Just Good Friends is my debut book. Winning Back Ryan, a New Adult romance will be out July 30th. It's sequel, Getting Back Annie will be released shortly after. Office Perks a stand alone romance will be released October.

I live in NJ with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. I like going to diners on the weekend for inspiration, drink a pot of coffee a day, and hate referring to myself in the third person. I also have a university degree in sarcasm and enjoy using my smart mouth whenever an opportunity arises.

ARC provided by Author for Honest Review

3.5 Stars
I honestly don’t even know what I expected from this book. When I was contacted by the author to read part two I was excited since I never expected another book. This was all kinds of mindfuckery and I’m still suffering a hang-over trying to decipher everything that happened.
Annie tried so hard to win back her cheating boyfriend Ryan. Finally realizing she was better than that, his crazy side came out and he attacked her. Her best friend Brian finally admits his feelings and though Annie is hesitant at first when this book starts Annie and Brian have moved beyond the bonds of friendship.

Annie still feels protective of Brian after saving him from almost killing himself. I never considered how Brian would feel beholden to Annie because of this. This is one issue tackled in the book and trust me it’s the least of the drama that occurs.

Annie and Brian are still in the beginning of a relationship and since Annie is still dealing with Ryan’s attack and dishonesty she’s not ready to move on to marriage and babies just yet. Brian however, sure of his love for Annie is ready to make her his now and forever. But there’s still the issue of Brian and Annie’s friends setting her up to catch Ryan in the act. Though, they were trying to help, how she can accept that and move on. They played part in one of the most horrible and embarrassing moments of her life. And they set it up. If I was her I would be equally pissed.

Needless to say, Annie is dealing with a lot of inner and outer turmoil. Brian’s desire to speed up their relationship causes Annie to basically panic and leaves her unsure of anything. Her hesitancy is just what her other friend Ben needs. Sure his man whore ways have always been a turn off for Annie, but he’s never felt good enough for her. But he finds it’s harder to fight his feelings and keep Annie strictly as friends.

To say I felt blindsided throughout this book is a wicked understatement. I had no clue what to expect and around every corner and new tension or dramatic element would arise. I still feel like I can’t grasp it all and it only makes me feel worse for Annie. Every time she thinks her life is in order or following the right path, the past finds a way to break her heart into a million pieces leaving her more devastated and lost than ever before.

I refuse to say more because so much happens in this book and though I never expected it, I’m still unsure where things will end for Annie. As far as I know there will be more one book in the series and I can’t wait. Though the drama was enough for Jerry Springer in this one, I was constantly shocked and amazed by S.L. Siwik’s thought provoking but at the same time angering writing. I don’t even know which male I root for anymore so at this point I’m hoping poor Annie can score both Ben and Brian though, this seems more like wishful thinking on my part, because both are equally possessive and not fans of one another in the least. Here’s to hoping for a speedy release of book 3 and a HEA for Annie and the man of her dreams, whoever that may be.

In the second book of the Winning Back series, Annie struggles to come to terms with what's happened to her. But, when one door closes, another opens, and Annie finds out that Ben and she are not as different as they appear. I hope you enjoy the continuing story of Annie and her friends as much as I've enjoyed writing it. Thank you for the support, and PLEASE review. Nothing helps an author out better than knowing what you did or not like!

I was given an ARC by the Author in exchange for an honest review

This is the second book in this series and must be read in order to appreciate the AWESOMENESS that is Getting Back Annie! I devoured this book for more than one reason but mainly for Ben Hurley. Yes, he is not who Annie ends up with in Winning Back Ryan but Ben steals the show and my heart in the process.

The story begins the 4th of July weekend. A weekend that Annie usually
spends out in the Hamptons with Ben, Max, George and Brian. But this
year Annie and Brian will be spending it as a couple with their families.

And so it begins, Brian’s jealousy and insecurity. He subtly insinuates that Annie should distance herself from the men in her life…..more importantly Ben.

I was a fan of Brian and Annie getting together in Winning Back Ryan
but in this book I was Team Ben all the way. He is everything that Annie needs and wants but she is too scared to admit it. What she and Brian have is easy and comfortable. What Annie has with Ben is explosive and it rocks her to her core.

