Despite releasing in 1908 and part of the story being kind of hard to follow at times, this is a really well-written book with a good story.
It's about a count named Romain de Vrie, who shortly after meeting a singer named Destine, finds that he was exiled by the King, but refuses to leave. Things go down because of this and I don't want to spoil much.
