I think it’s safe to say that I pretty much disliked Summer O’Sullivan at the beginning of this one. She’s a spoilt little rich girl, daughter of an airline magnate who now finds herself in danger. With the threat to her safety increasing and business taking him overseas, Summer’s father hires a series of bodyguards to watch over her, all of which Summer manages to dispense with by means of some pretty brattish behaviour. She’s spoilt, wilful, demanding, high maintenance, headstrong and a total brat and yet I actually grew to like her.

She meets her match in Flynn Grant, sinfully sexy ex-soldier who still works covert ops and is less than impressed to find himself babysitting a Paris Hilton wannabe. He takes the job under duress but, once he realises the threat to Summer is for real, whisks them both away to a croft in the wilds of Scotland with only the most basic of facilities where they spend their time becoming more intimately acquainted. Flynn is an experienced dom and Summer is curious about BDSM and wants to have a go at being submissive – the only problem is, there’s not a submissive bone in her body.

In the end, I did enjoy this one. There’s a lot of humour, it’s very sexy and I loved the brusque burly Flynn who will take absolutely no crap from Summer and won’t let her get away with anything. He sees beneath her brattish behaviour to see a girl who’s only had love and affection shown to her by way of expensive gifts and he slowly begins to admire her willingness to explore her submissive side, her loyalty, her vulnerability, her sensuality and her big heart.

Flynn is fiercely alpha, sexy as all get out, very protective and a little exasperated with Summer and it was fun to watch how they screamed at each other like a pair of angry cats as they constantly fell out and made up with angry sex! To be fair, there’s a highly implausible suspense plot with danger seemingly coming at them from all angles but it was a lot of fun, a bit of a romp. I did find the sex scenes very erotic as Flynn slowly taught Summer the beauty and grace of submission.

Jack and Abbie from The Pleasures of Winter get a mention in passing but we don’t see them.

Great fun, sexy BDSM romance.

Review originally posted as a Double review along with A Touch of Summer on the main blog: http://totally-bookalicious.blogspot....

Ah, Oh, Ah, OMG! Damn You Evie Hunter! Are you trying to kill me?? What a freaking read!! I love love love love every single second of this steamy, exciting and thrilling read!! You all know how much I loved the first book "The Pleasures of Winter" and I didn't think I would enjoy this as much just because "Winter" was just perfect but.......The amazing Irish writing duo have did it again!! I was hooked from page one and left breathless by the end.

The Pleasure of Summer is about Summer, the daughter of a airline owner. She loves to party with friends and is in the papers a lot but her life is in danger from enemies of her father and this leads her father hiring a bodyguard to protect her and keep her out of trouble. Enter Flynn, half Irish, half Scot, ex Irish Ranger and hot as hell. They can't stand each other but soon sparks fly and they learn secrets about each other that shocks them both all the while trying to keep Summer safe.

To say I loved this is actually an understandment!! It blew my mind!! And my Heart! I loved everything about this book. The story starts out on such an high point, thrilling and action packed from the get go. The authors, don't rush into their sex scenes they set up a story and get the readers engrossed and the sex scenes come later but they are clevely done and fit nicely into the story. The characters are believable and the chemistry between them is so natural. There is nothing worse than reading a book and the relationships seem forced. Summer comes across as the typical party girl, spoilt rich brat but as her character develops we learn about her past relationships and I grew to love her. Flynn, Oh My....Can I have him? Flynn, is a hot. He is rough around the edges, has a bad boy appeal to him. But he is a tough, strong and will do anything to protect to Summer even if it means putting his own life in danger.

To tell you about how much I loved the story without giving away spoilers is near impossible. All I have to say is it was marvelous. I always worry when two authors come together to write books because sometimes it doesn't flow very well. However, Caroline McCall and Eileen Gormley have nailed it. If I didn't know it was by two author I would never have guessed. They have created yet another flawless read that has a perfect mix of romance, action and down steamy scenes that will make you blush (especially if you are reading on a bus haha)

The Pleasures of Summer is a book that will capture your very being. You will fall in love with the characters, get caught up in the story that you will forget everything around you. I highly recommend "The Pleasures" series to anyone who loves a good erotica read that has depth. You don't have to read these in order as they have different characters in them But I do recommend reading "The Pleasures of Winter" just because it is one of my favourite books. And I did a little happy dance and squeal in excitement when Jack Winters in mentioned in this one. lol.

