The brutal Bratva won my virginity at a poker game. And now I’m pregnant. He’s much older than me and promised to someone else for mafia purposes. Little did I know that he’d claim me and our baby regardless. Little did I know that he’d start a mafia war just to possess me.
He says he doesn’t do love, and he’s never been committed. I try to think of that every time he makes me lose my mind. But it’s hard when his tongue owns my mouth so completely. It’s hard when his fingers tease my curves into submission.
I hate how he’s playing me, like a card game he controls. I hate how my body responds to him, like a helpless toy he owns. My heart will not survive this, because it’s been his since the start. But when all hell breaks loose, will he betray me for good?
Or will he finally claim all of me?
The members of the Vadim Bratva rule the city and own the ground you walk on. They will burn the city to the ground if they don’t get their heart’s desire. So there’s only one Open yourself and give them what they want. Or have them take it anyway.
Veda Rose loves getting lost in the intense, dark and suspenseful universes she creates. Although her characters can often be complicated and twisty, at the core of it all is deep and profound love.
Born and raised in Portland, Veda Rose has always been an introvert who could often be found deeply engrossed in a book. Or multiple books. So it was only natural that at some point she would embark on her own journey as a writer to bring to life her wild imagination.
When she is not writing or thinking out her next tormented love fantasy, she enjoys hiking and exploring unfamiliar places with her furry companions.
I kept reading this story because the premise was good, A little cliche , but nothing wrong with cliches. The problem I had was the grammar and lack of editing. The dialogue and descriptions were clumsy and stilted...almost as if English is a second language. I suggest you get a better editor , one who will tell you the truth about your work...if you're going to write more fiction.
Vlad and Mariana were supposed to be a hook-up, but Vlad felt he wasn't finished with her yet. Then came the engagement to another lady and all the baggage the mafia brings.

This is the third book in the Vadim Bratva series and it is by far the best. Unlike the first 2 books, errors are few and the story is original and interesting. Vlad Vadim is the youngest of the four brothers. He is the enforcer and very skilled in killing or maiming enemies. Marianna Lopez runs an art gallery. She and her friend Christy love adventure and they go to an underground casino to play poker, which Marianna excels at. She meets Vlad there as he owns and operates it. They have sex and both are attracted each other. The love story gets complicated when Vlad is forced into an engagement with a self centered bratty daughter of another mob boss. Then she realizes that she is pregnant. This is a very good book, more in line with the author's prior Sorvino Bratva series. I definitely recommend it.
Will Vlad do what's best for his family or take what he wants?
Mariana ends up losing her virginity to a stranger after a poker game and ends up pregnant. Vlad can't believe that the beautiful woman named Mariana gave him her virginity and now it seems he can't stop thinking about her. Then Vlad gets told by his brother that he must marry some spoiled Italian princess to form an alliance with the Camorrista. Glad can't stand the woman he's supposed to marry and when he finds out Mariana is pregnant he must make a decision. Marry the spoiled princess to help strengthen his family or marry and protect Mariana because he wants her and his baby with him. Which will he choose??
I enjoyed the story line a lot, and was surprised by several situations, which is always very enjoyable when you read multiple books in the same genre. However, I have to say, one of the things that truly bothered me (why I only put it at 3 stars) are all the written errors that popped up was very bothersome to me. For example, in one narration it stated as he lit his cigarette, and the next sentence stated he put out his cigar. Again, if it was just one, you let it go,. but there are numerous. I am going onto the next book_ if it has a lot of these errors_ I will most likely drop the series.
This is the 3rd book in the series and it doesn’t disappoint. This is Vlad’s story, he is the youngest of the brothers and the enforcer. He meets the h at his casino and they are attracted to each other. They have a one night stand and they fall in love. His family has made a deal for him to marry the daughter of a rival family to have an alliance but he is in love with the h. Then he finds out she is pregnant and calls off the engagement which leads to a mafia war. The plot and characters were very well written. Good epilogue.
I enjoyed the story but there were so many grammatical errors in this book and some parts were rushed and didn’t make sense. I have read Veda Rose books before and I do enjoy them but this book just lacked so much and was sometimes very confusing in parts. Overall, would I recommend the book? Yes I would.
I liked she was a virgin. The characters were too old to act so juvenile and the woman was weak and petulant 75% of the time. She gave herself to him, yet all she constantly did was stay angry. I gave this three stars for the time and effort invested by the author.
I enjoyed this plot. It had a balance of mafia and romance. The characters were well developed and there was some back story albeit not a lot but enough to get a feel for them.
At least he didn't kidnap this one like his brothers!! Vlad definitely didn't know what he was getting into with Mariana, and she just knew she shouldn't get involved, but the heart wants what the heart wants!!
Loved Vlad and Mariana they were great together. This story had a lot of ups and downs but a lot of love and family. I enjoyed this story and will read more on this family.
Enjoyed the storyline and the characters. Flowed and it made in to a great afternoon read. A few typos and I highlighted and sent to editor. Didn't distract from the book. But my eye caught it. Definitely recommend.
All the books in this series are great but the spelling and punctuation was driving me crazy! So many errors. Like I said, the series is fantastic and will definitely read more from this author.
Vlad is a playboy doesn't like woman and don't believe in live at all, then he meets Mariana and everything changes 😍😍, I loved it , it was another nice quick mafia read ❤️❤️
The grammar and spelling were bad. Some of it made no sense. The story line was ok, slow in some parts. This one did not hold my attention. Disappointed
Me gusta que el principio haya ido más lento y que realmente él no solo la secuestre y ya está, creo que es el único de los 3 libros en el que ella no tiene síndrome de Estocolmo.
This story was on point! I was invested from start to finish. The word choice mistakes were less and it was written quite well. This is my favorite of the series so far!
