Save Me is a second chance novella about the hot Dr. Eric Tam. If you've read the other Singular Obsession books then you'll know he's the doctor that Calen McLachlan employs.
Calen saves Eric's life and career when Eric becomes addicted to gambling and started drinking heavily. He just lost his job at the hospital and got himself wasted at Calens casino when another guest needs a tracheotomy. Luckily, despite being drunk, Eric performs it perfectly.
This is what brought him to Calens attention. Calen offers him a job to work for him exclusively if he goes to rehab on the condition that he never comes back to Vegas. Eric realizes this is his last chance and takes it, even though it means leaving the love of his life behind.
Eric is ashamed about what he's becomes and doesn't explain to Andie the real reason he leaves. He does try to contact her once he's out of rehab but by that time, Andie won't take his calls. Fast forward two years and Eric gets a call telling him Andie is in trouble.
I love that Eric drops everything, even his promise to Calen about never going back to Vegas just so he can help her. He's still in love with her and he takes advantage of the situation to try to win her back. He'll find that Andie didn't wait around for him and has possibly moved on.
I love this author and everything I've read from her. This sweet novella was good, but it was lacking her usual dominant Alpha. Eric was incredibly sweet and I loved how he pursued Andie the second time around, so despite no caveman antics, I still enjoyed the story. I especially loved the glimpses we got of Trick. The little pieces we get of him in everyone's books are building my anticipation for his his. I hope it comes soon! ARC provided by author.
“I’m going to fuck you hard and often, filling you with my seed. I want to see you get big and round with my baby and then I’m going to fuck you some more knowing I did that to you. And then I’m going to point you out to every man I see and I’m going to tell them, ‘See that gorgeous pregnant woman? She’s mine.’”
"Save Me" is the story of Andie and Eric.
Two years ago, Dr Eric, aka Asian Mc Dreamy broke the waitress Andie's heart and left her to bite the dust. Now, she's being accused of selling drugs, and he re-enters her life to save her. But she has new ambitions, and has just broken up with a cheating boyfriend. She certainly does not need him..or does she?
Honestly, I really have a problem with couples who move on in separation- this time the H was celibate and not the h. Otherwise, this would have been a definite 4 star read.. The H was swoony!
What happened to this author? She used to write great caveman heroes. The H in this story was a total wimp with zero alpha qualities. I hope this author gets back to writing stories similar to her earlier works.
'Save Me' Lucy Leroux is book 4.5 in the "Singular Obsession" series. This is the story of Eric and Andie. I have read the other books in this series but feel you can make this a standalone book. Also know that this book is apart of the 'Coming In Hot' Box Set but now it is released on its own now with this book. This is a second chance at love story for Eric and Andie. Eric's life was gonna from bad to worse and he up and left it about 2 years ago leaving Andie. Eric was hooded on Gambling and Drink and lost his job. When his at his lowest point he is at Calen's Gambling Hall when he needs to save a life. Luckily he does and that changes everything for him. Calen takes him on and helps him to get better. Now after getting his life back he is still missing Andie and did try to make contact when he got out of Rehab but she wouldn't have anything to do with him. When he learns that she is in trouble he goes to help her which opens up old wounds for them. Andie is at her worst and is surprised to see Eric again after he up and left. I love Ms. Leroux writing and this was a nice second chance at love story. Save Me is a novella in Lucy Leroux's Singular Obsession series. I have purchased others in the series and this one is a lovely addition.
I received an ARC from Booksprout of this book, so I won't include spelling/grammar errors in my review as I expect them all to be fixed before publication.
I'm not always a fan of second chance romances, but this one is just so well done! Eric is a very unique hero. He has fought back to overcome his past, yet has a gentle earnestness about him that's very sweet. Andie, the heroine, is smart and spunky. I loved how she validly wanted an explanation from Eric and, while letting go of her hurt was hard, she still dealt with him compassionately. Their interactions felt true to their situation. You also get to catch up with some of the characters from the series which is a nice bonus. Even though it's a shorter story, the drama, romance and the intrigue don't feel short changed at all.
This is a safe read. There is explicit sex and language. While I recommend reading the series, this book is a complete standalone that doesn't require it.
I received an ARC from Booksprout in exchange for my unbiased review.
This is a great little novella with plenty of heat and full of mystery and suspense.
Andie and Eric had a relationship two years ago. Unfortunately, during that time Eric was struggling with demons that were consuming him and in order to save himself he had to leave Andie behind. Now Andie is being held accountable for a crime that points to her and a mutual friend calls Eric back to Vegas to help find out what’s going on.
The previous relationship between Andie and Eric help to build the foundation of this story. Characters from previous books in this series make their appearance and add additional depth as well. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of this author and I love everything she puts out there.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
Dual POV Safety Gang - he is celibate during separation, she has relationship with om Possible triggers -
I love flawed heroes. I especially love the ones that are able to put their life back on track after watching it go up in flames. Eric is one of those types of heroes. After successfully beating back the gambling addiction that lost him his job as a surgeon, he’s prepared to sacrifice everything he’s made of himself when he learns that the love of his life is in trouble. Andie’s had a hard couple of years after Eric dropped out of her life with no explanation, but now she needs to beat potential drug charges if she wants to save the career she’s been training for. I loved seeing the effort Eric was willing to go to in order to prove his love to Andie and to prove her innocence to the authorities. I also liked that he was a little lower on the alpha scale. After all, spice is always hotter when you mix it with a little sweet. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
I loved the way Eric stayed faithful to Andie during the two years they were apart. Leaving her to enter rehab was the hardest thing he ever did, not telling her why he left was the stupidest thing he ever did. Ashamed of his gambling and alcohol addiction he left her without a clue. When Eric discovered that Andie was in trouble, he flew immediately from his Boston Medical business to Vegas to help her. His love and determination to win her back was sweet and romantic. Their intense chemistry heated up the virtual pages of my reader. Andie was a strong female lead yet a bit naive and trusting with her ex and her coworker. Fast paced with action and drama dealing with drugs and crime.

