possibly my least favorite Anna Blakley
I excitedly wait for each of this author’s books to come out and this was no different. Unfortunately, it ticked several of my pet peeves in this genre:
1) there’s a difference between sassy and stupid. The FMC was the latter. Taking on a violent human trafficking ring with zero experience, a ridiculous amount of naïveté, and not thinking through a plan or heeding people who know better is not sassy. At all.
2) “I can take care of myself” is a line that makes me want to DNF these books because, invariably, the FMC goes on to prove that she’s TSTL and cannot, indeed, “take care of herself.” At all.
3) who edits these things??? Marie Delgado became Maria Sanchez? Come on. Anna—if you ever read this, I’m an amazing copy editor.
4) elementary school teachers do not get weeks of vacation (that’s what summer break is for)…nor is it ever OK to abandon your class for prolonged periods of time, except for a personal health emergency. Rarely even do “family” emergencies get this kind of consideration.
5) elementary school teachers also do not make enough money to hire expensive P.I.s and cover hotel rooms and rental cars for long periods of time, much less pay off mortgages, their school loans, and huge medical debts. Even if she was the best, small market stripper ever.
6) are we really going to gloss over how exactly Rose and Scarlett are sisters??
7) compared to her other stories, this was just painfully anticlimactic throughout. Rose magically showing up? Just no.
8) and, as with the other stories in the series, these alpha protector men who are supposedly so good at their jobs consistently show they aren’t that smart or good at their jobs.

Full of action of some kind, great characters some of them I already loved from previous books in the series, but Scarlet was new and so easy to like. Finding she had a half sister was a surprise then to find she was reported missing was a shock, determined to do whatever she can to find Rose safe she enlists help. Olly is already searching for his best friend but very little in the way of clues are found. Lots of suspense and worry in this gripping story, dramatic twists and edgy scenes as well as the heated chemistry and steam. I read this in a few hours so that says a lot about how much I enjoyed it, fairly fast paced it was exciting and emotional. Olly has a past that doesn't put him in good light but he was protecting the only family he had left and really it should never have gone as far, now he feels unworthy of love, he is kind and protective, loving and so vulnerable. Scarlet is sassy, independent and loving. Very strong and capable. This has all the elements to absolutely love in a suspenseful romance and it has a HEA.

It's always a bit bittersweet to come to the end of a series but Marked for Vengeance does a good job of wrapping things up. Scarlett Hathaway took a DNA test on a lark never expecting to find a half sister out there in the world. Her search leads her to Denver and Oliver Garcia. It happens that Scarlett's half sister is not only Olly's friend but she has been missing for several months. Olly doesn't quite trust Scarlett's story but the more he looks into it and gets to know her, he is drawn to her. Olly and Scarlett have an idea of what happened to Rose, Scarlett's missing sister and together they plan to do everything they can to get to her. Between a trafficking ring, mistrusts and untimely attraction, will these two be able to get to Rose before her time in captivity runs out? Read Marked for Vengeance to find the answers to everything. It was told from dual POV and has plenty of grit, twists, heat and heart.

Ok! This was a great story. This one is about Oliver and Scarlett. The story begins with Rose being kidnapped. Oliver is looking for her; meanwhile, Scarlett finds out that Rose is her sister. When Oliver and Scarlett meet, it was definitely an unusual situation - Scarlett gets licked out of her hotel room in only a towel and Oliver looks for her on her floor. It was a bit funny how they met but soon they start looking for clues into Rose's disappearance. Love definitely blooms as both continue to look for Rose. The surprise was that Rose actually saved herself - thankfully. The trio then set forth to bring down the trafficking ring. The ending was dramatic as Scarlett also helped save herself when she was kidnapped but Oliver was there also to save her. So happy the bad guys were taken care of and this couple found their happy ending. FANTASTIC job Anna! I would recommend this book!

She is so much more than he expected!
I love that Scarlett keeps Olly on his toes, very few of her reactions are what he expects and she has a number of hidden talents that surprise him! But as much as I liked their story, there was little of it that took place in Denver, which meant that we see less of the rest of the amazing characters from this series, this in turn made this book feel like it was missing something compared to the other books in the series. The "family" interfering, verbally sparring and "assisting" is part of what makes this series a favourite and keeps us coming back for me, so I was a little disappointed that we didn't get that.
This was the last book in the series, which makes me sad, but I am sure Ms Blakely will have another fantastic new series to replace it soon. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Scarlett was devastated Rose had been missing for months but was determined to find her. The PI Scarlett hired told her Rose was close to Oliver “Olly” Garcia, so Scarlett got in touch. Olly had also been looking but didn’t make progress until he and Scarlett partnered. They found Rose’s last location but she was gone when they got there.
Waitress Rose had been coerced into the outskirts of her former employer’s sex-trafficking primary enterprise. Enough information had been gathered to demolish the kingpin’s empire. The empire’s elite scattered and the leader escaped. While Olly prepared a romantic dinner for two, the kingpin ran Scarlett off the road!

Scarlett and Olly. A questioning and tense first meeting, attractions, undercover in pursuit of a friend and newly found sibling, emotions, danger and love. The book goes after all the things and creates a fantastic storyline. Olly is Izzy’s brother and we met him during her story and learned how much of a hero and alpha type he is. Now we get his story and see those traits play out even stronger as he falls for Scarlett, is determined to find Rose, and always protect his sister. Scarlett is no meek mouse though as she shows all the levels she will go to for her family new and known. Jax and Ivan were a great surprise and so was the final gift that Scarlett had prepared for Olly at the end. Loved this series and glad everyone got their HEA from the main group!

