After a harrowing rescue, Theo and Robbie take Kat to Maui to recover, only to be swept into another intrigue. Robbie comes into his own and learns to appreciate who and what he is while Theo comes to terms with his family. But a greater prophecy is at play—one that may draw the couple into things they are not yet ready for.
4.5 stars This book is the 4th in the series and it's definitely not a standalone and you are missing out if you don’t read the series from the beginning. I love Robbie (weresnake) and Theo (technomage) and their journey and how we get to know them more and more for each book. Robbies confidence is growing and he still learns new things about himself and the history of the Nuwa. We are also introduced to the place where Theo grew up, his family and see that there's still things that are unsolved in his past. I love where Theo and Robbie are in their relationship now and how even their spicy moments are so well written that the love between them shines through. They are both bringing out the best in each other and are in the best place after the misunderstanding in the last book. A great book with wonderful carachters and a story I just want more of. I hope that the next book isn't far away!
Robbie and Theo are back in another exciting tale. Recovering from the events of their last harrowing adventure, Robbie, Theo and Kat travel to Maui to rest but find themselves involved in another problem. Theo had been raised on Maui and his father still lived there. When he tracked him down, he found his father had some major changes in his life that he never shared with his son.
Robbie and Theo both face issues. For Robbie, he is learning to stand up for himself and to speak up for not only himself but also Theo. Theo has to deal with unresolved family issues. As their love grows and grows, they are able to handle all the problems that arise and come out stronger, both as individuals and as a couple. The ending is absolutely incredible. Transform will capture you on page one and not release you until the last page has been read. I received a complimentary copy of this book and it was my pleasure to voluntarily leave this review.
More of Robbie the snake shifter and Theo the techno mage as they go to Maui for a break to get away from all of the drama and of course they run into more adventures. These two authors have definitely kept up the tempo of the previous books in this series with lots of adventure and love although this book goes more into Theo’s family than Robbie’s. I have said in reviews of the other volumes that I don’t understand why this series isn’t more popular because it’s marvelous to read if you like mm paranormal romance. They have used some less usual tropes and ideas such as a snake shifter and the way Theo gets into the internet. This time we get a lot about Gods and Maui culture as well as some interesting linking of different cultures. If I sound a bit cryptic it’s because I don’t want to give anything away. High recommendation.
I got a copy of this book from GRR and this is my honest review
While I enjoyed this book I don’t think it was my favorite of the series, it felt a bit more rushed than the others with a lot happening quickly at the end. I would’ve liked a bit more time spent on Robbie and his battle form, the storyline with all of that felt a bit incomplete to me. I’m not sure if there’s another book planned after this one so I spose that could be why.
I really liked having more of Kat around in this book, she’s such a cool character. With her long life and many experiences her stories would be such a rad spinoff!
A wonderful series and I was so glad to come back to it. In this one, both Robbie and Theo go through some major individual character development as Robbie learns more about himself and becomes much more comfortable in his own skin. It is also great to get to see Theo back on his home ground and finding out things about his family. Fortunately, the changes these two go through are successfully absorbed into their relationship and it seems they may need that strong bond going forward as there are hints of things to come.
Robbie and Theo are an interesting couple. I love Theo's abilities as a technomage, and I'm enjoying seeing Robbie grow into his own abilities. These two seem to be a magnet for troubles which keeps me turning the page. I really like that we've seen Robbie and Theo's relationship develop over the series.
This Theo and Robbie story, along with the craziness tgey get into, answered questions and had family good times. I don't know if there are more in store them but this felt like this story arch concluded. Some very sweet moments and all the feels and smexy times. I do wish I had read the Awakening and Rescue. These two books are not in the Theo/Robbie series but the same world and the suggested reading order in the back of the book says to read them before Transform. I never felt lost in the story but there were lots of references to the other books.
This is book four of the series and to me they definitely should be read in order, I have really enjoyed watch them grow individually and also as a couple but it has been especially enjoyable watching Robbie learn about his new abilities and how to control them, this book felt a bit rushed in some parts but still an enjoyable read.
This series has been an absolute joy. I have been entranced since the first book but they just keep getting better and better. I am so, so glad that the series seems to be continuing, it seems like Robbie and Theo relationship is getting deeper and stronger. I am so ready for another book in this series or by the authors. This has been an incredible ride so far!
This is a great series and cannot believe we are at book four already! I have enjoyed watching Robbie learning to manage his new abilities and both him and Theo having overcome so many issues they can finally concentrate on developing their relationship. I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.
This is the fourth in the series and you really need to read all of them to understand everything that is happening. Robbie and Theo's relationship seems to be stronger than ever and in this book we see a bit more of where Theo comes from.
This is not a standalone read, you need to have read what has come before. We get to not only see them grow as individuals, but as a couple. We see where Theo grew up and that he still has unresolved issues from his past. I can't wait for the next book & hope we get it soon.
I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest opinion.
In Transform, the fourth book in the Crossing Nuwa series, the authors (Sean Ian O'Meidhir and Connal Braginsky) continue to put poor Robbie and Theo through the ringer. Sorry, I mean adventures - harrowing adventures. And they had a perfect ending!!!
A rescue has happened and they need time to come to terms with it all as well as needing time to heal. It will bring them to see just what they can do and who they can be? What will happen next? Will they end up in another case? See just what is going to happen
I really enjoyed this installment of the series. Theo and Robbie have both grown so much as the books have gone on and their bond just gets stronger. It is great to see them both maturing and moving past things that happened to them in the past. I look forward to how this all continues.
I have enjoyed the Crossing Nuwa series by Sean Ian O’Meidhir and Connal Braginsky in part because the main characters both have many issues to overcome in order for them to be a functional couple. In Transform we see both Robbie, male nuwa, and Theo, technomage, reach a point where both have dealt with some of their issues. Their return to Maui, site of Theo’s childhood, triggers additional change in both of them. While I’ve focused more on Robbie’s journey because it is so obvious, in some ways Maui triggers more significant resolutions in Theo. I’ve loved the complex world of mages, shifters, and several magic systems in this series. While this book does provide some closure for Robbie and Theo, I do hope it is not the last we will see of this world. There is one major event that may need another book to resolve. l received a free copy of this book from Indigo and am leaving this review voluntarily.
