Auctioned to the Lumberjacks

Rate this book
When three rugged lumberjacks buy me at auction, I don’t know whether to be grateful or terrified.

So many wrong decisions put me under the control of a dangerous man intent on destroying me.
My only way out is to find a place to hide and survive until I can risk going back for everything that’s been taken from me.

At the underground auction, I’m sold to the highest bidder.

The three men who buy me are huge and rugged, with watchful eyes and powerful bodies capable of tearing trees from their roots. They’re reclusive lumberjacks who take me back to their remote mountain cabin to serve all their needs.

West is ex-military. Fierce and brooding, he keeps to himself, but in the bedroom, he seems to want to break me with pleasure to fix his deep wounds.

Finn is gentle despite his size and brute strength. He’s reluctant to own me, but his need for closeness burns through his restraint.

Jack is ex-law enforcement, and watches me like I’m going to bring trouble to their door. He’s mean and harsh and tests every boundary I have. But his sky-blue eyes crave the connection he seems to fear.

They introduce me to the isolation and beauty of the mountain forest, and I succumb to their dark desires, desperate for the safety they offer.

But even as I submit, I can’t forget what was taken from me, despite the risk to my life if I ever go back.
Confessing the truth to three savage strangers feels impossible.

Have I surrendered to another relationship that will break me, or should I trust the three gruff lumberjacks with my secret and my heart?

"Auctioned to the Lumberjacks" is a standalone romance, and the first book in the popular series, Auctioned.
Note to readers: This book contains darker themes. These lumberjacks are mean and moody -- until they're redeemed by love.

Dnf at chapter 13, around 70% in I think.

The plot progression, as well as the romance was speed light. There was still an unresolved issue of When Jack called Finn a stray dog. All I kept thinking about for the first 50% of this is " I hope Jack rots in hell" despite the author's disclaimer about the story being dark and Jack saying questionable things but honestly I couldn't tolerate the way the fmc was described

Lines like "It’s her job to pour the wine and our job to relax and enjoy." had me retching.

Interesting story line.. didn’t like the fact that they kept describing the FMC “fragile like a baby bird” or “weak as a baby mouse” it was so repetitive on how weak she was and it got annoying. The beginning started off super slow but things escalated rapidly within the last few chapters. It was not a good balance.

A little rushed in places but still a very good read.
Great characters and story that keep your attention, the action starts page one so there’s no waiting to get into it.
Enjoyable read.

The book is good purely for its genre. There's a heroine in trouble. Three lonely men and danger to deal with. Didn't have high expectations for the book so it didn't disappoint. A cute romance with a peppercorn because of the number of men.

This book wasn’t as good as the cowboy version, but it was still really enjoyable a little dark in the beginning, but in the end, it all worked out.

Those muscles!

I like this story but I have liked all Stephanie Brother stories I have read.

All the characters here have trauma they deal with and are able to find a sense of peace and joy at the end.

Please take a chance to read this, but check the triggers first.

Great Book!!!

I really enjoyed reading auctioned To The Lumberjacks(Auctioned Series Book 1)!!! All about Skye who is auctioned off to three, burly lumberjacks for 1year of service in a remote cabin in the woods. West, Finn & Jack all three own a tree business, in a remote location and they need a women to help take care of the cabin, meals and them. So they bought a girl who tugged at Finn’s heart, and eventually broke down all three of theirs, especially when they find out her ex, kept the baby and won’t let her near her. Read, about how the three with the help from their friends, help reunite mother & daughter. Lots,of emotion and plenty of toe curling does occur. Definite Read!!! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!!!!

I enjoyed this story about Skye who found herself in need to auction herself off to raise funds to get her daughter back from her ex-husband who had hidden her from Skye as a way of controlling her. She is terrified that she will never see her daughter again. Then three huge lumberjacks come into her life, there is Jack, who is dark and controlling, then there is West, who is strong, but firm, and finally Finn, who is a kind and caring man, although he looks like a huge man who can hurt somebody.
I loved the way these three men rallied around and helped Skye with the problem of her ex-husband and helping her to get her daughter Hallie back. I like how with Finn, he didn’t care what the other two men said and treated Skye like she was someone special and eventually they also change their mind and how they felt about her. I loved how Jack pulled in some favours and had help in getting Hallie back and safe with her mother. They became one big happy family and had a happily ever after.

I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.

Just couldn't put it down

Everybody has secrets, some darker than others, some where revenge is best served cold. Sky is running from a past that requires money to secure her future. Sold at an auction to three friends. Jack, the dark one who doesn't trust so well, West, who has secrets from his military career and Finn, the lighter of the three but still feeling the effects of his orphaned status years ago. Although darker than what I normally read is was still an enjoyable book. Once you got the back story of the main character, it wasn't in the first few pages like some books, then everything clicked into place. Although there was violence in the book some of the scenes didn't need you imagination to think what was going on or the end result. A good read from the beginning to themed. It dragged you in kicking and screaming but not wanting to miss anything it threw at you.

