Author Darlene Turner brings us the newest in her Crisis Rescue Team books, K-9 Ranch Protection. This book will keep you hooked from start to finish!
Constable Isabelle “Izzy” Tremblay is convinced her father’s death was no accident. She’ll do whatever it takes to find the truth, even if it means being in the crosshairs of a killer.
She hasn’t spoken to her former partner, Austin Murray, in a decade. He’s been training K-9 dogs on his nearby ranch since he left the force. Now he’s going to protect the woman he never got to admit his feelings for.
You’ll want to settle in and see how Izzy and Austin’s story unfolds! As my husband told me, “That must be some good book with all the exclaiming out loud you are doing.” He’s correct, plus it has my favorite, an epilogue!

K-9 Ranch Protection is an exciting book from start to finish. With second chance at love, amnesia, and a killer after them, Izzy and Austin's story is a must-read.

Izzy is sure her father was murdered and her ex, Austin, is trying to help her get to the bottom of things while protecting her.
With assassins after them constantly, this story keeps you turning pages. But the ending!! Totally blew me away!!

Constable Izzy Tremblay finds evidence that her father’s death was murder and in following up on her discovery, she is attacked and loses three hours of her memory. Regardless of her new disability, Izzy remains determined to track down her father’s killer and to stop a drug trafficking ring that is getting more active in her jurisdiction. Unfortunately, the killer knows who she is and repeated threats lead her to take refuge with her former boyfriend Austin Murray, the owner and trainer at a local K-9 ranch. The action is sharp and edgy while the pace is fast-moving. The plot is intriguing and complex enough that it kept me engaged and guessing the entire time. This is a compelling and relevant story that drew me immediately into the action as I was invested in Izzy’s finding the truth as well as the developing attraction between her and Austin. I especially liked getting to know Austin’s well-trained and resourceful dogs. Nèvé, the malamute, was the star of the book with her intuitive sense of impending danger and her loyalty to Austin and Izzy. With the author’s signature style of captivating the reader from beginning to end, this is a must-read, riveting suspense with some delightful romance added.

The author did a wonderful job of sucking me into the story from the first line and keeping me there until the last line. The setting, the characters, the suspense. They all kept me glued to the "pages" of my Kindle :)

I loved the interaction between Izzy and Austin but we can't forget Neve and the other K-9 s. There's just something special about the bond between a dog and handler and that bond quickly grew between Izzy and Neve as well.

The suspense was there from the very beginning to the very end. Just when I thought I had the mystery solved, the author would throw in a curve ball and I was second guessing myself and my theories.

The back story was so well written that I would have never known this was Book #6 in the Crisis Rescue Team series. Although, now, I need to go back and read all 5 of the previous books in the series. I've found a new-to-me author that I love. That is a rare treasure!

I am very excited and thankful to review this book today!

Constable Izzy Tremblay has no doubt that her father was murdered. He did not die of a heart attack! And she is pretty much willing to risk anything to get to the truth. She needs the help of an old friend and someone that she has strong feelings for that she’s been trying to hide. Austin Murray owns a K-9 Ranch. He trains dogs and sends them all over the world to different police departments.
The person that is the head of the drug cartel that her father was trying to uncover. Will do anything to stop Izzy from finding out the truth. She ends up taking refuge at Austin’s Ranch so that he can keep her safe.

I loved every page of this book. It definitely has mystery and intrigue the ending will definitely blow you away as it did me.
I highly recommend this book!

Adrenaline-filled right from the start. A page-turner that brings twists at every turn. Izzy is on a quest for the truth concerning her father’s death while doubting if God cares about her anymore, not knowing she will reunite with Austin, the man she has secretly loved for a decade. A mistake 10 years ago changed the course of Austin’s life, setting his feet on the path to build his K-9 ranch which becomes a refuge for Izzy, the woman he can’t forget. Their journey toward justice uncovers unbelievable secrets, both good and bad, and they learn to trust God with the unknown. Their love slowly unfolds along the way, giving them their HEA, in God’s time.

