I cannot lie, there was a few eye rolls here and there (typical soap opera syndrome....knowing that it is too crazy to be true and yet you just can't tear your eyes away!). But overall, each and every questionable tid bid of text can be forgiven because of these characters. You will love them and want to experience anything you can with them!

Uncaged was an excellent follow up on the story of Greg (The Beast) and Melissa (Beauty). It was a delight spending more time with these two! If you are reading this series, don't overlook this one!

"It hasn’t been the easiest of times, but we’re together, and I’ll take a bumpy road over the alternative any day."-Greg

Uncaged is the story of Cage & Melissa, after the wedding, as they discover they will be parents (not just to the little boy, Cohen, that they consider their own) and then the tragedy that shows them just how precious life is.

This was an absolutely stunning novella that showcased the true magic of love and the strength that it holds. There were so many moments in this book that really created this perfect story that I can’t divulge without giving too much away, so please use caution when clicking on the spoiler links. I can’t help but to get this thoughts out of my head so I have to let them go someplace...

“There are moments in your life when you know that a higher power is at work. That someone is hard at work making sure that all the bad you’ve ever felt in your life is cashed in for something so incredibly perfect it doesn’t’ seem real.”

Greg Cage, melted my panties in Cage, in Uncage he melted my heart completely. But it wasn’t just the sweetness that rolled off of him, it was the humor that allowed his character to be far more than just the sweet alpha male.

And that little boy stole the show. Cohen. I don’t know how a four year old little boy held my attention so much, but he made this story. He gave me the ability to laugh through the tears, oh yeah – there is tears....

“I gotta know! Was I right? Am I going to have a sister? I have to know so I can practice. I gotta protect my sister!”

And Cage... broke my fucking heart.

If I was standing at this moment, I would have fallen to my knees. I think that Harper Sloan has gotten a taste of our tears and is ready to ensure that we keep them coming.
The whole gang was not absent from this either. We even got a moment with Coop that just brought home all of those feelings from Beck. Crazy Sway with his eye-fucking and talk of the Trifecta of vaginal bliss otherwise known as cock flair.
There is no doubt that of all the men, my grabby hands are waiting for Maddox Locke. In each book we get a little taste of this man that just makes you want more. We also learn that Cage isn’t the only one that has earrings in his wiener. We’ve gotten to see the softer side of this damaged man through the eyes of the women and now through the eyes of a child... broken has never looked better on a man than it does on Maddox Locke.
When I started this series with Axel, I wasn’t sold. I am so glad that I continued on with the series because each book just keeps getting better and better.

We love together, we fight together, and most importantly, we're there when one of us hits rock bottom with no hope of getting up again without support.

Greg Cage has everything he has ever wanted in his life, his Beauty his wife, their son Cohen, and they're due to have a new addition to the family or should I say they're expecting Twins.

All's happy in the Cage household.

Until one day Melissa has an accident and everything crumbles around Greg and Greg has to be the man, the father and the protector....

He can't do anything but be there for his family, he can't control the issue but just hang tight and wait.

And obviously this is the hardest and toughest trial he has to go through.

My thoughts

What a lovely enjoyable read for anyone who has read Cages story and anyone who loves this series.

I loved seeing Greg as a father, seeing him just be there for his girls and Daddy to Cohen.

"Melissa, I tell you daily- many times- how much I love you. Knowing that you're my wife, that the perfect little boy asleep down the hall is my son because of you, and these angels are a gift our love made... Those are just some of the things you have given me that makes my life worth living." He pauses, removing his hand from my stomach long enough to lift my chin up. "You never need to thank me for loving you, Melissa. You make it effortless."

Cohen what a gorgeous little man, fighting for his mommy and sisters. I loved him in this and would say what spoke loud and clear was him, his innocence and how I can see him growing up into a big Alpha hero.

HA! Daddy has his wiener rings in! Daddy, your wiener is funny looking with mommy's earrings in there!" He starts dancing around the room, chanting about my goddamn wiener rings.

Looking forward to more Corps Security books in the future and hopefully Cohen's story eventually.

Why ramble about how much I loved this novella when I can just give you a short review in pictures:

After going through a lot of drama, Greg, Melissa and Cohen's life was finally calming down and everything was basically close to perfect. Greg was happier than he's every been being married to Melissa and having such a wonderful son. I swooned over his declarations of love:

 photo tumblr_ljb1zobzo31qdwkzy_zpsfc97cc6c.gif

Then if life couldn't get any better, Greg and Melissa's news that she was having twins made me:

 photo excited_zpsca072db4.gif

But with all the excitement I just knew something bad would happen…….

 photo anxious_zpse2bbc5e8.gif

As I reached for my tissues in anticipation and dread I was heartbroken for Greg's pain as he stood by feeling helpless and unable to do anything to help Melissa.

 photo crying_zps9af97e28.gif

With all the raw emotions floating around I was emotionally drained ready for the good news when it finally came:

Obviously I loved this story. It was short but packed with emotion. Cohen has to be the sweet little boy ever. Greg melted my heart again and again with his endless devotion to Melissa and his family.

