Pages 122
1. The reason why I chose this book was to learn more about Pat Tillman who was he and why was he so great. 2. Non-fiction. 3. Arizona and Afghanistan. 4. Pat Tillman a football player for the Arizona Cardinals and Army Ranger. 5. Biography of himself and events during his time of him at war and the playing field. 6. That everybody in his family fought in wars and he didn’t. 7. In the first two weeks in his military career he gets killed. 8. That Pat was a hero for his country and good kid inside did really well college graduate 3 in half years won many awards and gave up a million dollar contract to serve for his country.
Imagine you got somewhere in life that you worked hard for and all of a sudden you decided to join the army. Ladies and gentlemen that's exactly what Pat Tillman did; he worked and dedicated himself to football. He was always proving people wrong about his height and his speed because a lot of people would doubt him. A future of Fields of honor i would like to talk about is how many people Pat also had on his side and cared for him after he passed. Pat helped out a lot of people no matter who they were he would help you.
The second big future I would talk about is how Pat made the decision to join the army to help out. He also wanted to join to protect his county and he chose the army over money and that really shows you how much he cared about his country and his people. If you like inspiring books and sports books this is both of them together and I recommend this book to sport book readers.
I really liked this book, it starts off with a back story of his life, and then it gets into how he made it to college and how he was able to succeed at a D1 level. He then gets into how he made it to the NFL after not many teams gave him a chance. Finally, it gets into why he left the NFL to join the military. 2 things I really liked about it was hearing about his mindset and how hard he worked, and seeing how many other people left a sport they were making millions in to serve our country. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
As I read this book, I strongly admire Pat's guts in leaving the NFL to signing with the Military. He is a man of his words, and is very inspirational. He never goes down without a fight and is always pushing himself to do more and more.
Pat Tillman had a $3.6 million per year contract with the Arizona Cardinals and went on to making $18,000 a year with the military after being inspired to join because of 9/11. Sadly though, he was killed in a battle in Afghanistan. Before he left, he always rode his bike to the games, he felt nice cars or nice clothes didn't matter in any way. And he was a man who could always learn from his mistakes.
I recommend this book to any type of athlete or soldier. This book is so inspirational and it can help you persuade yourself into becoming the person you always wanted to be. I really liked this book, and it helped me see the world in a completely different way.
This book is about a poor military man who makes it to the NFL. Pat Tillman is the main character in this book. Pat played for the Arizona Cardinals, and his salary was only $18,000 a year.
One of the topics I liked in this book was when Pat Tillman was offered 38 million dollars to go play for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens also made a deal with him that he could be closer to his family and friends. I think this is kind of a dumb deal, because they only want Pat because he is one of the best people in the league.
Another topic that interests me is after pat gets traded to the Ravens, after awhile they don't want him anymore. They used him to do good in that season then they don't want him anymore.
I recommend this book to people who who like reading about sports and a little about the military. This book has a lot of unexpected twist, and it kind of jumps around
I admire Pat Tilman for leaving a lucrative NFL career to defend his (our) country. This was a short book highlighting all the wonderful things friends/relatives/coaches/players/soldiers had to say about knowing him. He was a remarkable man.
I liked it alot! I have the other book written about his death & it was really sad, but this one showed his true personality & how it lead to every choice he made & may God bless his soul for the goodness in his heart:)
THis book is perfect for someone who wants to learn about courage, football, and serving our country. It was a quick read, and I know young men would love it.
I really liked it a lot . I admire how the book went into depth with his personality and his career . It was also a really quick read finished it in like 2 days !
