Jaguar Hunt is book three in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear.

Tammy, who is Maya’s cousin, works for one of the branches of the Jaguar shifter’s own sort of special forces. She is tired of the male agents only wanting to partner up with her for reasons other than work, and for not respecting her ability to do her job, usually better than most of them. So she just prefers to work alone.

 photo tumblr_mals5gi18f1r93y4eo1_500_zps3761df74.gif

David, Wade’s brother, is also a member of the special forces. Both he and Tammy are jaguar shifters. And David has been assigned to help Tammy to locate a missing Jaguar from a zoo.

There is also a pair of somewhat mischievous teen boys that somehow seem involved with all of this. David and Tammy need to find the boys to see just what they know and how they are involved. Their pursuit takes them back to the beautiful jungles of Belize. But how can the beautiful natural habitat for their kind not help the bloom of romance? As much as Tammy wants to keep this strictly business, David is pretty hard to resist.

But there is more to this case than just a missing jaguar and some trouble making teens. It seems there might be a traitor amongst them. And more than once Tammy’s life is endangered. David is doing his best to protect Tammy but things just aren’t adding up.

 photo jungle_zpse3a3f01d.jpg

Once again Terry Spear takes us from the concrete jungles of home to the wild jungles of Belize. There is plenty of danger and she keeps us in suspense until the last minute trying to figure out who are the good guys and who are the bad guys. And of course, there is plenty of steamy shifter sexiness.

I was disappointed, though, that the book centered completely on David and Tammy. I missed Wade and Maya and Connor and Kat from the first two books. I did enjoy the way David slowly wore down Tammy’s defenses and built up her trust for him. He knows they are better together as a team. He just has to convince her of that as well. Thanks to Terry Spear, Sourcebooks Cassablanca and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Initial Thoughts: 3.5-4.0 stars. The thing I love most about Terry Spear's books is that each book can be read as a stand alone book. You can jump into this series at this book or read them in order, it really doesn't matter. And jaguar shifters - how cool is that? Enjoyed the story, loved the couple, and adored the setting. How can you go wrong with a beautiful jungle resort in Belize?

The Review:
Terry Spear writes wonderful shifter stories. Jaguar Hunt is the latest book in her shifters series Heart of the Jaguar. Jaguar Hunt focuses on David Patterson of the Special Forces Golden Claw JAG and his love interest Tammy Anderson who also works for the jaguar shifters as an enforcer. Tammy prefers to work alone, however the two are assigned to find a missing jaguar and their hunt takes them to the jungles of Belize.

I loved David and Tammy. Tammy is fiercely independent and is known for ditching her partners. Tammy has been burned by a bad relationship. I enjoyed watching these two warm up to each other. As Tammy's life is threatened, David becomes more and more protective of her. The two realize that they need to work together in order to find the missing jaguar.

The addition of the two mysterious shifter teens added some much needed humor to the hunt. Those boys were mischievous, stealing little things and leaving a trail of condoms for David and Tammy to follow.

The world building is extensive and detailed. I had to chuckle at the name of the shifter night club in Dallas: Clawed and Dangerous Kitty Cat Club. I also liked how characters from the previous books appeared for cameo roles. There's also a bit of series crossover with Ms. Spear's Heart of the Wolf series as well.

The resort in Belize sounds stunning. I can only imagine how gorgeous it must be.

One of the great things about this series is that each book can be read as a stand alone book. You can pretty much jump into the series without missing anything, you can even read the books out of order. I do believe that once you've read a book by Ms. Spear, you will want to read the rest of the series.

Overall, a fun read. Can't wait to read more by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for a review copy of this book.

***This book was provided by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.***

I have to say that I loved the idea behind this book--two agents with sparks (lusty and hateful) forced to work together on a case? In the jungle? Ummm...yes, please!

It all starts when the hero is tossed into jail and the heroine has to bail him out before they even meet. This only reinforces Tammy's determination to work alone, so she ditches David the first chance she gets.

I really liked Tammy. She was fierce and independent, but not to the point that she was hard-headed. She knew when she needed help, and wasn't afraid to take it.

He was such a rogue jaguar. And damn if he didn't charm her on some level.

David was a likable character, too. He had a nice back story, and the relationship with his brother really told us a lot about him.