Even with all the drama and chaos, Maddox Locke always surprises me and I can't wait for his story.

Uncaged is a short novella that comes right after Beck

Please do not read this book standalone, it a novella meant to be part of the series so please read
1- Axel
2- Cage
3-Beck
3.5- Uncaged
4- Cooper
5- Locke
Uncaged is focused on Greg, Melissa, Cohen and their twin’s girls who are yet to be born BUT we get to see a good amount of ALL the Corps Men and their ladies. Wow, the Cage family in crisis and their family (the brotherhood family) standing by as much as they can. I fall in love more with Cohen. "Beauty, we're having twins!" I loved spending more time with the Cage family!

Harper Sloan.

Who makes you cry and feel way to fucking much while reading that you have to step away from your Reader because you can't see the words from all the tears?
I truly cry the most with this book..... Every time I read Cohen thoughts I wanted to cry even harder

Uncaged (Corps Security #3.5) by Harper Sloan
5 stars

Please do not read this book standalone, it a novella meant to be part of the series so please read you read Axel, Cage and Beck.
It is novella so the review will be shorter but no a reflection of my love of this book, yes it is rare that I love a novella but I loved this one.

Uncaged is a continuation of Cage, as it about the Cage family, I am going to write this review as if those reading it have read the prior three books because without that I can't really write much.

So warning if you have NOT read the series and do not like spoilers stop reading and go pick up books 1-3; then read the review and read Uncaged!

I loved Greg Cage in Cage, his falling in love with Melissa and her nephew Cohen who became their son is that book touched my heart and soul.
This couples bonding over the lost of both of their sisters continued in this book and Ms Sloan amp'ed up the emotion by using Cohen to also remind of that those who pass can still have presence in our lives.

This book has such a range of emotions; from a few pages in Ms Sloan had me laughing as it so felt like stepping into a room with old friends. Yes, Mr Cage and his piercing get teased to no end

As the story progresses the reader put right in the center of the Cage family dealing with Melissa's pregnancy. I adored seeing the sonogram moment, the moment Cohen decided naming is his responsibility (yes I am trying to hide the gender of the newborn) and I feel in love with Greg all over again as he loved his pregnant wife!

Pregnancy is often complicated and the events that lead up to the birth has me gripping my kindle. The emotions Ms Sloan pulled from me were wonderful; I felt for Greg and Cohen. Speaking of little Cohen, I loved this little boy even more in this book.

I loved the third POV in this story; it added to the book and at the end in the layered epilogue left me so excited and hopefully that we will hear this voice again. I really prefer NOT to tell you who this voice it; because it is used to wonderfully in the book and heard at just right moment to pull at your heart!

Yes, in the end you get a happy; a happy I loved a wonderfully layer epilogue.

I am very much looking forward to the rest of this series!
Cooper (Asher Cooper is up next) so looking forward to that… but I would remise if I did not say Uncage made me fall in love with an want even more Locke the story of Maddox Locke; he has a few wonderfully heartfelt scenes in this book, scenes that remind you this man has been thru trauma and that make you truly want to know him inside and out.

I love this series, and I love Greg Cage! Since I met him in book #1, I loved him hard! And this is a fantastic epilogue to his and Melissa’s story.

Now happily married and loving life with their adopted son, Cohen, Greg and Melissa are thrilled when they discover that Melissa is pregnant – and not only pregnant, but pregnant with twin girls! Yep, life is pretty much perfect for the loved-up couple, until something happens that threatens to destroy all that they have found together.

I started this book late at night with the intention of reading a couple of chapters before I went to sleep. Before I knew it, it was 1am and I’d finished the whole thing. It was so intense, I couldn’t put it down! And OMG, the FEEEEEEELS! I love, love, loved the mixed POV that allowed us to see what everybody was feeling. Greg, in particular, broke my heart with all that he was going through. It was so fantastically written!

The mad love that Greg and Melissa have for each other, and their children, is beautiful, and even though the declarations are a little cheesy at times, I was in a constant state of swoon at Greg’s display of love and protection for his family.

From the day I met her, I knew I would fight every day to be the man worthy of her love.

And, of course, the hotness is, once again, off the charts (as is the dirty talk) as these two don’t let a pregnant belly or newborn babies get in the way of their fun!

But I must say that, as a mother of twins myself, a four hour sex-a-thon when there are three month old babies and a hyperactive 5 year old in the house would have been the last thing on my mind! I’m sorry, just… no. When do these people sleep?

As always with books in this series, I loved the interactions with the whole group of characters. I love the way the extended ‘family’ all gather around to be there for Greg and Melissa when they needed them the most. Cohen is adorably sweet and full of hilarious chatter, and the banter between the boys, with the whole conversation about Greg’s piercings made me laugh out loud. But there are also some really sweet moments between them that had me clutching my heart.

“I know you, and I know this wasn’t ever even on your radar. But, brother, this looks good on you”

Of course there is a HEA, and an epilogue which is absolute genius! A surprising but sensational glimpse way into the future.

I loved it – 4 stars.