So please give this a book a try. I urge you all to go get yourself a copy. It is outstanding!

Cover Talk:
Well just how pretty is that cover. Once you read the book you will understand and see how it fits perfectly!!! I am honestly more attracted to darker covers so this in instant win for me. The simplicity of this cover speaks volumes and yes, a lot of people are using this sort of design idea but in this case it works

I've previously read the next in the series about Autumn and preferred it. Maybe the characters suited me better; maybe the authors have got better as they progressed. I did mainly enjoy this as a light read and it certainly livened up my commute.

Here we have a few stereotyped characters, to wit: a grumpy Irish airline owner; his beautiful daughter who has a degree but lives as a socialite; an ex-military close protection agent. Actually close protection isn't mentioned, the easy route of calling him a bodyguard is used. Other than the agency men, we meet no decent male characters as all men are flawed and undesirable.

Summer our heroine is behaving childishly for a lot of the time but does have depth and prides herself on being able to gut and cook fish. Her guard Flynn has racked up some worrying injuries already and when he decides to take Summer out of London for a month in a remote Scots croft, it does seem to me that he was looking for a quiet life and a way to have plentiful alone time with the girl who has begun to be curious about bondage. Despite telling himself that a bodyguard doesn't have sex with the principal.

We see a night in a fetish club in London through the worried Summer's eyes, which is well described so it comes across as freaky. Then, this book being written to capitalise on the theme, the bodyguard starts tying up the girl and giving her sexual experiences, after we've had the obligatory man in shower scene and more. There is no other action for the majority of the book but there is a suspenseful part at the end. Good girl Summer for putting a self defence lesson to good use.

If a man beats a woman - that is what spanking is, ladies - then I want a scene where the woman beats the man and he has to like it. Turn about is fair play and a man who won't allow this is a bully plain and simple. No matter that he's prepared to get hurt saving her from other harm.

The jumps caused by the dual authors were visible and broke the flow. For instance Summer is taken aside by a woman in one room while a younger woman says something to Flynn in another room. Yet the next day, Summer knows what was said to Flynn, with no explanation. There is a misquote where 'spoilt brat' becomes 'spoilt b**ch' in Summer's head. Flynn makes a major effort to save Summer from harm and is hospitalised and interviewed by police, yet when Summer sees him next she goes straight into seduction mode without as much as a thank you or asking how he is or if he's in trouble. The British police would not be polite to a gunman. They would immediately yell at him to put the gun down and get flat on the ground, now. And where did the gun go? It vanishes. This is not a minor issue. Crime books would hinge on such a point.

Jumps also occurred within a scene, such as a lengthy seduction when the girl is naked and realises that they have no condoms, so she picks up the phone to call room service, then is instantly applying said item - what, did she open the door undressed? I mention this issue because the book has been through the editing process of a major publisher.

Overall the tying up bit does nothing for me and several times I wished they would get on with the story. But the descriptions are good and if you are looking for some adult entertainment you could do a lot worse.

Disclaimer; I have met the two authors, but I bought the book in the normal way.

Firstly, I have to say that The Pleasures of Winter was one of my favorite books of 2012. I loved Jack and Abbie and was looking forward to another taste of Jack. So when I read the blurb for The Pleasures of Summer and realized that it had a different hero, I wasn’t expecting to like it as much.

I was totally wrong. Ms Hunter has done it again. Talk about a page turner.

I started to read this book in bed one night and fell asleep reading it. The following morning I picked it up again and couldn’t stop reading until I finished it. This is more than just a love story. The sexy scenes are HOT and the hero is half-Irish and half Scots. What more could a girl ask for?

Summer O’Sullivan is a spoilt princess with a rich airline-owning daddy. She spends her life shopping, partying and generally having a good time, until one night, she acquires a stalker. With her life in danger, her father insists that she have a bodyguard. When this cramps her style, she manages to get rid of every one of them - until she meets Flynn Grant.

Protecting a society brat isn’t the type of job he’s used to and at times I wanted to slap Summer because she was so willful. Despite everything, Flynn is patient and honorable. He’s more of a soldier and an action man than a bodyguard, but he’s ready for every trick that Summer throws at him.

