i enjoyed the first three books of this series but with this volume the author hit rock bottom, for the record i want to state that i only got to around 65% before i could not force myself to read anymore.
Unfortunately the character (Thad especially) development in this book is absolutly messed up, instead of developing he gets dumber with every new chapter.
Someone should count the number of times the maincharacter fainted in this series, the author has to really look up some new storytelling techniques.
What i really don't understand are all the 5 star ratings, can someone write a review and tell me why this book deserves that?
Thad is having quite the adventure. Meeting dwarves, elves, sprites, and more. He fights for his killed love and all mages suppressed by an army of anti-mages. He is captured and tortured violently, but with help a the God's and his faith in his own abilities, he will win the day. Now it is time for War!
I do not understand what did the author think when writing this one. He can get any jewel with his powers. Hire more goddamn ppl hire a guild of assassins, bodyguards. He brings down a whole goddamn town why does he not blow the goddamn building where all the enemies leaders are in and kill them all without moving more than a finger?. Mages can make any type of weapon to destroy the enemies army they don`t need to attack with magic at all, they can use animals plants wind water(drown them all in a valley using earth and water, go trough a mountain and make it impassable etc.) What can the other side do, flash a white stick?
love this series as it continues to unfold. the development of new character and challenges that the characters go through Will keep any reader that love fantasy stories from putting this series down.
I had to give this book 5 starts because even though it was rife with bad grammar, Spelling and misused words I was so caught up in the story I could not put it down and had to immediately move on to the next book when finished.
Thats it.. The main character is a complete incompetent idiot.. Congratulations DW Jackson. You have gotten me to dislike the main character. seriously? Why are you making the character out to be a fool?