Who saved who , Goldilocks, or the Three Grizzlies?

Starts on a darker level than Stephanie's usual books. Skye auctions herself for a year and is won by three lumberjacks. Jack is the darkest character. He's not totally on board with Finns idea to buy a woman.
Finn, he's the tenderhearted giant and West who's just horny and closed off. They only wanted a woman for the sole purpose of keeping the house and for sex, no emotional ties. Definitely no drama. Each man had a darkness in their life that had left a stain on their hearts.
Skye had run from her own trauma with the hope of after the one years sacrifice, she could use the money she was bought for and finally put her heart back together.
This touches on the evil that is done to you. Leaves people shattered, and sometimes only a fellow survivor can give you the strength you have to go on.
Love conquers, but not before it takes names and kicks some butts in this book.

I love this book and this writer in general but this offered something a bit different. It is so beautifully written and convincing despite the general notion that we can't have 3 gorgeous men in our lives and get away with it. Some of the scenes were quite graphic, even for me. I love the scenery descriptions and the strong connection between the male characters as well as their commitment to keeping Skye safe.
I have recommended this to some of my book club group and one of them finished the book over a couple of days because she was enjoying it so much. Definitely recommend this book but perhaps be careful if you are easily shocked by rough sex. There is one bit that I had to reread as it was quite a bold idea!! Plenty of loving scenes in there too.
In my opinion, even if you took all the steamy scenes out, this would be a great read!

So much more than I expected!

While I was ready for some sexy book time, this book had way more depth than I ever expected!
I read it all in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down!
The male characters and story details are so well written I swear it was like I was really there!
And the fact that the author provides a Playlist to go with the book was such an awesome bonus as I am a huge music buff and found some new artists I love , and knowing the music she was picturing while writing made it that much more enjoyable!
I was pleasantly whisked away to the woods and trees and into the arms of 3 magnificent men!
I didn't want the book to end and can't wait to read the others in the series!
Stephanie Brother is quickly becoming one of my fave authors
Also, if u haven't read her Biker series I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Dark, steamy, and suspenseful

This RH is absolutely darker than some others from this author, but I certainly enjoyed the twists and turns in this storyline.

Finn, West and Jack have very distinct personalities, and reasons for wanting Skye in their cabin. Little did they know, getting her there was just the beginning of the changes coming.

This is very easy to read, and certainly holds your attention. The emotions swirling within the group and the chemistry between them kept the pages flipping. Lots of sizzle!

The conclusion is exactly what I wanted. This is (possibly) not for everyone's comfort level, but I enjoyed the read. I look forward to reading the next one from this author.

Skye is so strong, but extremely stressed and at her wits end in how to protect her loved one. This auction is her attempt to gain leverage, but she’s obligated herself to 3 huge lumberjacks for a year. Jack, West, and Finn just want some comfort at home and in their beds. They have differing opinions on how to treat this woman, but Skye is a surprise to each of them and to herself.
Stephanie Brother is a one click author for me every time! I love her characters, even the dark ones, because they have personality and potential! Skye more than proves her worth and manages to bring out the tenderness and power that’s within her guys. Jack is the most difficult to win over, but his protective nature is unmatched. I loved the bonus, it’s beyond happy!

Trying to find a way to get money so she can get away from her husband and also find a way to get her daughter back, Skye makes the drastic choice to auction herself off for a year. Enter the winners of the auction, three lumberjacks West, Jack, and Finn. All friends, but very different in their feelings towards the decision to bid on Skye, and initially their opinions of her and how she fits in with them. Through mis-steps and miscommunications, they find the real reason that Skye needed the money and decide to help her. Along the way finding out that their feelings for each other have all changed and grown into more. This one kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know how they were going to save Skye and get her daughter back!

I am new to these Reverse Harem books. I've been a fan of crime and mystery for the most part but someone recommended this book to me as a good way of mixing the forbidden with a bit of darkness which I like. Some of the sex stuff was a bit raunchy for me but I really loved the strong characters and how they all fight for each other to get what they all want...each other and Skye's child...the future is something they could all only dream of considering all of their tricky pasts.
I loved it and am making my husband read it too since he wondered what I was gasping about from the other room!!
As long as he doesn't get any ideas. I am definitely keen to read other books by this author if this book is anything to go by. Loved it.

Excellent! I absolutely loved this book!! Well written and just so good. I loved the characters. Skye was such a strong female to auction herself for a year. She ends up with 3 huge bearded lumberjacks living in a cabin deep in the woods. Finn is the sweetheart. West is the military guy. And Jack is the mean, troubled man. As soon as they get to the cabin West tells Skye she has 10 minutes to get ready for them. He wants to train her right from the beginning. Jack is so cold and nasty. Once the guys find out the reason she auctioned herself everything changes. For the better.
I loved how protective they are of her. They're really great, big teddy bears.
Great job Stephanie. Another great one.

