This is an excellent read. The reader is engaged and wrapt from Page 1. The author has written a fantasy historical novel which moves easily between the modern world and the world of Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony and Brutus. What is fascinating about this very well researched novel is how the author shows the ancient world through the eyes of a 20th century army medic. This is one of the first fantasy historical novels that I have read and I found it intriguing. It gives historical fiction a different perspective. I am delighted that the story will be continued and I look forward to its publication. This is a masterful novel written by an excellent writer.