Annie is still suffering from the after effects from her encounter with
Ryan. She is having bad dreams almost nightly and Brian is unable to
help her since she had not shared the details of the attack with
him….just Ben. They speak regularly and he seems to be the only
person who can help Annie find her way through the darkness.

I loved Ben! Yep, no sugar coating it! Almost everything that came out
of his mouth was laced with sexual innuendo or a raw honesty. He was
determined to protect Annie and help her heal. Ben accepts Annie and
all of her imperfections, so she when she is with him she can just be.

“Just when I think that there’s no hope, when I think that I need to give up on you, somehow you do something brilliant. Every. Fucking. Time. And all this…….chaos around me makes some sense again. So, thank
you for being you.” ~ Ben

I was glad to see that Brian’s meddling and control issues over Annie
and her relationships was thrust into her view. It reinforced that she had options. That he wasn’t the only one for her.

Although Annie is conflicted, she can’t get Ben out of her mind or her
dreams. Cigarette anyone? Then just when I think Ben and Annie may
have their moment….I get the moment and then its gone and there is
another twist and turn that keeps them apart.

“Calling you before walking into that apartment with Ryan is the best
decision I’ve ever made”, I whispered. His eyes shot with pain, so I tried to explain. “Ever since that day, I feel safe and secure with you. More than I have ever felt in my entire life with anyone else. Ever. I don’t know why exactly but I trust you implicitly.” He opened his mouth to speak but closed it. “I sleep with the turtle you gave me every night. Did you know that? You just make everything better.”
~ Annie

There were several times in the story that I wanted to shake Annie and
tell her to pick Ben! Stop running between them and pick the one that
not only makes you feel but makes you feel alive. I get that you can
“love” more than one person but you can only truly be “in love” with
one. Don’t get me wrong, Ben was not an angel in all of this either. But I appreciated his determination to get what he wanted and his
willingness to let Annie figure things out for herself.

Now I won’t say that I was thrilled with the ending of this book, cause I wasn’t. But the author was being true to her characters and a HEA
just wouldn’t have fit at this time. So I will be hanging on to the edge of my seat waiting to see what is next for Annie, Brian and Ben…..hoping all the while that someday soon Ben will get his HEA too. I cannot recommend this series enough….so if you haven’t had a chance to read it…go grab it, its AMAZING!

I fell in love with the group of characters from the beginning and with each chapter my love for them continued to grow. To me this isn’t a romance story, it is a story of finding who you really are in life, buried under the layers of what you are expected to be.

I really didn’t know what to expect from this series, but it quickly became one of my all time favorites. Anne is such a strong woman, even though she feels so broken after what Ryan did to her in the first book. She lives with nightmares and fears from that night and she depended on Ben to protect her. Brian loves her, and she knows that he is a safe choice to be with, but she isn’t ready. She knows she has a lot of healing to do from Ryan but she also knows Brian is the one her Christian family would approve of. She also knows that she saved Brian’s life in the first book and she isn’t so sure if this comfort and security is out of love or need on his part.

Ben, I fell in love with this man, he is risky. He doesn’t commit, he just does his own thing even though he comes from a very wealthy family and could go far in his father’s business. He has a connection to Anne that frightens her, but she also needs it. Where Brian holds Anne up on a level she isn’t comfortable with, Ben accepts Anne as a broken human who is just trying to find her way. He doesn’t treat her as a fragile doll, he makes her face her fears, take those risks and let go of the guilt she carries. He knows how to heal her, but does he know how to love her like Brian does?

What Anne finally has to decide is if she is worthy of healing herself. Does she need Brian, Ben and her other two best friends Max and George to mend her broken spirit or can she find the courage and strength to do it herself? I found I was wanting to rush to the end of the book to see what she decided, but I also wanted to postpone getting there, because I didn’t want this story to end. I can’t express the thrill I felt when I saw this story is to be continued. This group of young adults will find their way into your heart quickly. They all have baggage they are trying to deal with, while protecting and loving each other. They often lose themselves in this group because they are connected. That is part of the heart-break when you see the fractures in this group happen and you are left wondering if they will ever find their way back together. It is an intense story, it sucks you in and never lets you go. There isn’t a boring time in it, as the author keeps us moving from one situation to the next, leaving us crumbled in a sobbing mess at times and laughing out loud at points.

