Grace is desperate to stay hidden from evil, the evil that came into her life when she married serial killer Adam Locke and then discovered just how evil he was. But it isn’t her own safety that she is most concerned about; she and Adam have a young son named Liam, a precocious toddler worth whatever she has to do to protect him. This book pulled at my heart strings and raced from danger to danger for Grace, all coming from someone or something unknown. She has an ally in Rob Vaughan, a deputy with the local sheriff’s office in Lookout Mountain. Rob believes Grace when she says she is in danger and he is determined to protect her and Liam. I really enjoyed the portrayal of the characters, especially the fortitude and determination of Grace. And I especially enjoyed the rocket fast pace of the story as Grace reeled from one threat to another. There are plenty of red herrings, some real clues that a savvy reader can pick up on and lots of entertainment between the pages of this quick read.

I have yet to read a Debra Webb Book I didn't absolutely LOVE. This one is no different. I was biting my nails and on the edge of my seat the entire last half! This book is a must read for mystery and suspense lovers!

This story was enjoyable and at times had me on the edge of my seat! Character development was so good. I felt like I knew each one personally. I enjoyed how the writing style flowed. Unfortunately I guessed who did it and that’s why I gave four stars. Debra Webb is an excellent writer and I look forward to the next one in this series.

Thank you, Debra Webb, for my advanced copy of this book. This is a fast-paced mystery set at a rural mountain town Inn. The story revolves around Grace and her toddler son Liam. Grace's past is ctaching up to her, and she will do anything to protect her son from danger. She just has to figure out where the dnager is coming from and who she can really trust. A suspenseful mystery with a touch of romance will keep you reading and guessing until the end.

Holy smokes! This was a barn burner. My heart rate has been elevated for the past several hours reading this thriller. Grace Myers has finally found a place to call home where she feels safe with her son, Liam. She bought and renovated an old inn at Lookout Mountain. Grace escaped the clutches of a serial killer many years ago. A serial killer she also called her husband. One night she wakes up to find her son downstairs in the inn. He has seen a man outside. This causes her blood to run cold, but she knows he is in prison awaiting trial, or is he? After she finds a remnant that the stranger left behind, she is beyond scared. She changed everything, including her name and looks. She wanted to leave the past behind forever, but it seems the past has come back to haunt her and make her nightmares real again.
Deputy Rob Vaughan has admired Grace from afar. He would love to ask her out, but he realizes she has some giant walls around her heart. Now he finds out she is in grave danger, and he will stop at nothing to keep her and Liam safe.
The nerve shredding twists and turns will leave you breathless. I would think I had the mystery solved, and then boom another hole would get blown in my theory. This was an incredible ride of epic proportions. The fear was real and intense. Whew... now that my heart is settled back down, I can relax and share my love of this book with others.

A Place to Hide is the third book in the Lookout Mountain series by Debra Webb and Harlequin Intrigue. (Note: not necessary to read the books in order)
I have never been into mystery or suspense until I read one of Debra Webb’s books required in a book group and ever since, I have been hooked.
This book is face paced from the very first page. And don’t ya just hate when life gets in the way of such a great story?!?!?! Anyway, the characters in this book are STRONG! And by that I mean, strong in courage, and smarts and just flat out badass!
The trials and tribulations Grace Myers’s goes through are just phenomenal! I would not have survived. And her little boy Liam, brings the right amount of giggles. So cute!
The rest of the characters are perfectly written as well. And kept me guessing throughout the entire story. So much mystery. I will admit, I had to stop reading, and put this book down, before going to bed. I was seriously afraid of nightmares. (Yikes!)
If you enjoy Debra Webb, mysteries, suspense and a few laughs and a touch of spicy… you need to read this book!!

Debra Webb's third installment in the Lookout Mountain Series is another mystery I couldn't put down. These Harlequin Intrigues don't need to be read in order to enjoy the story.
Grace Myers is an innkeeper in Tennessee with her son Liam. The local deputy Vaughn has a slight interest in the newest addition to this small town (who is he kidding, he finds any excuse to be around this lovely lady).
He knows she is hiding something, but he thinks it must be due to her past. He is patient enough to wait for her to come around. After all, he thinks one of these days she will go out with him. Grace, on the other hand, has a secret she can't tell anyone even if she'd like to tell the deputy that puts a little bounce in her step. She needs to protect Liam and herself from a past that was once more dangerous than even she knew. Some pasts we can't outrun, and when the clues start to add up, Grace just might have to trust the handsome deputy in order to save her and her son.
Debra Webb knows how to draw you in from the very first page. Her characters make you want to join in the mystery. One thing for sure, this author keeps you guessing until the very last page. Highly recommend this read and any other book by this author.