I really enjoyed the scenes in this one where they were in animal form. I liked that their relationship evolved not only while they were human, but when they'd shifted into jaguars, as well. I think it added a bit of depth to the story.

Unfortunately, this one just fell a bit flat for me. I thought Tammy was worn down too quickly by David, and once David fell for Tammy, his character changed a bit. His dialogue became to sugary-sweet, and there were times when it felt like he lost his focus on the mission at the expense of lusting after his partner.

I liked the action scenes in this one, but I think it needed some more to amp up the pacing of the book.

Overall, this one was a miss for me. I may give this author a try in the future, because I do like the way the book started off. I just think it could have used more plot development.

This is pretty average- I liked it, but have a couple complaints. I do like David and Tammy as a couple, they're very solid. A good team, both as a romantic couple and as work partners. I think David does a lot better than some of the other male leads in some of Spear's books, in that he seems to have a great deal more respect for her as a competent and capable Enforcer, and isn't constantly trying to hide her in that possessive way that gets a little annoying in these sometimes. Except- that in the last quarter of the book or so, that gets undermined by both his dad and her dad kind of encouraging him to ignore her wishes in a somewhat emotionally manipulative way. And the weird sudden shoehorn of them just absolutely having to get married right away. Like- there's no reason not to have an epilogue set some months later with a wedding, if you want one. Rather than forcing it to happen immediately, when it hasn't come up much as part of the plot- like it does in some of the other books. This is the first of the jaguar shifter books I've read, and it felt a little like Spear really wanted to have that fated mates or one time s*x means mated for life thing that seems to be the case with the wolf shifters.

I think the setting in Belize is fun, I kind of like the politics between the JAG agents and Enforcers, and want to know more about how shifter politics works between different kinds of shifters. We know this is set in the same universe as her other shifter books, and this one also has a close tie in with characters from another of her books I've read, just not other shifters. It was a fun, very fast read. Lots of action, mildly steamy scenes, and it was easy to read.

Originally reviewed for Bodice Rippers, Femme Fatales and Fantasy.

Corruption, greed, avarice, betrayal, family connections and the desire to right them all ruse to the forefront of Terry Spear's newest Jaguar Series book. And I must say it's the best one yet. It's the cats so yes there is a smouldering sensuality that works it's way effortlessly into the story but there is so much more.

Agent Tammy Anderson has had it with the males of her species. Constantly treating her as an inept female. One who shouldn't be part if any enforcement team. And yet she has earned a reputation of ditching her partners and solving the case on her own. Using the skills and hunches that they had demeaned. So when once again a partner was foisted off on her, Tammy tries to ditch him. Only David Patterson is sticking.

David Patterson serves as a top level agent for their Jaguar-shifter species. When he discovers that his case to find and return a missing jaguar connects with Tammy Anderson's case to find a couple of missing teens, he requests to be teamed with her. Then promptly gets himself thrown in jail. Leaving Tammy to bail him out and making a darned good first impression.

Tammy and David's search leads them into the jungle of Belize where they are forced to work as a team and live as a couple. Finding the missing teens is going to be child's play compared to dealing with the chemistry between the two of them. And finding the missing teens is anything but easy. Of course teen boys are teen boys no matter the species and these two are rather creative in their desire to stay lost. Before they make contact they want to be sure that Tammy and David are clean.

It would seem do simple but all sorts of shifters are showing up and neither the teens nor David and Tammy know who to trust. When Tammy's life is at risk the four form a tentative partnership but even then, the trust comes slowly.

The tryst factor remains an issue throughout the entire book and believe me when I say, I wasn't sure who to believe until the very end. Well done.

A great book. I feel that with each Jaguar shifter book, I fall more and more in love. Often I find myself comparing Ms. Spear's jaguars to Christine Feehan's. There are marked similarities BUT there are huge differences. Ms. Spear's manages to keep her cats playful even in the most heated of situations. Which is perfect after all, they are cats.

My advise? Check out this book, it reads well as a stand alone, BUT I suggest you read the series, in order. Now there's a shocker *grins*

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle:
*Copy gifted in exchange for an honest review

Jaguar Hunt is the 3rd book in the HEART OF THE JAGUAR series and may have been my favorite so far. It was a highly entertaining read with lovable characters, plenty of intrigue, a nice paced plot, and a great ending. While these books are all part of the series, they stand perfectly well on their own and do not need to be read in order.