For me this story shows the strength of the human spirit, the love one can feel for another person. The connection and bond between good friends. It also shows that as adults we have to discard some of the things we were taught and find out for ourselves what we believe in. For Anne she had to get out of her father’s shadow and meet the real Anne, get to know her and most of all accept herself. I think Brian worshiped her, while Ben taught her that she needed to love herself enough to want to heal. Anne was to busy carrying the guilt and responsibility of everyone’s happiness to the point she lost herself. She refused to allow herself the time to get over what happened because she was too concerned with how those she loved would feel watching her fall apart. Sometimes denying your own pain in order to help others, ends up hurting the whole group as we will see in this book.

I for one can hardly wait till book three comes out but while we wait make sure you get your copy of Winning Back Ryan and then Getting back Annie. I know I called the character Anne in my review while the title says Annie, but once you read it you will understand why there is a difference. It all comes down to I……………

Getting Back Annie- S.I Siwik
Well S.I, I thought you did a great job with ‘Winning Back Ryan’ but once again you took my breath away with Getting Back Annie.

As Annie finally leaves all that Ryan did to her, she has to look at herself in the mirror and just because she looks fine on the outside, she is completely broken on the inside. He left her sad and humiliated with his assault and I didn’t think she was ever going to find her way back to herself. But, she does. She does with the help of all of her boys, and one in particular. Except, it’s not the one who you would think would be there.
Enter Benjamin.
The bad boy, drunky pants, rich kid who Annie not only knows, but she sees. She sees him for everything he is. However these two are not together. Annie is promised to Brian, the best friend extraordinaire that has been there for 5 years and helped try to pick her up when she fell.
Here is where it gets tricky. Brian helped orchestrate a “situation” if you will, to get Annie away from Ryan (the horrible man from the first book) and TADA Annie finds out one night from a comment from another friend. Things get serious from this point.
She has worked through all of her hardships, decided against her better judgment to get married and thought “This is what my life will be like” and started FINALLY to be okay again, to be content and happy. When she finds out Brian hurt her…. She runs. She runs fast and hard into the beautiful and misunderstood, Benjamin’s arms. Where in my opinion she should have been from day 1! I thought to myself, FINALLY this is it for them; they are going to be happy.
The Masquerade Dinner seriously was my undoing. I was reading and thinking YES. And I got slapped in the face. Hard with a thud, of WHAT THE HELL just happened.
When you think you know, you have no idea. One of the sexiest scenes in the book by far but Jesus when it ends you will look again and think NO WAY!
“Princess, I wouldn’t keep egging me on, unless you are sure you can handle the consequences”
“Now how do you feel? Stop denying, stop lying, and just be honest.”
S.I threw a curve ball at me and I was surprised, maybe not pleasantly but I was surprised (and I mean that with the sincerest love)…. Things got sticky, Annie lost herself again. All she wanted was control, of her emotions, of her mind, and most of all of her life. She wanted it and she was taking it back.
“I wanted to know what it felt like to be connected to him so intimately”
She got her wish. The mirror. Sweet Jesus the mirror. I have NEVER read a scene in a book that was so intimately done between 2 people. I have read a lot of sex, but this wasn’t about just the sex. It was two people falling head over heels for each other in one single act of sexual intimacy.
But BAM it goes nuts again! Damn you S.I (lol)
Things don’t end there and they continue to go haywire for these 2 and everyone else. She finally has enough and decides to take back all of herself; from Ryan, from Brian, and from Ben. And she does it in a big way! I give this book 5 ‘I fight like a girl and win’ stars and cannot wait for the next installment of some of my favorite boys and most of all the girl who not only fights from the bottom, but will fight until she stays on top, not for anyone else; but for herself.

