Read these short stories very leasurely. Like with all the "Chicken Soup" books; some stories were heart-warming, some funny, others I didn't really care for. I'm a fan of this series, so I recommend this collection of shorts along with all the rest in the series.

I really like Chicken Soup books and this one has been my favorite so far. There were some really cute stories in here. It's for a romance lover though, and I couldn't read it in a cynical mood.

I have enjoyed the Chicken Soup for the Soul books and have a collection of them. This one however didn't impress me and I thought it wasn't as good as the other ones I've read. It could be that I'm so used to the style of the stories because I've read so many of them that they just don't hold as much novelty as they used to. I also found a lot of the stories repetitive and boring.

I love reading all of the love stories in this book. I know it took me forever to read, that’s because I only read it when I went to appointments. I really enjoy reading the Chicken Soup books. They fill me with love and inspiration.

This book, just like every other Chicken Soup series, I make it days to finish it just to enjoy every story more. The opening story is my favorite, by the way.

A quick and easy read about Christian-compatible relationships and real love. Though very sentimental, the book is worth reading due to the few gems and otherwise enjoyable, insightful, and amusing stories included. "His Love Notes" makes me want to prepare for my own before-death goodbyes, just in case. "Romance" reminds me of how important my husband is just for being there - some people don't even have that. I love "A Space of Her Own" because it makes me smile and I can relate very much to the story's premise. "On Lunch and Love" is great, as is "Valentine."

2018 entry:

This collection doesn't disappoint, although it's not as conventional as expected. The stories aren't only about happy husbands and wives. Some stories are about lost love, obstacles, and other types of relationships. I enjoyed the element of surprise in many of the tales as well as the cute endings. Some of the stories seem like they're written by codependent or abused women, though. The conclusions don't always seem to fit the stories that preclude them. I like the wholesomeness of the stories, though.

Kisah2nya lucu n ada yg romantis juga,
Sayang beberapa tokoh sebelum menulis kisahnya pernah bercerai.

"Kita mendapat teman baru, tetapi tdk pernah melupakan teman lama. Kita pergi ke tempat2 menakjubkan yg blm pernah kita lihat, tetapi msh mempunyai 1 tempat khusus yg disebut Rumah. Kita melihat orang2 berubah, tetapi kita merasa diri kita tetap sama.

-/+ Although the stories were inspiring when I read them, I don't think I'll be able to recall any of the stories later. I usually bookmark my favorite stories/quotes to re-read in the future.
+I love the quotes and cartoons!
+My favorite stories were the ones I could really relate to- the 'Deposit Slip' story about a bank teller and a customer, the 'Gift from Heaven' story about an 'I love you' balloon, 'His Trail of Love Notes' about a husband leaving notes EVERYWHERE for his wife. Really cute!