David, the slightly rakish, yet stalwart brother of the hero of book #2, is trying to track down two teenage cat shifters that the agency wants to recruit. His investigation overlaps with another - the search for a missing jaguar from the Oregon zoo that the Enforcers are trying to solve. In an attempt to solve both mysteries as quickly and efficiently as possible, there's an inter-agency pairing between David and Tammy (who just happens to be the cousin of the heroine from book #2, Maya).

Tammy is a super fun heroine. She's super independent, sassy, and highly capable. She's amazing at her job as Enforcer, and doesn't particularly like working with others. In fact, she has a history of completely ditching her assigned partners and solving the crimes herself in record time.

David is one of the best special forces agents JAG has, but he also has a very carefree side, so when David scores the partnership of a lifetime and gets to pair with the sexy and sassy Tammy in hot and romantic Belize, sparks fly and things get veeeery interesting.

I loved the mystery in Jaguar Hunt. The subterfuge, overlapping history and storylines, and the snippets from the character's pasts that made the story so much deeper and more intriguing.

One of the best things about Jaguar Hunt, outside of the entertainment, mystery, and romance, were the supporting characters. I absolutely LOVED the twins, and I cannot wait to read their own books/novellas and find out more about them as the series progresses!

I would definitely recommend Jaguar Hunt for all paranormal romance fans, especially fans of Terry Spear and the series thus far.

So I have to agree with my original impression of this book. I didn’t like it. The writing was good, but the story was fairly bland, and the characters weren’t very likable. I didn’t hate them, but I felt completely ambivalent about them. It didn’t matter to me if the “bad guy” killed one of them, or they didn’t save the two boys, or if they even got together in the end. Considering this is a romance novel, I should be rooting for the two main characters to finally get together, but the whole thing was anti-climatic. Even the sex seemed rather bland.

I wanted to like the characters, and the story because the summery sounded exciting. Two shifter secret agents, that's exciting! But certainly not in the way that Terry Spear wrote this book in the series. Everything was very predictable, but it felt jumpy. The characters at the beginning weren't too bad, but within three chapters I was bored of them, and it only got worse as they "got together." Both characters shifted personalities from and seemed to become entirely different people. Especially David, who turned into the type of guy that was sugary-sweet to the point of you wanting to punch them in the nuts. Honestly, given the way the way Tammy was written at the beginning, she should have dick punched him a couple times. but instead she invites him to share a bubble bath.

The overall impression I had of the book was that it was boring. Which is disappointing since I loved the first two books in the series, and I’ve loved the two Highland Werewolf books of hers I’ve read as well. I suppose in the end, that all writers have at least one book that’s a bit off. And this one was certainly it. I can only hope the fourth book is a better read, as I bought it at the same time I bought this one. If i hadn't, I might not have ever bothered to buy the next one.

This the first book I'm reading from this author and apparently this is the third book of the Heart of the Jaguar series. I have to say despite the fact I hadn't read the other two books, I was able to understand the background to the characters and some of the events from the other books. The author explained everything up front. Although sometimes I felt it was too much information loaded up front. In the first chapter we were introduced to 4 characters with references to 3 other characters from previous books.

However, I got into this story quite easily and really loved the pacing and level of intrigue which kept me turning the pages.
David is on the tail of two teenage jaguar shifters that the agency he works for are trying to recruit. Tammy has been called into to track down a missing jaguar but she isn't happy that she has to work with David whom she had to bail from jail for knocking out a club bouncer. Both characters are likeable and well matched and their chemistry together sizzled throughout. Even the twin teenage shifters had me smiling in places.

This is a fun easy read with an intriguing plot, a kickass heroine and a sexy hero. I am now interested in checking out the other books in the series.

Agent Tammy Anderson is used to getting saddled with male partners, but she has managed to leave them behind with every assignment she has tackled. Why should she do all the work and share the credit?

Fellow jaguar shifter David Patterson knows about Tammy's reputation but he has a counter plan of attack as he is her new partner, stick to her like glue. He didn't plan to have an easy time making Tammy trust him, but he is willing to bide his time and the perks of being close to the sensual beauty are even better than he expected. Traveling to Belize to find a missing jaguar and a couple of troublesome twins are just the beginning of their troubles when it looks like someone is out to kill Tammy.