I was super duper happy when i received a copy of the ARC to review and opportunity join the tour, following on from the first book Winning back Ryan. I completely loved WBR, i wished it never end and now i have the follow on in my hands!

As soon as you start reading it, all the characters came rushing back...oh how i miss them. Especially Ben, loved his charming cheeky character and i get a hell lot out of him in this book, which is a bonus. He's just character that you love and hate.

As you could of guess by the title it's about getting back Annie but who? The follow on is solely about Annie how she see everything differently moulding herself to suit others and losing herself along the way. finally being together with Brian, everything is going smooth like moose but something just seem to be missing. Brian is everything she wants and safe but does she dare walk the danger zone and step out of the box and find what she really desire.

"Just because something ends, doesn't mean you've failed. Sometimes things need to end, so that better things can begin"

To be honest after reading the book i got a little mixed feeling. Don't get be wrong i really enjoyed it but i was hoping for something I little bit more. More action, more fight and more build up Annie and Brian relationship, as its just fallen into place, i know they have been best friends since whenever but still its a little be different, he's got the title ' boyfriend' now. The chemistry between Ben and Annie was awesome but I didn't see any fight from Brian, especially he finally got what he long waited for. I was expecting a awesome love triangle, especially all three characters are so strong in their own sense. I mean there is a triangle but its more Annie battling her guiltiness and mental and physical mind after Ryan. Both guys are just waiting for Annie to make the decision but she just doesn't know and sometimes I just want to scream, come on its obvious who you want, stop hurting the other one.

"Annie, if you don't go right now, I will convince you to stay. And if you come with me, I will do unspeakably dirty things to you. I'll do things to you body that I'm sure no man has. And when I'm done, there will be nothing virginal about you anymore. You'll be in the confessional a month straight after I'm finished.

If you've read the first one or you're a big Ben (yep, I've heard its big ;) fan) Then you should definitely read this. It full of cheeky banter between and sweetness between Annie and Ben. Gentle and caring from Brian and best friends like Max and George on stand by. Its about feeling lost and just doing what other people please to fit back in but there is a knight at the end of the dark tunnel that is shining the light for her. Who will she finally release is right for her...

4 Great Stars!

Getting Annie Back continues the story of Annie and her best friend Brian, Ben, George, and Max who have all been friends for years. In this story we also see Annie who now must deal with the repercussions of what Ryan had done to her in book 1. The pain and betrayal that she lives with every day is slowly eating away at her and she seems to be losing herself more everyday. Annie loves Brian and they are trying to move forward with their lives as a new couple but fear seems to always get in the way as well as the fact that Annie feels the strong pull to Ben. Can Annie and Brian continue moving forward as a couple, or will Annie learn that what she feels for Ben is much stronger?

I loved the ending to this story, but there is of course so much more waiting for his to read and discover about this group of friends. I can't wait to see what journey lies ahead for Annie while she is away with her brother as well what will be awaiting her when she returns. Will she go back to Brian, or will she finally accept what is happening between her and Ben. What I love most about this series, is the fact that we as readers are able to feel the emotions of each character. Each character in the book is dealing with their own personal dilemma and we grow to love them all. The one problem I find with these sorts of books is who do I want Annie to end up with. I have grown to love particular things about both Brian and Ben, but I think that Ben is a much better match for Annie. He brings out the best in her and I can only hope the series will end happily for everyone.

Overall, I truly enjoyed this book and can't wait to finish the series. Everyone who loves a good love triangle would love this series!! :)

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of Getting Back Annie. I have been waiting what feels like FOREVER for this book and it did not disappoint!! :-) I thought it was much better than Book 1!!! And I’m not just saying that because it made me cry.

Book 2 starts off where Book 1 ended. And I must say that I did NOT like Brian. He is suddenly all possessive, lets take 50 steps forward in our relationship..Yikes!! He says he wants to help her but yet he also wants her to give up all her friends. So nope didn’t like him at the beginning.

And of course there was Annie. Poor sweet girl is just getting over being attacked by Mr. Duschepickle Ryan. I loved when Ben took her boxing. She really needed to get some of that out. And I teared up during that scene. I love those two together!!!