When Flynn sets down the ground rules for her behavior, Summer delights in breaking every single one of them. But when she defies him once too often and slips away to visit a fetish club, the consequences are pretty spectacular.

Flynn drags her away from her London mansion to a remote cabin in the highlands of Scotland and then the sparks really fly. This tension between this pair is almost touchable. Flynn is determined to teach her a lesson, but ends up finding out that there is a lot more to Summer than he thought. Behind the spoilt princess is a vulnerable woman with a mind of her own. She challenges him more than any woman he has ever met and he falls for her – hard. But he also has had his own share of heartbreak and when these two finally give into their feelings and get together, you know that they are made for each other.

Until fate gets in the way and drives them apart.

Flynn and Summer have so many obstacles in front of them that you wonder if they will ever find their way home and Ms Hunter keeps you guessing right up to the finale.

I won’t spoil the ending but I will say that if I ever got into trouble, Flynn Grant is the man I want to come and find me.

I can’t wait for the next book.

I received an Arc copy of this book and let me just say I finished the whole thing in a day. I was a little worried because I loved Pleasures of winter so much I had high hopes for this book an Evie Hunter lived up to that standard.

The story line is rich and wonderful. you have the typical rich spoilt Brat and a super hottie. The story is based around Summer you is spoilt and gets everything she wants and always gets her way until her new security guard Flynn arrives and starts to put her in line. The book had many funny components and I loved the operation to get rid of all her guards. The book was hot and steamy and an amazing read and the chemistry between Summer and Flynn was never lacking.

Summer is a princess she gets everything she wants and has a huge social circle of friends. What I like even though she is a brat for most of the book I like that there is more to her than meets the eye. Most people think she is an airhead party animal but as we go through the book we find that she is a lot more deep then that. She is a very challenging women and is always keeping Flynn on his feet. What I love most is that she spends very little time in the book deciding weather she loves Flynn or not. She knows what she wants and Flynn is willing to give it too her.

Now there is Flynn. he is a super hot, sexy, powerful, strong willed character. He is dark, dangerous and sexy as hell and there is really not much to say about him. I found I enjoyed how he handled and taught Summer her discipline, defence and what she enjoys sexually. He is the perfect guy rolled into one package plus he is scot. yumm.

The story line never failed me and had me reading for more. I enjoyed reading through Summer and Flynn's story and I loved there character development and found that both characters grew heaps. I can not wait to read you next book.

So, I loved The Pleasures of Winter so much that when I received this second installment, I dove right into it! There is still plenty of S-E-X, but the storyline is different than the first with different characters.

Summer’s father has hired a body guard to watch over her while he is out of town. She had done everything in her power to get rid of each of them. Which was hilarious by the way! Her plan is a success until she meets Flynn and he will not back down.

Flynn hates that he has to be assigned to Summer. He views her as a spoiled princess that never had to work a day in her life. He is just recovering from a recent accident and once he is fully recovered, he can move onto the assignments that he likes. This one is only temporary, how hard could it be?

I loved the fact that Summer kept trying to give Flynn the slip! She made him work for his money! lol!

They were going along fine until Summer decides to visit a BDSM club with her friend. It was all down hill from there. Flynn decides that if she wants BDSM, he is damn sure going to give it to her! *yummy*

The relationship between the two of them at times tended to be frustrating!!! I swear that communication is the key to a relationship and sometimes, these two had none! That is exactly what makes this book so real to me. The fact that each of them was terrified to share their true feelings with each other which tends to happen often in real life, not just in stories.

The makeup sex was HOT!!!It made me wish there was more book when I was finished reading:( I am soooo looking forward to The Pleasures of Autumn which will be out in October!!!

Evie Hunter has turned up the notch of "Kinky Fuckery"... For all those 50 Shade fans This book is not to be passed up! Being the avid reader that I am The Pleasures of Summer was a Hot sensual sequel to The Pleasures of Winter. Lets say you have read Mountain Masters Series and you are looking for more, this is the place to start.

