Madison Jacobs, a mother of three and a devoted book enthusiast, embarked on her journey as a published author in 2023. Inspired by literary greats such as Bram Stoker, J.R. Ward, and so many more, Madison's writing is a reflection of her enduring passion for literature. Hailing from a quaint Midwestern town, she draws inspiration from the simplicity of life and the deep bonds of family (including her fur family). Her debut novel, 'Redemption,' is a testament to her love for the written word and her skill in creating captivating tales that touch the hearts of readers.
Could not put this book down! I immediately downloaded Redemption on KU after seeing a TikTok posted by the author and I am SO glad that I did. The storyline and characters are very well built, it was easy to get swept up and made to feel like I was in the book. And the tension buildup between Jenna and Zakai was immaculate, it made me giggle and smile and scream and cry (sometime all at the same time!). For me personally, the telltale sign of a great book is when it fully grips me in the feels and takes me on a rollercoaster of emotions, and Redemption was incredibly successful at accomplishing this. I am very impressed with this author’s debut novel and I am so excited to read more from Madison Jacobs in the future!
Ok I’m off to wander a corn field in the hopes of getting beamed up by Zakai now, bye!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed reading this book, it kept me engaged and captivated. It was somewhat of a slow burn but the sexual tension between the characters was very nicely done and it had good spice.
I liked the chemistry between the characters, the internal struggles and all the external challenges they had to overcome for the HEA.
I would have liked for the SciFi aspect of it to be better thought out and put together. There were some inconsistencies, inaccuracies and things that didn’t make much sense in the context of the story as it was set out. All of this irked me a bit, but apart from that I liked the story and I found it to be a very nice debut.
We meet Jenna, a very witty and sarcastic FMC who has been talked into getting out there, and have some fun. Who would have thought that would land her getting kidnapped twice!
Don't worry though, the second kidnapping is more of a happy accident that's out of this world (budam tis).
This is, for sure, a book you'll want to pick up for yourself. It's fun, spicy, and full of redeeming undertones that will make you look at humanity with a little more love.
This is such an amazing read! The chemistry between zakai and Jenna is amazing. The writing is amazing and the author is so sweet! Can’t wait for her next book!!
This book is a different genre than I normally read as I'm not normally a scifi person, but this book checked all the boxes for me! Suspense, romance, and humor! Let's just say I'm craving some Strawberry Cheesecake now! Its Mandolorian meets The Ugly Truth with a twist! It kept me enthralled throughout the entire book. Madison Jacobs definitely makes you want more!