A K-9 story that is high energy from the start. Izzy Tremblay’s dad died, and she is trying to prove he was murdered. So many people keep telling her it’s an accident, including her family. Bad things start happening though, and she needs the help and protection of her ex-partner, Austin Murray, who now trains K-9s on his family ranch. He and his K-9s try to keep her and her family safe despite her taking chances and risking her life. I love trying to solve crimes along with the characters. I figured out partly who was involved, but not everyone. I was supposed to be working overtime but kept reading until I finished the story. I just had to find out what was going on. I voluntarily read an advance copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you’re a fan of suspense & second chance love ,then you’ll love this book. Police Constable Izzy Tremblay believes her father Justin Tremblay/Chief Constable was murdered while investigating a drug ring (you’ll be surprised to find out who’s actually responsible). Prior to his passing,he had mailed her his journal & a hard drive. Shortly after computers & cell phones are being hacked into & she’s being sent threatening messages. Her Ex partner Austin Murray (both had feelings for each other) steps in after a 10 year absence in her life & takes her to his K-9 ranch to protect her from whoever is stalking her. Izzy studies her fathers journal & cracks the code & realizes that her uncle Ford (father’s younger brother) is deeply involved & if you want to know who the drug Lord nicknamed “Padilla” is,you’ll have to grab a copy when it releases on 9-24-‘24 thank you Darlene Turner for my ARC copy of this amazing book

Once again Darlene Turner has written a “page turner.” It was very hard to put down. I loved Izzy with her almost perfect memory and Austin as he dealt with mistakes from the past and feelings of abandonment. Névé the Alaskan Malamute and the other dogs stole my heart. It was unpredictable in who the main villain was and heart warming as God was shown to be guiding their steps even when they couldn’t see it. This book may be number 6 in the series but stands alone. This author is one of my favorites and if her name is on the cover I snatch up the book every time.

K-9 Protection is Book 6 in the Crisis Rescue Team series. A page-turner with drama, suspense, romance and action-packed from start to finish. An amazing story! Izzy and Austin have a past. They come together to continue the investigation her father started on a drug ring. Izzy knows her father did not die from a heart attack and she needs to find out the truth. All the characters and scenes were well developed, you were there with them. The suspense never ends! The ending was an unexpected surprise. I would recommend this book to all!!

I loved that Izzy pursued her father's murderer, even when she as told it was only a heart attack. She showed so much determination to get to the truth. Even when it got her hurt. Austin and Néve are great sidekicks to have when being pursued. K-9's just really get you as a person and Néve got Izzy and Austin both. With her, they never would have learned the truth. What was the truth? Well you just have to grab a copy of the book for yourself now won't you?

Oh wow!! Ms. Turner grabbed my attention from the very beginning of the story!! When police constable, Izzy Tremblay starts investigating her father's murder she becomes the killers next target!! She takes refuge at her ex partners, Austin Murray's K-9 ranch. I absolutely loved the wonderful characters. This author knows how to make you feel part of the story. I felt their different emotions. I couldn't put down this exciting, intense, heart stopping, roller coaster of a ride in suspense with unexpected twists and turns!! A page Turner for sure!! I was given a complimentary copy. I received this book as an ARC with no expectations of a positive review. I loved this story of police constable Izzy Tremblay, Austin and Neve, an Alaskan malamute. Izzy is certain that her father's death was not a heart attack. She is determined to find the truth. She was told by everyone to drop it. She could not. The stations computers where hacked telling her to stop. Follow the story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a must read for all suspense fans.

K-9 Ranch Protection starts with an exciting suspense that had me rapidly turning pages. But what truly surprised me was the author's ability to create such an emotional, action-packed, yet inspirational read. This surprise factor kept me hooked all throughout the story.

The characters are well-developed, and before the end of the book, I felt like I knew them personally. I admired Izzy's courage and persistence in solving cases. The K-9, Ne'v'e, an Alaskan Malamute, is amazing at what she can do. The countryside and ranch setting came alive as I read. I was mesmerized by the non-stop action, suspense, mystery, and "whodunnit." It kept me guessing to the end. You don't want to miss this one!

Ms. Turner has a wonderful gift for writing suspense stories that always entertain and inspire. This book is a shining example! I love all the books in her Crisis Rescue Team series, but this one--Izzy, Austin and Névé’s story--is my favorite! The skillfully constructed plot, with timely twists, a major revelation, a beautifully sketched British Columbian setting, and tons of action and suspense, kept me captivated and guessing! The characters are richly crafted and easy to connect with. I adore Izzy and Austin individually and as a couple, and the amazing K-9 Névé stole my heart! I love how Izzy and Austin’s long hidden romantic feelings finally have a chance to bloom and thrive despite past hurts and present danger. I greatly appreciate the faith lessons with reminders of God’s perfect plan and timing. I totally enjoyed this book and highly recommend it as a must read for Inspirational Romantic Suspense fans and dog lovers!

This is the sixth book in the Crisis Rescue Team inspirational romance series. It is the first book I have read by this author, but it won’t be the last. Even though it can be read as a standalone, I can’t wait to read the previous five books in the series! I couldn’t put it down because of the fast pace, action, and wanting to know who wants them dead!