Summer spoiled to the point of almost rottin O'Sullivan, has time and again bitten off more than she can chew. Designer clothes and partying all night still leaves her bitterly alone. Her world seems great until another threat on her life slaps her back to reality.
In comes 1/2 Scottish..lol
Flynn Grant, who better to guard her body than him? Flynn is C4's best friend. If Summer needs someone to keep her inline Flynn will happily "toe the line". The chemistry just sizzles off the pages. Summer's tenacity mixed with not really knowing what the hell she really wants makes her kinda a bitch...lol Take away the Money and Necessities Summer thinks she can't live without...Essentially stripping her bare. Now add a Dominate sexually prowess man, and a remote location and she just may come out of this a woman worth taking a bullet for.

These hot D/s books are Entertaining and well rounded. Meaning there is so much more going on emotionally then the hot one on one time. The struggle with your own self doubt, and being comfortable with who you really are and not what you think people want you to be all come to play here as well.

The Pleasure of Summer is another classical Rich Girl / Bodyguard romance with criminal mystery twist. It was a good entertaining reading at the beginning but at some point things started to go jumpy and then it really showed, that it's written by two people and one did not know what other did and nobody reread what was put together. Yes the main story does not change, but there are unexpected time jumps, things happen outside of pages but they are referred as if we read couple of pages about the things.

But still, I did like the story, since the relationship and romance between Summer and Flynn was entertaining and hot. But I did not like how often and swiftly they changed their moods from love to hate and then back to love again. There where also some characters I did not understand, why where they there, why they did the things they did. Where they included just for filling the page or did they have a bigger meaning that I just did not get, but their presence and actions are mystery for me, since they did not give anything to the story.

What I'm trying to say is, that it was a good erotic D/s romance story, with witty jokes and lovable characters, but try as I might I can not go around those hiccups that spoiled the big picture a bit, but if you are willing to go with it, you'll love the story.

Well Done Evie Hunter another amazing read from you they just get hotter and hotter, loved everything about this book great story, great characters, funny and some steamy sex scenes.

Flynn is employed by Summer’s father as her bodyguard, she certainly isn’t happy about this and creates as much trouble as possible. After a threat against her life Flynn takes her to Scotland to try and protect her where she is still a pain in the arse and tries to escape more than once.

He learns that she is curious about kink, so decides as a starter that spanking can be used as punishment. He rewards her good behaviour with lessons on her fantasies and boy oh boy are these scenes hotter than hot. As a reader you can see the chemistry that is building between the two of them, they share some the fact that he would do anything to protect her life.

Flynn is called away on another rescue mission and Summer escapes from her new bodyguard, she is then abducted and held hostage. On Flynn’s return he is furious that the other bodyguard has put her in danger, after a nail biting rescue of Summer they eventually end up together.

Loved Flynn with all his dominance and I have to say I will never take another Alka-Seltzer again without thinking of Summer and Flynn.
5* plus read in a day.

The Pleasures of Summer is a must read for those who like to take a walk on the wild side. This is a sexy, no-holds-barred read all wrapped up in a thrilling adventure.

Summer is a strong-willed, spoilt heiress with a penchant for finding trouble, and Flynn is her brooding bodyguard with a dangerous edge and a dark past.

The fun begins when Summer uses every trick in the book to try to get Flynn fired, so she can escape the confines of her protected world and visit a forbidden fetish club. But with Flynn, she’s finally met her match. When it comes to forbidden, he’s a master of it.

This is an excitingly written story that will keep you on the edge of your seat and hot under the collar.

Piacere sonnacchioso

:DD

Summer O’Sullivan. It is a name and face most people know from the scandalous headlines in the tabloids. With one broken engagement behind her, the daughter of a self-made and very rich airline owner is known for her outrageous exploits and scandalous adventures. But, it would appear that she is in danger and when her father has to travel from London to America for a month and Summer refuses to spend that time with her grandmother in Ireland, he decides to hire a body-guard to keep her safe. To say that Summer is less than impressed with this idea would be an understatement and she manages to get rid of several hired minders within little or no time.

Enter Flynn Grant, a former Army Ranger with little patience for spoiled little rich girls. Summer’s tricks won’t work with him. He may not like the job, but since he has been hired to keep this girl safe that is exactly what he will do. And what is more, he will do it on his terms; Summer will just have to get used to following orders.