I enjoyed this paranormal romance with plenty of action, lots of intrigue and an exciting ending although it seemed like they didn't make very much headway in all of their investigating until the end. Jaguar shifter agents Tammy and David are paired up for a mission and he thwarts her attempts to lose him like she does all her other partners.

David Patterson and Tammy Anderson are teamed up when they embark to Belize to track down a missing jaguar, and a pair of mischievous twin shifter that have some secrets of their own. David and Tammy know each other, but passions ignite in the forests of Belize. At first all Tammy wants to do is abandon David to his own devices, but she knows that the only way to find the truth she will have to work with him, and the longer she is in close proximity to him, she knows she won't be able to deny the feelings she has for him. David knows he can handle this feisty she cat who is passionate, sensual and a fighter. Tammy knows how to handle her own, and as they journey closer to the twin shifter who are way more harder to find than they originally thought, Tammy and David will need to rely on each other especially when they seem to be surrounded by enemies and will have to decide who they really trust, and if it will either save them or cost them their lives....

Jaguar Hunt is the third book in this stellar Jaguar Shifter series. I have been waiting for months for this one to come out soon, and I was so shocked when this turned into a author request. I was definitely too excited. Terry Spear is one of those authors, that you automatically can't resist her books, and the moment you pick up one of her books you know that you are in for one helluva ride right? Well it starts off with a bang, when the Hero, David, ends up trying to save two wild but charming twin shifter boys, who get into some trouble, and finds himself in Jail of all places. And the one woman that is known for abandoning her partners, ends up being his partner, what luck right? Well David is about to embark on a adventure that will change his life. Tammy protects her heart, and has a difficult time with trust, and in the beginning she only sees a handsome shifter she could see sharing a bed with, but sharing her life with? Hell no right? Well when both David and Tammy are put in a world of danger, intrigue and a enemy at every corner, Tammy soon learns that you have to grab happiness when you find it and not let it get away.

The sizzling attraction between David and Tammy was packed of steam and enough heat to fire up a volcano. They definitely know how to put some fireworks on and still leave the reader breathless. The plot is never ending in adventure and suspense, and I loved how it kept shocking me, and I could barely put this one down, I just had to know how it ended, because it was leaving me in such suspense. And those twin shifter?? I just know we will be seeing those boys in the near future, they were so fun to watch in the story and they added flair and a witty note to the story that definitely will make the reader be charmed until the very last page.

Overall a stunning package of romance, danger, and some twists and turns to curl your toes. A easy to read, but packed with intrigue, mystery and some villains that you don't see coming. An exceptional addition to this jaguar series, that will have you glued to your seat. MESMERIZING UNTIL THE END!!! Fasten your seat belts boys and girls, because this is one ride you won't ever forget!!

REVIEW: JAGUAR HUNT is the third instalment in Terry Spear’s contemporary, adult Heart of the Jaguar paranormal shifter series. This is jaguar shifters Tammy Anderson and David Patterson’s story. David is Wade’s brother and Tammy is Maya’s cousin whose story was told in book two-Jaguar Fever. With the continuing search for a missing ‘natural’ jaguar, David (a special forces Golden Claw JAG agent) and Tammy (an agent in the Enforcer branch) will be paired together on an assignment that will take them to the jungles of Belize where they will find assistance from an unlikely source.

The storyline finds Tammy and David following a trail of clues that leads our couple on a journey to the tropical rain forests of Belize-where not only do they uncover a potential threat from inside the agency but they discover that partnering together has made for some very romantic and sexy bedfellows.

The relationship between Tammy and David begins as partners working towards a common goal and ends with a declaration of love and a happily ever after. The sex is animalistic, steamy and seductive. Their inner cats have found their mates but the timing finds our couple on the run when their lives are threatened and they are no closer to discovering the whereabouts of the missing jaguar.

Terry Spear pulls the reader into well paced storyline of suspense, mystery and action; developing friendships; and the introduction to the next generation of potential JAG agents. Not only must David and Tammy search for an elusive and missing jaguar but they are caught in a web of deceit, revenge and betrayal that finds them the target of someone within the force. The secondary characters are colorful; mask their true intent and drive the premise of the storyline. Terry Spear does a terrific job of combining the major and minor players into a tale where you don’t know who is the guilty party or why.