Save Me, is a novella in the Singular Obsession Series & focuses on Dr. Eric Tam. If you have read the other books in this series you will remember him as being employed by Calen McLaughlan. A second chance with his first love in intertwined with mystery & suspense. A perfect addition to this intriguing series. I love that the supporting characters are from the previous books & they also add additional insight into the series.. I cannot wait to read the next book in this fantastic series. I love this authors writing style & although this novella is more on the sweet side than the alpha side I still recommend reading it. I volunteerly reviewed an advanced reading copy of this novella.
It was nice to see Eric get his life together and learn a bit more about him after meeting him earlier in the series. We only knew that he had a gambling problem that caused his life to fall apart when he started losing in Vegas. After years of hard work and rehab he had begun to reclaim his professional life. It took reconnecting with Andie, the love of his life to reclaim the rest of his soul. This steamy, fiery romance is a great next installment in the SO series.
His life has fallen apart because of his gambling and he has reached a new low. When he has the chance to get back on track he takes it never forgetting about his one bright spot. When Eric runs to the rescue he has no idea how it will work out he just wants her back. She thought he had abandoned her. The love that kept them in each others heart is still there after all she is his obsession.
A beautiful story of the love they share. Love seeing Doc get his hea. Great series love the characters more and more.
I really liked this read! Eric has become addicted to gambling and was given a second chance on the condition he leave Las Vegas. Unfortunately, he left his girlfriend behind as well. Now she is in trouble and nothing will stop him from going back to her. Is he too late to when her back? I liked this second chance romance. Great characters and a great story. Looking forward to more in the series.
This was a fast paced short book. The writing was excellent as was the level of character development. Despite the shear number of characters, it was easy to keep who was who separate as well as the role that they played in the storyline. This plot had so many twists that just as you think you know what is happening, everything shifts again. I already have another book in this series ready to go. Happy reading!

Eric and Andie’s second chance was triggered by a precarious situation that Andie found herself in. The intensity of their attraction can be felt on the pages of the book. The plot is engrossing. The mystery is suspenseful. I wasn’t expecting the identity of the ringleader. A minor matter, the resolution of the danger was settled too neatly. All in all, very engrossing story. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
“Save Me” is fast-paced with action and drama yet sweet and romantic. Their intense chemistry between Andie and Eric is electrifying. The fact that Eric is portrayed with major flaws makes his determination to get it together, even more, endearing in his love for Andie. This story will not disappoint and is a wonderful read. I highly recommend this story, especially with our flawed alpha.

This throws you right into the action and it keep on going. This is a great fast paced read that can easily be read as a standalone as there are brief explanations of the past relating to Eric and Andie. This is entertaining has great heat, drama, and chemistry.

Nothing like watching your life fall apart before your eyes and then putting it back together. Andie and Eric have sizzling chemistry and their storyline was intriguing. This has suspense, action, mystery and so much more.

He left to beat one addiction but the other in his life was Andie. When she needs help he will be there for her even though it's been years since they saw each other. The chemistry is still hit, feelings are still there, add in some mystery, intrigue and a litlle danger and it's a great read!
This was a short story within a great series, but it didn't take away from the enjoyment - it only added to it because this is a great series. I loved reading this story with the intense scenes between the main characters. The characters were due a book and I was more than happy to read about them having met them in previous books. Great series. Recommend

I do not have the words to describe just how wonderfully amazing this book truly is. It roped me in at the very beginning and refused to Let go. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Two people fall into an obsessive love, there is addiction, crime, abandonment, life circumstances, and two characters fighting for themselves and each other. This is impossibly good.
