Mamta Kalia (born 2 November 1940) is an Indian author, teacher, and poet, writing primarily in the Hindi language. She won the Vyas Samman, one of India's richest literary awards, in 2017 for her novel Dukkham Sukkham (Sadness and Happiness)

99 - दौड़ एक लघु उपन्यास है, जिसे बड़ी कहानी भी कह सकते है। यह आधुनिक समय में बुजुर्गों के अकेलेपन के बारे में है और समय के साथ युवकों में बदलाव के बारे में है। बहुत ही संतुलित तरीके से लिखी गयी रचना है। यह बाजारवाद, उपभोक्तावाद और निजी कंपनियों में काम कर रहे परिवार से दूर रह रहे युवकों के बारे में है। कहानी का प्लॉट बहुत ही अच्छा होने के बाबजूद कहानी की शैली ज्यादा अच्छी नहीं लगी। कुल मिला कर ठीक ठाक रचना है।