JAGUAR HUNT is a perfect blend of mystery, suspense and romance. The reader is never lost or trying to find their way back to the story. There is always something happening and always a path back to the leading couple and the storyline premise.

After getting a lead in a missing jaguar case, David asks to be paired up with Tammy, the agent assigned to the case. Not one to work well with partners, Tammy is skeptical about working with the handsome shifter. But David proves not to be easily dismissed and soon they find themselves running the jungles of Belize where both agents engage in more than the pursuit of the case.

This is my first book by Terry Spear and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. An action-packed story with a great mix of humor and romance and a mystery that didn't relent until the very end, Terry Spear made sure to garner my attention while gaining another fan.

I liked Tammy from the very beginning. She was strong and independent and a perfect match for David. She kept him on his toes and gave as good as she got. I loved watching her succumb to David's charms after all the struggle she put in fighting her attraction to him.

David was also a great character. I enjoyed his sense of humor and his determination. I liked that he was as affected as Tammy but what I loved the most was that he admired her tenacity and recognized her work as an agent. He treated her as an equal while still looking out for her. *swoon*

As for their romance, I do have to say that it played out a bit too fast for me. Thankfully, Terry Spear made a great effort in bringing their connection to the surface. I just wished I could have seen it being developed fully. However, through their case interactions, flirtatious banter and funny bickering I could easily glimpse how easily they related to each other, thus making it easier for me to cheer them on.

Keep in mind that although this is the third book in the Heart of the Jaguar series Terry Spear did a wonderful job of elaborating about the world she had built in the previous books while still focusing on the current story, so it can certainly be read as a stand alone. I will be picking up the previous books in the series and looking forward to her other books.

All in all, an intriguing suspenseful read with a wonderful mix of romance, humor and action-packed events.

~ 4 Jaguar Hunt Stars ~

Jaguar Hunt is book three in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear. It's a sweet romance with a little action and some humor.

David and Tammy, both work for the Special Forces Golden Claw, but in different branches. They know each other through their families and are both introduced to us in Jaguar Fever . Tammy does not like to work with other agents and David does not mind working with others.

I liked both David and Tammy. David surprised me a little. I thought he was the love'n and leave'n type, but he just has bad luck with picking a women who complements him. Tammy, well she is a capable, strong, and an independent women, who needs someone too see her as that. I enjoyed that David was protective, but also saw Tammy as a strong and capable person. I liked their partnership/relationship growth throughout the book. They worked well together as a team, respecting each other, and they came to form a relationship that worked. We get some good plot developments in locating the zoo cat, as well as a few surprises. I enjoyed the mischievous teen boys and how David and Tammy where able to get them to trust them to an extent. I did kinda miss seeing previous characters from the books, like Tammy’s bothers, David’s brother, and the Anderson’s. I missed having that character connection.

All around Jaguar Hunt was a fun adventure; with the mischievous teens, locating the missing cat, and the relationship developing between David and Tammy. Ms. Spears knows how to create a fun world full of sexy interesting shifters with the right amount of suspense, action, and romance. I adore Ms. Spear work and will always re-read one of them.

Jaguar Hunt is a paranormal romance with a mystery to boot.

Attempting to find a missing jaguar, David Patterson and Tammy Anderson must track down the clues and uncover who is behind the cat's disappearance. The clues take them to Belize, where they run into some trouble of their own. Precocious twins and assassination attempts keep both Tammy and David on their toes and sometimes stuck as cats.

Although this is part and partial of the Heart of the Jaguar series, this book can be read as a standalone.

A sizzling, sexy romance with a fun and exciting mystery invested me in this story. If I had to pick one, I'd have to say the mystery held me most. Spear weaves a plot filled with wonderful twists and many unexpected turns during our couple's investigation. I definitely look forward to more of the (2) sets of twins and what mayhem that might cause.

Jaguar Hunt is a nice blend of mystery, intrigue, action and steamy romance. What more could you ask for? I have read Terry Spear's wolf shifter series so I thought I would give this a try. I was not disappointed.