Unsurprisingly it is a major culture clash when these two characters meet, but despite the anger and exasperation they ignite in each other there is no denying the attraction between Summer and Flynn. When Summer goes a bit too far while satisfying her curiosity it is only Flynn’s timely arrival that prevents her from ending up in a situation she was completely unprepared for. Flynn however is furious and this anger combined with the attraction he has been feeling leads to a night that more than answers Summer’s curious questions and gives them both something to think about.

A month in a remote Scottish hiding-place takes Summer completely out of her comfort-zone and gives both her and Flynn the opportunity to discover sides of each other that they never expected. Flynn may be on a mission and getting intimate with his principle may be against all his rules but when the attraction is this strong and the location this isolated it is almost impossible not to give in to the sexual tension.

When the threat against Summer finally catches up with her it will take a heroic effort from Flynn as well as everything she has learned in her month in the middle of nowhere to ensure her survival. But even that may not be enough to ensure their happily ever after.

I enjoyed this book. It is well written and Summer and Flynn are exciting characters to read about. Not to mention that the attraction between them and the way they handle it make this one steamy read. But, this is much more than a work of erotic fiction. There is a real sense of danger all through this story. The erotic scenes alternate nicely with those that explore the rest of Summer and Flynn’s relationship and the thriller-like aspects of this book.

I liked that there was so much more to Summer’s character than the flighty, spoiled young heiress we meet in the first few chapters. It was wonderful to see her grow into herself and really develop. Flynn goes through some changes as well, although his are less pronounced. I also enjoyed the brief reference to Jack Winter and Abbie Marshall from “The Pleasures of Winter”. Although these books are definitely stand-alone stories the mention of Jack and Abbie’s upcoming wedding brings a little bit of continuity to this series of books without creating the need to read them in order.

And this is one hot read. With Flynn being a Dominant with a lot of experience when it comes to BDSM and Summer being curious about the life-style, there is a lot of room for a good dose of steamy action. As it is I would call this BDSM-light. There is some bondage and quite a bit of spanking but it never gets so heavy that it might leave the reader uncomfortable. Having said that, I have to admit that I was both surprised and intrigued by the alternative uses that were found for both Alka-Seltzer and tiger balm in this story. Who knew?

There were a few things in this book I was less than charmed with. First of all, I had the identity of the threat to Summer identified as soon as they made their first appearance in the story. Also, I did get a bit fed up with the way in which both Summer and Flynn kept on going backwards and forwards as far as their feelings were concerned. And finally, I wasn’t convinced that this book needed the addition of Flynn’s former submissive and her upcoming marriage to his brother. Having said that, these were minor issues for me and didn’t stop me from thoroughly enjoying this book. Because this is a fun, tension filled and a very sexy romance, sure to give its reader hours of entertainment.

Summer O’Sullivan was born to the life of the rich and powerful. She is the beautiful only child of a wealthy business owner who has made some vicious enemies who have threatened Summer’s life. Money is no object, so hiring a bodyguard to protect her isn’t the problem, Summer is. With the creativity of a very intelligent woman with too little meaningful activities to occupy her mind, she makes a game of scaring off each and every man her father hires, until former ranger Flynn Grant arrives in all of his alpha-male glory. Sparks fly immediately, and not in a good way, as Flynn’s demands and rules regarding Summer’s life begin to cramp her social style. It becomes a tug of war in the balance of power between them, neither willing to give an inch, both attempting to control and outwit the other. Summer is determined to win and attempts to sneak out with friends to experience the thrill of a sex club. Too bad she had her cell with her and Flynn arrives in time to “rescue” her from herself and who knows who else, on the end of a leash! From here on in, grab your fans and your smelling salts, you’re going to need them as these two play with fire and their hearts in a world full of deceit and danger as the threats are made good and Summer’s life is truly on the line. Has Flynn lost his perspective, his professional edge with the pampered princess? Is there more to Summer than meets the eye? When two powerful forces collide, is it possible for both to be winners in the final outcome or will they burn out the flame they have ignited?

The Pleasures of Summer by Evie Hunter is NOT just an erotic romp through the world of the Dom/Sub relationship, there is a plot-honest, and it’s a good one, filled with tension, danger and a kidnapping or two. Summer and Flynn are both well-developed (very-had to say that), dimensional (very-had to say that, again) and their bickering and bantering back and forth is actually chuckle-worthy at times!

I received a copy of The Pleasures of Summer from NetGalley and Penguin in exchange for my honest review.