Constable Izzy Tremblay is sure that her father’s death was not an accident, so she is pursuing the few leads that she has. An attack leaves her with amnesia, unable to remember the three most important hours of information she needs.
Her ex-partner, Austin Murray, becomes involved in helping her, so she seeks refuge on his K-9 Ranch. With the help of his search and rescue Malamute dog Neve, they continue to seek out the truth while trying not to get killed. They had feelings for each other in the past, but circumstances prevented them from revealing their feelings. Are the feelings still there after ten years, and will they continue to deny them? You need to read this inspirational romantic suspense book to find out because there are some surprises along the way!

# Christian mystery suspense

Second chance romance with a twist.

Sometimes you can't trust everyone.

Izzy won't stop until she finds the truth. No matter what. The danger is high but the truth is what's most important. Finding out the truth about her Father's death.

From the first page to the last, this complex story keeps readers on high alert with action, danger, and emotion . . .

I have read several of this author's Love Inspired Suspense novels. While I enjoyed each of the stories, this book is my favorite.

Police constable Izzy Tremblay is trying to recover from her beloved father's unexpected death. The two were close, and she is having difficulty accepting the fact that her otherwise healthy father died without warning. Her family and co-workers kept telling her it was a cardiac event that killed her beloved father, but she is investigating his death to discover the truth.

When her former partner, Austin Murray, becomes involved in the case, Izzy cannot seem to release the bitter feelings she has for Austin after a tragic incident occurred ten years ago. Austin resigned from the police department and is now the owner of a K-9 ranch where dogs are trained to perform various law enforcement and service jobs.

One of my favorite characters in the story was Austin's well-trained malamute, Névé. This dog connects immediately with Izzy, and becomes her constant companion and protector. I'm continually amazed by the intelligence and physical abilities of these canines. Névé brought energy and an innate desire to help her handlers to all of her appearances in the plot.

Fans of this genre will appreciate the author's deft use of false clues, distractions, dead ends, and a multitude of villains to lead readers on a cat and mouse adventure that is not resolved in full until the very end of the book.

As they work through the evidence in search of answers, Austin and Izzy grow closer as they realize that those personal feelings they felt for each other ten years ago were genuine and that they are still present. The faith thread throughout this story was inspirational and well-written.

I read a lot of books in this genre, and I feel the last half of this book is the best ending to a romantic suspense novel that I've read in a long time. The story is completely clean in language and content.

K-9 Ranch Protection is one of my favorite books by Darlene L. Turner. I truly enjoyed Izzy and Austin's story as they worked together to figure out who had killed her father all while Austin, his ranch hands and the dogs worked to protect her from who had attacked her. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and made it incredibly hard for me to put down and when I did have to put it down I couldn't get back to reading it fast enough because I wanted to find out what happened next. If you're looking for your next good read than you should definitely check out Izzy and Austin's story. I guarantee you won't regret and it just might become a favorite of yours too.

This is a fast paced, action packed read! I really loved the fact that this had some K-9’s that played an important role in this story. Darlene Turner always does a great job writing stories that hook me and keep me reading. I ended up reading this in one sitting. I would recommend this one!

If you like edge of your seat suspense and second chance romance with an inspirational message, you’ll love K-9 Ranch Protection by Darlene L. Turner. It’s exactly the type of book that I love to read, and I loved it!

A secret investigation into her dad’s fatal accident caused by a “heart attack” leads Police Constable Izzy Tremblay right back into her former partner Austin Murray’s life. Austin left the force shortly after he froze during a standoff which caused an officer’s death…and before he could tell Izzy how he felt about her.

Now 10 years later, Izzy finally gets a lead that will answer her questions; the problem is, she’s attacked while meeting with the guy who can help with the lead, and she loses 3 hours of her memory. Since Austin left the force, he’s been training K-9s on a secluded ranch. It’s a safe place for Izzy to stay…and reconnect with Austin.

I loved Izzy and Austin! Turner does an amazing job developing the characters and making their relationship very believable. Izzy’s such a strong, intelligent, determined woman. Though she’s a Christian, since her dad’s death, she’s been angry and doubting God. I think that’s very true of many of us. We think that since we’re Christians, we should be immune from tragedy, but that’s not how life works. Through discussions with Austin and watching him live out his faith, Izzy draws closer to God.

I loved everything about this book! Darlene L. Turner has so much talent in bringing her stories to life. She seamlessly weaves suspense, romance and inspiration to create a beautiful story. I highly recommend K-9 Ranch Protection!