Agent Tammy Anderson and Enforcer David Patterson team up on a mission that takes them to Belize. They are following two teen boys who may have information about a missing jaguar. Tammy and David soon learn that there is more to this mission than they originally thought...missing jaguar, mischievous teen boys and a budding romance. Will Tammy and David be able to keep their minds on the mission and their hands off of each other?

Tammy is one tough agent who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. David is one sexy enforcer who knows how to protect his partner. The chemistry between Tammy and David quickly heats up in exotic Belize. I will never look at a waterfall the same way after this read. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Tammy Anderson and David Patterson are on a mission, hunting for a stolen jaguar. Their investigation leads them to Belize and into some real danger. But these two are not your normal kind of investigators. They are jaguar shifters and they both work for different agencies run by only by jaguar shifters.

Tammy has had trouble in the past working with male partners but this time things are different when she is assigned to work with David. As they work closely together David is able to get Tammy to trust him and maybe have some feeling for him…

Jaguar Hunt is the third book in the Heart of the Jaguar series. I just loved the plot of this one and had such a difficult time putting it down. While it is possible to read this book as a standalone and totally enjoy it, I would recommend that if you are a fan of contemporary paranormal romance that you should just read this wonderful series. I have and I am so looking forward to the next book!

Jaguar Hunt is the 3rd book in the Heart of the Jaguar series by Terry Spear. I have yet to be disappointed by a Terry Spear book and this one is no exception. Jaguar Hunt is entertaining, sexy, fun and exciting. Tammy and David are both very likeable characters and it was a joy to see them come together. I also loved the teen side characters and their antics. I look forward to reading more about them in future stories.

In Jaguar Hunt, David and Tammy pair up together on a mission to find a missing Jaguar. In the process they uncover a plot that is more sinister then they originally believed. From the States to Belize you’ll follow this couple on a journey fraught with danger and steaming with sexual tension. Add in romance and a dash of humor and it makes for a very enjoyable read.

Jaguar Hunt and the Heart of the Jaguar series, is highly recommended for fans of paranormal romance.

This is the third Heart of the Jaguar series (pick it up!), and the books always have such a good combination of sizzle and teeth. Each book can be read as a stand-alone, but I definitely recommend picking up the first two. David and Tammy are fun to watch dance around each other. Tammy has a bad rep for ditching her partners, and David is extremely protective and sweet. There was a bit of mystery, a touch of humor (jaguar teens) and of course the tension of knowing two people will fall into one another creates another great book. There could have been a bit more intimacy, but if you're in the mood for a light, smexy read in sinful Belize, pick it up!

Head over to the HEA blog to see what Terry has to say about her hot hero!

I liked Tammy and David in this one. The story moved along and kept you on your toes trying to figure out just who was the bad guys. The whole mess with the cousins I knew was going to be good when it was brought up in the last one. I liked her father though even if the whole marriage thing came up at an odd time seeing the conversation they'd just had. Then again the timing behind her telling David what she thought her father was up to was off as well. Hopefully well get to see what happens with the fallout of this in the next one.

I can't tell people that I enjoyed the book when I actually didn't, eh?

What I disliked.
- Tammy's attitude
- Tammy wants to play hard to get looks epic fail to me
- Slow pace and dragged
- Flat romance; no chemistry between Tammy and David
- the circus; LOATHE it

What I liked.
- The action and the suspense
- the adventure with activities in the rainforest
- The teens
- David, for his sense of humour
- Jaguar shifter

Sorry this book wasn't for me. May book 4 won't be disappointing *fingers' crossed*

OMG I loved this book it was so funny and witty that I was laughing through out the book.
I've read all of Terry Spear's books and I've loved all of them so much. This was another great installment for the jaguar series. Keep them coming I can't seem to get enough.

Is there a sexier setting for a romance than a tropical jungle ?

But let's start with the beginning first.

Picking up your new partner in jail is not the best way to meet him and begin a work relationship , whether you're human or a jaguar shifter. Yet this is how it happened for Tammy Anderson.

It doesn't matter that the cocky JAG agent picked a fight with the douchebag bouncer to allow the teen shifters that he must keep an eye on, to assure they comply with their people's laws, Tammy is not a team player anyway and she plan to ditch him the first chance she's got, like she did with all her other partners.