Firstly I’d like to thank the publishers Penguin Ireland for sending me this book to read and give an honest review. I previously read and reviewed The Pleasures of Winter and A Touch of Winter both of which I really enjoyed so I was definitely looking forward to reading this one.

The prologue was tense and full of action, it set the scene well – I was immediately thinking of questions: Who was the guy in the van? Why was he after Summer? What happened next? It was clear even from that point that I would be hooked by this storyline!

Six months later and Summer was still facing security issues so her father put his foot down and demanded that she have a bodyguard. I had a bit of a chuckle as Summer proceeded to get rid of a string of bodyguards one by one using some very sneaky tactics. Then came the sexy and powerful Flynn, someone who was not going to be quite so easy to get rid of.

I have to admit that I wasn’t too sure about Summer to begin with, she seemed too spoilt and manipulative for my liking – I just couldn’t relate to any side of her at the start. I soon realised though that her attitude and rebellious streak was mostly a front put on for other people’s benefit and inside she wasn’t half as confident. Her initial curiosity into the world of Doms and Subs got her into a dangerous situation which put her off a bit but not completely, it was obviously a desire that was deep-rooted so I knew it wouldn’t be long before the issue came up again.

I absolutely loved the feisty chemistry and battles for power between Summer and Flynn, they were definitely well matched and this made their time together fun to read (they were very entertaining and I found myself laughing quite a few times when they clashed).

The writing style was captivating, it drew me in so that it felt like I was part of the book too. These authors certainly know how to write good erotic fiction because once again the sexual parts were sizzling hot but I didn’t feel like they overwhelmed the actual storyline – this is important to me when reading this genre, it has to be about more than just the sex!

I was utterly gripped by the action-packed events leading up to the end, it was so exciting and really got my heart pounding. This will be added to my one-day read list because I just couldn’t put it down and I can easily say that Evie Hunter’s books are so much better than the Fifty Shades series thanks to the fantastic storylines and wonderful characters.

Warning: The Pleasures of Summer contained strong language and sexual scenes so if you are likely to be offended by this then it probably isn’t a book for you.

This was another sizzling read with an exciting, dangerous twist – I would definitely recommend it!

Summer is Ireland’s Paris Hilton. She’s a rich girl making it easy for the paparazzi to pounce on her every move. She has a reputation for being a party girl and when her life is threatened her father hires a bodyguard.

Flynn is a no nonsense type of guy and he can see through Summer’s plots and schemes pretty easily. And when he begins to uncover another side of her that is nothing like her tabloid persona, he becomes ensnared in fantasy. Some of that fantasy touches on the dom/sub relationship.

I loved The Pleasures of Winter and A Touch of Winter, so I was really looking forward to this one. While this one didn’t wow me like the first two, I still found it a seriously pleasurable read. My only minor gripe is with Summer’s personality. Sometimes I couldn’t tell if she was an adult or a teenager because quite often she was too bratty and immature for words. Flynn should have spanked her at least 3 times daily because believe you me she had it coming!

This book had a little mystery written in with all the sexing and I enjoyed that aspect very much. Flynn is another swoon worthy lead male and I would give my left leg to be stranded in that Scottish cottage with him. *fans self* He’s too yummy for words!

I love the writing team that makes up Evie Hunter, they truly are talented. I am seriously excited to read The Pleasures of Autumn in October, 2013; I’m addicted to their erotica!

I have to say I really enjoy this series. While this is another in the erotica BDSM D/s series this story is so much more. It honestly is engrossing. The sex scenes are good do not get me wrong but there is just so much more that makes this story so interesting.

The characters of Summer and Flynn have an immediate connection. She seems to be the spoiled rich girl but Flynn sees more in her. And while I can say there was a very good chance that the character of Summer could have been written to be obnoxious she really wasn’t. And Flynn is an interesting in his own right. He knows what he is doing by seducing his client is wrong but there is just something that he can not turn away from.

If you are a fan of the genre then this series is certainly for you. I would say to read the first in the series first but it does not matter as this book can most definitely stand alone. However I will say to read the first one because you do not want to miss it as a fan of the genre.

This was a great read and as much as I liked The Pleasures of Winter, I found this a much better story with characters who were much more likeable. One of the things I love about these books is how the lead characters don't have dark tortured pasts, yet they still have secrets and personal pain.