Grace has the Inn on Lookout Mountain spiffed up and enjoying the work. She loves having something for her and her son Liam. One night things start happening though that has her scared and ready to run yet again.
Her son sees someone that has eyes like his and she knows she is about to have to fight for her and Liam's life. Luckily her friend Rob who is a deputy helps her out..
She relies on Cara and Diane to help her out too as they are so good to help with Liam..
There are bodies starting to pile up in the little town and it looks as she is being blamed..
This was a twisty turn of a story. I had suspicions of one person while reading but I still wasn't sure. I held my breath through the last bit of the book trying not to tell Grace to run for her life!

I couldn’t put it down !
Grace is running for someone from her past and starts a new life together with her son Liam hoping they will be safe.
When strange things are happening she is afraid the serial killer she escaped from has found her. Can she trust Deputy Rob Vaughn to keep her and Liam safe?
This book is fast paced, suspenseful and with twists and turns that keeps you guessing what’s happening.

You never know who is hiding in plain sight on Lookout Mountain and in this case we have the ex wife of a recently released serial killer who is intent on reclaiming his son. When bodies start to pile up and unexplained things start happening around her Grace isn’t so sure she’s not having a breakdown, again. But she has the sheriff’s deputy in charge of that part of the mountain on her side willing to do anything for her and her son. This is a thrilling ride, heavy on the suspense and light on the romance. I love this series and everything else the author puts out there!

But it seem what happens in the past always seems to find you.
Rob is a Deputy In Tennessee for there small town.
This book kept me in suspense and somethings I didn't think I make it to the end. I was on the edge of my seat.

Wow!!! If you have never read Debra Webb you are totally missing out. I have read everything she has ever written and they are all phenomenal!!! This newest book is another installment in the Lookout Mountain series. I love these even more since I have lived close to the locations in her books. This book has Grace and her son Liam running from a killer they have escaped from once but is after them again. Grace wants to trust the very attractive sheriff but secrets in Graces past make that impossible

Debra Webb’s A PLACE TO HIDE is another winner! It has great characters, mystery, romance and twists you won’t see coming. So get the book, curl up with a blanket and drink and be ready to join the lives of Grace an innkeeper, her young son Liam and Deputy Rob. Grace is not her real name however and she has secrets that keep her from giving in to the attraction she feel coming from Deputy Rob. Her secrets could put their lives in danger. So many twists you won’t see coming. A quick read and an excellent one!

Grace has changed her identity and fled with her young son from her husband. He is in jail charged with multiple murders, or is he. When her son sees a man outside the window of the lodge she is running Grace is afraid it might be him. There is suspense from the first part of the book. This book was so good was going threw a reading slump when i picked this up to read it sat and read it all in one setting. I think Grace and Rob are two of my favorite characters so far. What a mom wont do for their children and I need more from these characters cant wait for my next read! I highly recommend this book.

Good read. As an armchair detective,I began to be suspicious of Cara for some inexplicable reason. Diane was a surprise. At one point,I was even suspecting Det. Gibbons! Crazy women killers,ex husband serial killer...
Of course, that is what keeps us reading!

An excellent addition to this series! I absolutely loved the surprise twists at the end of the story! Grace and Rob are terrific characters and Liam gives the story the perfect tale. A wonderful story that will grab hold and never let up!!

This is a fast paced read. From page one until the end. Great suspense. I thought I had it figured out. Boy was I wrong. I couldn’t put this book down. It was such a great book. You must buy a copy and read it!! I love this authors books. She never disappoints.

Webb draws you in and keeps you guessing. The twist at the end took me by surprise and highlighted the diabolical plot Grace found herself ensnared in. A must read for anyone in need of a good mystery.

Debra Webb never disappoints. Murder mystery with lots of twists and turns. I did figure out a bit of it but not all. Thoroughly enjoyed. While this is part of a series, there is little connection and can easily be read stand alone.

I enjoyed reading this story ! I was drawn on from the beginning to find out what is happening how Grace and Rob deal with it. There are some twist and turns and the ending with who is doing it all is not who I thought it was. I highly recommend this book!