What a great way to end an amazing series! Olly and Scarlett meet when she calls asking for information about her new found sister Rose. Rose is missing, and Scarlett is determined to find her... no matter what. After a little suspicion on Olly's part, they decided to work together to try and find Rose. What happens next is nothing short of spine tingling suspense and a little romance thrown in. Along the way, Olly and Scarlett get to know each other, and form a bond. They have fallen for each other in a big way. Now, all they have to do is admit their feelings to each other. I couldn't put this book down once I started reading. I was swept up in the story from the first page. Definitely 5 stars! Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Listen, I usually love Anna's book. But this one is.... Subpar for her best.
I just don't get why no deep explanation in the book about how Rose and Scarlett half-sister. In the end we know they shared same father, but no descriptive about how exactly the ol' good dad didn't know Rose exist before. Plus I thought Scarlett and Rose is same 28 years old? So the father had affair or ONS gone wrong or what?
The way Rose just show up in Olly's house is just... no. For months he supposedly turned every stone to find her just then she squatted in his house for days. How did she find Olly's house when she supposed to run from a bad people? I can think of way she break into Olly's place, but finding his address when she didn't had any contact to outside world? Errr...

As the series finale, Marked For Vengeance, is a fitting addition. You'll get to revisit old favorites and add some new ones to your list. One event changed Oliver "Olly" Garcia's life. One that he didn't regret but it's left him closed off, bitter and a loner. Scarlett Hathaway is a woman on a mssion. She definitely is the embodiment of a fiesty redhead. She's determined, seemingly fearless and a bit naive. Convincing Olly to team up with her to find her sister takes a bit of doing but she won't take no for an answer. He tries, in vain, to sideline her but acquiesces in the end. The more they're together the more she breaks down the walls he's built up. He realizes that he does deserve love and will do everything he can to win her heart.

Wow just Wow!
When Scarlett Hathaway is searching for her sister she doesn't know, she gets help from an unlikely source, felon Olly Garcia.
These two are honestly an amazing couple. So guarded and fiery with each other but soon learn the attraction is real. They really blaze off each other, the banter isn't too be missed and I really enjoyed that part of the book.
Very well written. Anna Blakely writes a different and original story with truly unique characters. I couldn't put the book down, it had me absorbed.
Great work Anna!! Sad it's the end of the series.

What an epic finale for this incredible series in Marked for Vengeance! Focusing on Olly and Scarlett, I was hooked with these two as the leads. Not only were they so hot for one another, but this intensity of the storyline kept the pace moving so well, I was speeding through the pages with ease and interest! The romance and action is heart pounding, especially given the danger surrounding them both. With one connection, finding Rose, and having to go undercover as lovers, you already know you are in for a good time. Addicting story as always, can't wait to see what is next from this author!

This was a perfect way to spend a lazy day & I read it start to finish in one sitting! All 7 books in the Marked series were page-turners, and this one finished the series in style.
The romance between the main characters progressed at a really good pace, and I found myself feeling really empathetic towards several of the main characters, as they were all easily relatable.
There is also plenty of tension here to hold your interest.

What a great end to this series according to Anna Blakely. We get Oliver Garcia’s story who is Isobel’s brother who we met in Marked for Danger. He is looking for his best friend Rose who has been missing for 3 months. He then meets Scarlett who has come to Denver to also find Rose who she has found out is her half sister. They both team up to find Rose which leads them into the world of strip clubs and human trafficking. I loved how Anna developed these two characters. This is an awesome romance and suspense with an HEA.

What a great end to a wonderful series. I was so happy that Olly got his Happily Ever After. Scarlett is on the search for her new found sister and meets Olly who has been looking for Rose also. The suspense kept me reading through it all in one setting, I had to know what happened. I highly recommend this book along with the beginning of the Marked Series. This is another great read Anna Blakely!

I die… 😂
All around it’s pretty shit. But this line got me through the tough times.
Ima take me and my big wasteful boobies elsewhere.

Terrific story I didn't want to put down! Olly is so sweet and hard on himself, and Scarlett was the perfect woman to bring him out of his negative shell he hid behind. With mysteries to unravel, danger lurking, and suspenseful moments the story kept me engaged as Olly and Scarlett raced against time and unexpectedly fell in love during their search for Rose.

This book will grab you from the beginning and hold you until the end. Oliver's friend is missing and soon a woman claiming to be her sister appears looking for her as well. The storyline is exciting and Blakely weaves a story that you won't soon forget. 5 star read. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.

Wow! This story grabbed me right from the beginning and never let go. Olly is everything; he is rough and tough and yet he is also sweet and protective. Scarlett is amazingly sweet and yet not a pushover. They are hot together. The entire storyline is fast paced and intriguing. Loved it.

Olli‘s story is just WOW. That Man went through so much and reading about it gives you so many feelings.
All Ollie wanted was to find his friend Rose, in the End he has found so much more. It was an absolute pleasure reading his book and it made me feel and smile so much.

Ollie's and Scarlett's chemistry is off the charts hot. Insta-love is alive and well. Great ending to a great series! Lots of action and suspense.

Just ok
I really like this author, and I've loved this series, but this book fell flat for me. Scarlett had a TSTL vibe for parts of the book. I also found the book boring. I ended up skimming thru most of it. Felt like this one got phoned in.

When we first met Olly I couldn’t wait for his happily ever after. Being unfairly jailed for protecting his sister and being labeled a felon for his efforts was heartbreaking. I couldn’t imagine a better person for him than Scarlet. Her sarcasm, wit, and heart of gold will help him heal.

Marked For Vengeance: WOW! Lots of surprises, very intense, connections and romance. Olly was determine to find his best friend who had been missing for a while and he was not expecting to find someone special! It was a fantastic story!