I warmed easily to both Summer and Flynn. He's sexy, full of fire and wit and is dominant and protective. As a Soldier, he is always cool, calm and collected, however his latest mission tests his resolve to the max. Summer. Daughter of a wealthy airline owner, she's the proverbial spoilt only child and she has a stalker. Feisty, strong-willed and stubborn she resents having a bodyguard. Particularly one who is dominant and bossy...in more ways than one.

Scratch the surface and both Flynn and Summer are deep, interesting chracters. It is well written, flows wells and their stubborn argumentative banter and disagreements lead to some very hot action. The Dom/Sub aspect isn't over the top or shocking and befits the storyline perfectly. With twists, surprises and some action heading towards the finish line, it was a book I couldn't put down.

A great read that I would definitely recommend.

Zpovykana zbohatlicka dcerunka Summer dostane bodyguarda. Jaky to krasny hepac!

**received for an honest review**

Having previously read and loved The Pleasures of Winter, I was super excited to recieve an ARC of this one. In the beginning it was kinda slow-going for me. Summer O'Sullivan bugged the bloody crap out of me....the authors did a fantastic job of making her unlikeable at first but by about 50-60% I was totally rooting for her. What a complex character. And Flynn. OMG Flynn. Guh. Also, it must be said that the sex in this one was spot on. Quite hot and steamy. And the light BDSM, just perfect for a newbie like Summer.

4.5 stars :) Really really love this series. Bring on The Pleasures of Autumn (Pleasures, #3) by Evie Hunter !!

Loved it an awesome book hence the 5 stars
It was written with such emotion and intensity but it was a welcome read as it didn't centre around the sex...although the intimate scenes were written with the up most sense of passion a few we're very erotic too but sensual at the same time.
I enjoyed the emotion between Flynn and Summer was very intense at points ...but it really was a book about these 2 people working out and through there pasts that they where really deserved a chance together..it was learning that whatever came they way any obstacle they could over come and at the end of the day love didn't amount to any money
It was a truely felt love story about being happy with the person you are so u can truely love the special person in your life
Loved the epilogue to ..did make me shed a tear
Can not wait til October and the instalment of Autumn :)

I liked the pleasures of Winter, but this one..I love it!
At the beginning I didn't really like Summer, a spoilt rich brat, but after everything she's gone through and seeing the way she changed while staying with Flynn, the bodyguard, I started to like her, especially after Lorna made her appearance.
Flynn of course is hot, but at the beginning is so controlled and it's a little unnerving, but when he lets go, well, you couldn't but love him.
I loved the way he cared for her, tried to save her and do what is right for her even if it means that he has to stay away.
The end was really romantic and I thought it was really cute the way Flynn, always so sur of himself, was nervous about Summer's answer.

Loved this book it had everything I love in a good, steamy romance. Hot alpha ex military...check, Snarky hot-headed love interest... check, Hot Banging Wall Sex... Check, Sexy Scottish accent... Check! My only gripe was towards the end of the book the hero does some really shitty things, and breaks her heart. What does she do? Ummm just takes him back BOTH times without even bringing it up. She was a fighter the whole book then, when he hurts her she just takes it? Her reactions (or lack of) just didn't go with her personality. Worst of all he never apologizes, SHE chases him, and it just gets wrapped up nicely with a bow. Would have been five stars but that just irked me.

Fantastic Book! i loved this book. Both characters were so head strong but with a sensibility.
Hands up for Flynn and Summer!! All my reading O was hoping that this book would be endless I didnt want to come to an end. I laughed and was excited the story was good, very good. Dangerously, lovely, warm, bickering, sexy!!
If I had to choose between Pleasures of Winter and Pleasures of Summer... I'm going to say the latter. Thee were more emotions in both side and I found their fighting funny and sexy.

This book is MAGICAL! The beginning seemed a bit superficial and I didn't quite enjoy the version of Summer portrayed in the first part of the book, but after I have to say I devoured it page after page. Delicious, heart mealting, sensual, a love story that captivates you and makes you dream with your eyes wide open. I enjoyed this a thousand times more than Fifthy shades or the crossfire series. Highly recommend this book to female readers, just made my holiday better.
