Jena began writing in January of 2013 as a New Year's Resolution--and so far she has stuck to it!
She lives in Michigan. By day she works as a web developer, and at night she writes. Born and raised on a farm, she spends most of her free time outdoors, playing in the garden, or riding her horses. She also helps run the family dairy farm.
This is a fun, low-angst novella that crosses over the mafia world with the A/O world. Jeremy is the only omega in his mafia family. His three alpha brothers are very protective of him, but he's been away at school studying to be a lawyer with the goal to return to his family's business.
Felik is a half-brother in the Mennetti family. He didn't spend a lot of time with his brothers growing up, but now his older, sadistic brother has taken over the family. His brother is asking him to seduce and form a relationship with Jeremy, with the goal of kidnapping Jeremy to leverage control on the competing family.
Felik reluctantly agrees, but it doesn't take too long to determine that he will never betray or turn over Jeremy. Still, threats are all around and Felik is worried about what Jeremy and his family will think when the truth comes out. Despite the mafia storyline, this is mostly a light-hearted romance.
I will say that the entire book I thought the MC’s name was Felix but it was in fact Felik with a K so there’s that.
I liked both of the characters even if Felik had originally set out to seduce Jeremiah so they can use him against his family. He knew right away that he wasn’t going to do that because he really liked and then Jeremiah.
I wish there would have been more angst with Jeremiah finding out Felik had been using him at first though. I thought it was going to be this big emotional thing and I was actually looking forward to it but it didn’t happen. Jeremiah forgave him for it right away not even making him grovel. I mean obviously he was sorry and very much in love with Jeremiah but still.
So after that it was a little boring and anticlimactic. I will still continue the series though because these are quick little insta love novellas.
3.5/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

This was good! I felt it was a little short or maybe just a little too vague, as if it didn’t have the same amount of tail and depth that the first two books in the series had. Regardless it was still enjoyable with all the excitable drama and the dynamic of hidden identity involved. Also, the sex scenes are even less detailed than they usually are. Thankfully this isn’t really a book which needs them, I’m reading it for the romance development!
Honestly these books are just really enjoyable, like popping in a movie to wind down. I can’t wait for the next ones, each plot is right up my alley.
For a minor complaint, I am pretty sure babies aren’t able to be detected via ultrasound a week in. That caught me off guard a bit as a detail. I know omegaverse can sometimes ignore human gestation rules but everything else was the same otherwise.
This one just didn’t work for me, at all. Hopefully Orsino’s book will prove more entertaining, because this didn’t.
Was also confused omega dude had to go to the hospital, since they had the whole paternity ward set up in house in book 2, and it’s mentioned in the epilogue of this book… but I guess how else would the plot do the plot thing it needed to?
3.5 Surprisingly liked it, but it's a shame how almost everything seems to be about Joey and Andro, even though they already had their book. (I noticed this in the second book too, but I liked Connor/Lou and Jer/Felik too much to let it ruin it for me ig.)
This is a mafia omegaverse romance, the third book in a series that should be read in order. I rather liked this one in the series, it has an energy to it. I recommend if you like Omegaverse story lines!
I love this series. It's fast paced and so sweet. I love how the big bad alphas turn into softies with their omegas. Jeremiah and Felik are so sweet. I enjoyed their story.
Mafia, omegaverse, fast love, found family, it's a really fast read but, there is a plot. I've enjoyed the books I've read so far in this series, they are well written.
Once he found out the truth about me and my family, he’d hate me. I’d be lucky if I made it out alive. - Felik

My Notes: Short, sweet, and to the point. In a 100 page story, it’s hard to hit all the events with detail which stinks because this would be a really good full length series. Each of the stories are around 100 pages and very fast paced. The only Omega Ferrini brother finds love, but unknowingly with the enemy. After the truth comes out, Felik becomes part of the Ferrini family and the drama does not stop here. We have a heat scene, kidnapping, surprise ultrasound, someone being gunned down, and brother on brother violence. Everything was taken up a notch with this once, in a direction I liked. We’re still low on spice but we get a heat scene which is always nice. Vern is again just vibing. Might be my favorite side character TBH lol. This series is a nice little break for my brain to recuperate while reading more complex novels.