Then there was Ben, sweet horny loveable Ben :-) I loved him in Book 1 and that was who I wanted Annie to end up with in the first place!! I still LOVE him & want to cuddle him up!! I was glad that we got to see his thoughts a little bit in there. And how HOT is it that he keeps a Journal???

And who could forget George & Max...Loved them, they always made me laugh.

This book was a roller coaster….Brian, Ben, Brian, Ben…...I had my fingers crossed the whole time hoping that she would pick the right one. And did she?????? Well I can’t give you any spoilers. You are just going to have to read it yourself and find out *wink wink* All I can say is that I need Book 3 NOW!!!! Although I just read the title of Book 3 and I’m not sure I like where that is going!!! LOL

I was provided with an arc of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

After Ryan's ultimate betrayal, I struggle to pick up the pieces of my life and move on. Brian is a wonderful boyfriend, but even he can't stop the nightmares or the anger I feel inside. As I feel myself slipping with no hopes of coming back the person I was before, the most unlikely of people steps in to save me...Ben Hurley. I love Brian, but Ben is persistent. He refuses to give up on me, or our love.

I liked this sequel to Winning Back Ryan. It was a good read.
I spent quite a bit of the book somewhat confused with the MC, Annie. She seemed to bounce back and forth with her feelings at every turn. I think at those points, there could have been better explanation as to what was going on in the MC's head. All in all though, I enjoyed the book and do look forward to the next book in the series for sure!

I loved Winning Back Ryan. In fact I religiously checked to see when book 2 was going to be released.

I read Getting Back Annie, and I am conflicted. The writing is excellent. Characters are well developed. Dialogue is fabulous.

Let me say that I am a reader who does not mind angst at all. I don't mind a juicy love triangle either. Heck, I don't even mind cliffhangers, cheaters, or trilogy's. However, too much of a good (or bad) thing can drag a book down. Without giving spoilers, I was very frustrated with the back and forth going on. It also was a touch unfair to us readers that there was really no resolution at all. There was no high point, no low point, just the constant conflict with Annie's choice.

I will definitely pick up the next book. I believe that Siwik has a really good voice that has so much potential.

Another great book.

I really enjoyed this continuation of Winning Back Ryan.
Now I have to wait for book 3, which I'm not to happy about, lol.

I think I am just as confussed as Annie though, because with Brian, she has commitment, lasting love, a future, and compassion, BUT with Ben she has GREAT sex, she can be herself, and doesn't have nightmares.
So how in the hell are you supposed to choose? I really liked the characters, the plot, the friends, not to much drama. I just hate not knowing what she will decide, when she returns, by the name of book 3, I can pretty much guess. Not sure if I am ok with that are not though, lol.
See, I am so confussed as well. Either way, I guess, it will be good.
Looking forward to reading it, so please hurry.

I received an ARC of Getting Back Annie from the Author.

I absolutely loved this book, it had a mix of everything in it. It follows on where book 1 left off, it was such a roller coaster ride of emotions and decisions, but very well written. I can not wait for book 3.

Ben has been my favourite through both books, as he is honest and says what he thinks and he lets you be yourself without trying to change you. Whereas Brian even though he loves Annie wants to move too fast and change small things about her life.

If you liked Winning Back Ryan then you will definitely love Getting Back Annie.

I loved Winning Back Ryan but I Liked this one even better. Annie's life is getting more and more overwhelming. She is getting pressured from everyone and they are treating her like nothing has happened and she is just the same old Annie. She struggles with the who she really is and who she thinks she should be. In this book you get to meet and learn more about her family and how she was raised. I must say before this book I was totally rooting for her and Brian to work out but now I am team Ben all the way. I am really looking forward to the next book in the series and I hope she comes back to Ben.

Well to start out I loved reading about how Anne and Ben took their relationship to the next level. It was fun reading about Ben's family and feelings. As you have probably already guessed I'm a major fan of his with that being said I did enjoy the moments with the rest of the guys. Anne has a lot happening in her life family problems, relationship issues, and trying to figure out what she really wants. I hope to discover what happens next soon!