David Patterson is a member of the same special forces unit for jaguar shifters as his brother Wade. It's easy to not take him too seriously with his charming and easygoing attitude. But that's the first mistake you could make. He's damn good at his job and not afraid to be teamed up with the she-cat everyone tell him is a maverick.

The arc that began in Jaguar Fever about the missing zoo jaguar continue in this story, when Tammy and David must follow a clue that will lead them in Central America, where the same teenagers that David was shadowing will bring them on a wild-goose chase all over the tropical forest. An investigation that will reveal many secrets that Tammy and David couldn't imagine.

This series just keeps getting better. It's always fun to return to Belize and the exotic settings, but I thought the investigation part was better than in the previous book. It was full of twists and with more surprises. To be honest, I could not wait for the last two books because there's supposed to be jaguar cubs in it, but Jaguar Hunt is a very nice addition and certainly worth the read.

Some people may be turned off by the heroine, especially at first. She's pretty bossy, she doesn't play well with others and maybe you won't buy that it's because she's been underestimated by her past partners and betrayed by her ex, but me, I liked her just like that. And she's not a complete hardass. She have a good sense of humor and can tease just as good as David does. And anyway, the hero is doing very well with the challenge she represents. He's too likeable and it doesn't take long before Tammy soften towards him.

What I like particularly in this series, is there's always lot of scenes where we see the characters in their jaguar form, and the animal lover in me can only be happy with that :)

Tammy Anderson
David Patterson

David a Jag Golden Claw is on assignment to follow a set of twins and see what they know about a missing zoo Jaguar and to bring them in to Jag head quarters. Tammy is an Enforcer and her assignment is to locate the missing Jaguar zoo cat and return to the zoo. David asks to work with Tammy since their assignments are over lapping. They go to Belize following the twins hoping to win them over to find out information on the Jaguar. While there they encounter the twins and their hijinks, zip line problems, a mole in the agencies and romance. I really liked David. He is a good protector but he also allows Tammy to do her job. I liked Tammy because she is a go getter and wants to do her job. She has a reputation for ditching her partners but she just gets closer and closer to David. This book is a fast read, it can be read as a stand alone or as part of the series. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read more books by this author.

This book was barely finishable. Throughout the story we’re supposed to be concerned about a jaguar that’s been stolen from a zoo. First we’re told it’s safe, then it’s not, people who are jaguar shifters are mysteriously connected to this actual jaguar, and two experts in dangerous work are assigned to solve the problem. Never are we given any reason to care for the real cat, the shifter-cats, or even care why someone is trying to kill someone else. We have characters thrown in who serve no discernable purpose and might as well be cardboard cutouts. It was hard to keep track of who was who and even the two bad guys were virtually interchangeable. Interspersed are steamy sex scenes that do nothing to enhance to plot. Afterwards, neither participant has any change of outlook or commitment. If I hadn’t just finished a much better shifter story, this book could have discouraged me from the shifter genre altogether.

Such a great series so far. I love how intriguing the books are when it comes to Terry Spear's romance books. She always knows how to keep the reader on their toes and she always knows how to make any romance seem romantic. Love her words in the books as they just seem to pull you into the books themselves and you become apart of her stories no matter where you are. You could be at home in bed meanwhile you are also in Belize in the book. Love this book!

Jaguar 🐆 needs safty

There a Jaguar missing from a zoo. A Jaguar missing from a circus. A set of twins or is it two sets of twins helping the Jaguar. And what about a possibility of someone on the take. David and Tammy are keeping an eye on the twins to find out where the Jaguar could be or maybe the twins keeping an eye on them.

Tammy likes 2 show the dumb ass men a thing or 2 about how 2 treat people what happens. A few didn't like it but 2 bad. It's awesome when kids try everything in their power 2 do what's rt even when things can go bad very fast. But with the special help and protection of 2 workers, David and tammy . But when certain things happen that's bad who will help find the answers and catch the would b traitors?

JAGUAR HUNT by Terry Spear, Heart of the Jaguar Book 3

Wow, so intriguing, a dangerous mission in the jungle, missing jaguar, rogue cats, two wayward boys in the making of becoming JAG agents. Terry Spear’s JAGUAR HUNT is a thrilling tale of love and danger.

She likes ditching her partners, but David isn't about to let her lose him. Working together to find a missing zoo jaguar and chase after the twin jaguar shifters that are involved.