So… I’ve read Stephanie Brothers before and really enjoyed her books. This one however fell a little short. (Almost two stars but it was still well written and had some really good parts so I couldn’t) The author does say up front the book has darker themes then she usually writes but, I feel she did a really good job on that aspect.

The whole book just felt a little rushed. The plot really didn’t make much sense… she was really afraid of her ex because he’s rich, powerful and abusive. But… she’s willing to wait a year to try to get her daughter away from him and thinks she’s going to be able to use money to do that? I just couldn’t wrap my head around why she thought having some money would help and how that was her only option… it distracted me through the whole book.

Skye is running from her past. She decides to auction herself off for a year in order to make some money and secure her future. Jack, West and Finn are content in their secluded life. During the day, they work the forest surrounding them, and by night they each fight the demons of their pasts. Then they decide to purchase a woman to help around the cabin as well as fulfill their dirty desires. The four of them quickly find that keeping boundaries are nearly impossible. Skye’s past quickly threatens their peaceful forest life. The guys find that they are fiercely possessive of Skye. They’ll do whatever it takes to give her the future she wants, and they don’t realize they wanted too.

This was probably one of my favorite books by Stephanie!
I think there were a few darker themes in this book, but it only enhanced the story. I loved every bit of it.
From the bruised and broken characters, the incredible storyline, and all the spice and emotions.
In addition, there was a bit of suspense, drama, steam and more!
I loved Skye. She is a survivor. I was proud of her courage and the lengths she was willing to go for Hallie.
Jack, West, Finn, I loved each man equally. The author does a great job making them stand out and add something unique to the relationship.
I loved it and I adored the ending!!!

Auctioned To The Lumberjacks #1 10/29/2024

Skye needs to get her hands on some money to get her daughter back. So she lets herself be auction off not realizing that now she’s owned by not one man but three. Jack,Finn and West just wants the gentle touch of a woman and someone to help at home. Now that they have bought Skye they all try not to get attached is just business. That doesn’t work all four are broken some how and they start to heal each other. But to get to a better place they have to help Skye get her daughter back. So enjoy this good read and see how they get a HEA!!

Skye (FMC) is forced to take desperate measures by putting herself into an auction. An auction to sell herself off for a year with Lumberjacks - West, Jack and Finn to get the money that she needs to get her daughter back from her abusive Ex-Husband. I didn't have a problem with West and Finn but Jack just grated on me. His attitude just did my head in. I understood why the guys were the way they were and as the book progressed more of their backstories were uncovered. Only half of what Jack did to Skye was unnecessary I thought.

This was a darker read than other books ive read by this writer but it was still a good read.

Absolutely fantastic story! I know the author warned about this book being darker than her usual, and it is, but it's not what I would consider dark dark. More darkish. There was only one part that made me cringe. It was a fascinating story, though. I wanted to stop all of the adulting things so I could read as much as possible. There were several quotes that I truly loved. Here's one from Jack: "Amongst all the darkness in the world, there is innocence and beauty."

I reviewed an ARC copy of this book.

West, Jack and Finn are three burly lumberjacks that live together in the middle of the forest to live away from people and the chaos of city life. Skye is trying to save herself and Hallie. She feels that the only way to do so is by auctioning herself for one year for money. Skye wins the lumberjack lottery and is purchased by West, Finn and Jack who want a woman’s touch in the home and in the bedroom. It’s dark and steamy story for Stephanie Brother, but I liked her edgier reverse harem and look forward to more of them.

Loved it. It took unimanigable strength to do what she did know how it was going to go. She has her problems following her. But so did they have things needing taken care of. Funny how things worked out in many ways in such a good way. Then the way they ended the major problem really surprised me. Very well written and well worth reading. Makes you think about life and how much some are willing to sacrifice for the one they love. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

Skye, Jack, Finn, and West

This is a very good, well written, RH romance with some triggers. Skye runs from her cruel, mafia want to be husband after he takes her baby away from her. She auctions herself for a year to 3 lumberjacks to make some money to try and get her baby back. Jack was a detective betrayed by his partner, West is a veteran, and Finn was orphaned and found by Jack on the street. All were big men but Finn was the largest and the sweetest. Read how they all work together to help Skye get her baby.

Skye is on the run from Carter, her ex-husband. He has destroyed her life and taken away her baby. She gets auctioned off to three burly lumberjacks — West, Finn, and Jack. They want her to be the woman who looks after their home, cooks for them, and sleeps with them. Skye did it because she wants her baby back and needed the money to be able to try. Feels become involved, then she is found by Carter. This book was fabulous, and I had trouble putting it down.

This book made my heart race yet want to cry at the same time. Each character has a traumatic past, their reason for escaping to the woods. Skye has an inner grit that is unwavering and parallels any of the lumberjacks. So watching her 3 men fall for Skye is priceless. Their connection is electric and grows quickly. Each man brings a unique persona but I love Finn the most. Always a softie for the sweetheart. But loved the Jack came around in the end. Definitely worth the read.
