Sam and Tara have been in love with each other since Tara moved in next door to Sam and his family. Tara came from an emotionless family. There was no love in her home. Her parents did even want her. Her senior year of high school Tara finds out they are moving. Molly, Tara's best friend and Sam's younger sister goes home crying to her Mom about what's happening with Tara and having to move and suggestions are made that maybe Tara's parent would allow her to stay with Molly's family. Seemed Tara's parents were more then happy to allow Tara to stay behind to finish off her senior year.
Sam and Tara build a friendship after Tara returns after being gone 11 years after they slept together at a after graduation party. Tara takes off to explore the world and lands a great computer job until it goes belly up and brings her back home for Molly's wedding and finds her feelings for Sam are as strong as ever.
Do they have a chance at a happy romance or are Sam's feeling for Tara different after 11 years apart. A must read story. Couldn't put it down.
I loved this book! It held my attention throughout and I simply could not put it down until I completed it! I highly recommend this read.
Tara McFadden had a lousy childhood with parents who did what they wanted, never taking her into consideration. When they decided to move away the summer before her senior year in high school, her best friend's family, the Henderson's, asked her to move in with them and finish her high school education. Tara is now going back to the only place that ever truly felt like home to lick her wounds and regroup after the company she worked for went under. She did not expect to run into Sam Henderson, her best friends brother, the man she has never forgotten.
You will want to read this book and find out what happens when these two come face to face again. A breathtaking love story that you won't want to miss.
I liked the premise- and I even let pass the fact that 11 years is a long time(read and y'll know I what I mean. ^.~). However, I would like a lot more if teh sstory had taken a different turn. Everything goes too fast and all the marriage thing...I don't know but I din't like it. Oh, and author really repeats herself SEVERAL times. But, all in all, it is a nice read for a rainy Sunday. Cute.
It was all I could do to finish this book. The whole plot line just fell flat for me. LOTS of repetition. Graphic sex scenes between 2 people who are married, but plan to only stay together for a year, because they both love each other...does that make sense to anyone?!
Ms Minger is a new author to me. "Ever After" is the first of her books I have read. It is a very good story. I'm afraid that I empathized with Tara more than any other character. That's just me. I hope other romance readers take the time to try this story and any other book by Ms Minger. She's good!
Over all this was a decent book. The author did repeat herself multiples times which was a little annoying and I felt she didn't give enough background of Tara's character. Fell a little flat for me but it was a quick and easy read. I did feel it was a HUGE stretch to believe that a 15 year old boy looked at an 11 year old girl and instantly knew he wanted to be with her.
