After a lifetime of depending on others, Kiera Coleman is ready to control her own fate. The small-town caterer has big plans for her new food truck venture, and this time she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat. There’s just one problem…the best food truck renovator in the business is the guy who years ago broke her young heart.
Trey Watson has gone from being a hell-raising risk taker to a successful entrepreneur, so when Kiera hires him to renovate her food truck, he jumps at the chance to return to his small hometown and show people just what he’s made of himself. Nothing could have prepared him for the rekindled feelings that emerge when he comes face to face with the girl who once owned his heart. As familiar passion ignites between them, Trey is determined to show Kiera that the love they once shared deserves a second chance. But Kiera has no intention of losing her heart to Trey again.
When passion flares in the sleepy town of Maplesville, Trey and Kiera both learn that just a little taste is never enough.
A native of south Louisiana, Farrah Rochon officially began her writing career while waiting in between classes in the student lounge at Xavier University of Louisiana. After earning her Bachelors of Science degree and a Masters of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University, Farrah decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a published novelist. She was named Shades of Romance Magazine's Best New Author of 2007. Her debut novel, Deliver Me, the first in her Holmes Brothers series, garnered rave reviews, earning Farrah several SORMAG Readers' Choice Awards.
In September 2010, Farrah joined the Kimani Romance family with the launch of her new series that follows the life of the fictional New York Sabers football team.
When she is not writing in her favorite coffee shop, Farrah spends most of her time reading her favorite romance novels, hanging around on Twitter, and trying to attend as many Broadway shows as her budget will allow. An admitted sports fanatic, Farrah feeds her addiction to football by watching New Orleans Saints games on Sunday afternoons.
This series was the absolute best!! This book started out good from page 1 and I had to make myself slow down so I wouldn't finish too soon. Ms. Farrah, you did it again!
I really loved this one. First loves reuniting! Loved it! Trey is hot as hell! I can't believe Kiera thought she would be able to resist. Lol. Lots of things can happen in 14 years but love will find a way.
Just a Little Taste is book 3 in the Moments in Maplesville novella series by Farrah Rochon. This book continues the story of the girls of Maplesville in the same high style as the first two. The writing is excellent and the characters come alive as you read. It is almost impossible to put this book down as you want to find out what will happen between Kiera and Trey. Kiera Coleman is trying to get her food truck ready so she can expand her catering business. Hopefully, in time, she will be able to open her own restaurant. She is proud of what she has accomplished and wants to finish on her own; but her brother Mason keeps interfering in his misguided belief that he has to protect her. She has had to reluctantly borrow money from him but intends to pay him back with interest and with her friend Jada’s help he will take it. Jada is engaged to Mason but is always on Kiera’s side too. Now Kiera is setting out to meet with a contractor to renovate her truck into a food truck. She is uncertain because she has not seen his work on food trucks and renovations and because he is her old boyfriend, Trey Watson. Trey jumped at the chance to renovate Kiera’s food truck for two reasons. First was his desire to see her again and to help her out. Second was so he could come back to Maplesville and be near his twins, RJ and Rachel. They lived in Maplesville with their mother and step-father. Trey had just sold his portion of his business in Houston and was at the crossroads of his future. Now he just has to face Kiera and see if there was a possibility of a future for them. Will Trey finish the renovations in time for the festival and will he do a good job? What will happen when Trey and Kiera are around each other again?
Trey and Kiera are back together again. After 14 years of a severe miscommunication break down can these two destined souls find their way back to each other.
This is the third story set in Maplesville and boy oh boy was it smoking hot in the kitchen. Kiera is a chef with a passion for cooking up great food. Trey is a man who can work miracles with his hands by building things. When Kiera hires Trey to work on her truck she purchased to turn into an actual food truck so she can enter into the Louisiana Shrimp cook off, Kiera got much more than what she bargained for. As they say, the second time is better than the first and Trey was determined to win back the only woman who held his heart since he was a teenager.
Kiera tried to fight the inevitable but the heart will only pump for the beloved. I enjoyed reading the adventure and the fight for their right to not only be back together but finally being reunited with your missing half.
All of the books I have read by author Farrah Rochon have always been outstanding and I knew this story would follow suit.
Just a Little Taste is the third book in the Moments in Maplesville series and as always, Farrah Rochon delivered an excellent book. Keira and Trey were lovers 14 years ago and he just up and left her out of the blue. Now he is back in Maplesville and Keira needs him. We here from Jada and Callie and of course Mason who still irks my nerves in this book. I'm hoping that this is not the last of the series. I would love to catch up with everyone after they are all married.
This is the third book I’ve read in this series and I swear they keep getting better. Sexy as sin, Trey, had my Kindle on fire. The past he and Kiera shared had me wondering what happened between them. When I found out it made sense, and Trey no longer seemed like a jerk (sorry, no spoilers).
I love reading this book. Kiera and Trey's story is very relatable to everyday life between a couple. But if you truly love a person it doesn't matter how many years you been apart that love never dies. I definitely recommend this book.
Farrah Rochon writing about reunited lovers and Cajun food--what's not to like? It's a straightforward and fairly uncomplicated story, and the novella was just emotional enough and the characters crafted just sharply enough to be quite satisfying.
Wonderful book. I will probably read it again. It was nice to read a romantic story that did not involve millionaires. The characters were believable. Farrah did not disappoint.
A great addition to this wonderful series. I love Farrah Rochon's writing and she did not disappoint with this one. Glad all three friends found their happily after.
I'm loving the "Moments in Maplesville" series. Kiera is ready to control her own fate, without big brother Mason's help. When she needs a truck renovated who shows up but her ex, Trey. Rekindled feelings emerge and they have a second chance to get it right.
