This is a self-love journey out of the terrible corn maze that is an abusive relationship, written from the perspective of a woman who was in a relationship with a man. This combinations of posts, stories, and poems illustrates the shift in thinking and self-love during and after experiencing such a toxic love.
This is a complicated book to review but I highly recommend it anyway.
It's not a story, there's no narrative, no structured advice or things you might usually expect to get from a book - but instead, you find catharsis, shared understanding and companionship. Originally a series of essays, the sections are more like a series of thoughts that take us through the chaotic, confusing process of escaping an abusive relationship and attempting to find healing in the devastation.
It's a short read, but so compelling, healing, and heartbreakingly relatable.
