From #1 NYT bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken, a royal holiday tale.
Zautland, first off, what a ridiculous name. Second, why of all the princes in this universe am I the chosen one to marry him?
He’s a Yankee for one. Didn’t know he was a prince until two years ago. Was raised in the Bronx and got his own butler drunk within a month of arriving at the castle.
I prefer King Frederick, I’d even take my chances with King Arthur.
But King Zautland? The king of the three small countries? Ruler of all?
No. Just no. This isn’t a Hallmark movie.
Except it feels like I just fell into one after a certain misunderstanding.
I mean, there’s a cabin in the woods.
Tears are shed.
Emotional bonding happens.
And through a series of unfortunate events, I’m basically naked with the new king while the other two arrive to… um… save me, from his body heat.
Now I have no choice. I have to marry my king on Christmas and try to survive.
No shame in my emotions! I mean just because I seem to cry at the drop of a hat (or a romantic confession) doesn't mean it isn't valid. So what if Zautland's dad made me cry!? I don't see that as weakness. Who is judging me for giving my heart so easily to 3 kings...and a General!?!
My greedy heart wants to see the other kings find their queens...but maybe next Christmas?
I normally really enjoy RVD's books. This read as though she wrote in 15 minutes and never had it edited. It's a good idea... just not flushed out with any meat to it. Very bare bones and missing meat.
Zautland finds himself trying to figure out if Samira and he are a good fit. She makes it well known that she thinks he is not a good fit for king or her husband. She is stuck on him not knowing all of the protocols, etc. and thinks Arthur and Frederick are better suited. Zautland knows that he would like someone by his side but isn't willing to force Samira into being his Queen. When circumstances force them to spend time together, it appears they do have some common ground. It was a quick, easy read and I did enjoy it. I did feel like I got dropped into the middle of the story at points and wanted a bit more backstory to make some things clearer. Overall a good read and it had a nice holiday spirit to it. I did like the sandwiches which showed some normalcy in an unexpected situation.
Wow, just wow! Zautland And Samira own a place in my heart. This story was just so different. I laughed, I cried, and everything in between. For someone who wanted nothing to do with him Samira finally saw her light in the heart of Gold in Zautland. He had fallen for her early on, and she just couldn’t see it. One snow storm and Magic was made. I was never so happy at the end of the book, I just wanted it to keep going on and on. Another amazing hit Rachel! Please keep them coming.
What a heartfelt story. RVD got all the feels in this one. Loved Zautland and Samira’s story. Sprinkle in a little angst, and add two more kings for the cast of characters for good measure. I can only hope that spin offs will happen for Arthur and Fredrick. Also dare I say even the sis from across the pond! So much fun. Now time to go make some sandwiches! ❤️💕💕❤️
Samira and Zautland have an arranged marriage neither wanted, he's adopted by a loving family with a sister, she's a only child that has followed the rules of her family and the throne, stranded in a snow storm they learn more about each other, listening and talking, falling in love they will conquer the world, well their little corner of the world, absolutely amazing short story, thank you, Dana Zamora
This book was a quick Christmas read with all of the Hallmark feels. I loved the back and forth between the king and the princess as well as the forced proximity they found themselves in. I read this book in a day and only shed a couple of tears at the ending. Which is better than some other ones I've read recently. Absolutely a must-read for your Christmas romance fix.
Short, sweet, standalone with scandalous moments. This was a great Christmas present from RVD. I loved the way Zautland felt and showed his emotions, even though it took a bit for Samira to realize it and feel things for him too. I'm sure they will rule with generosity, kindness, and sincerity.
We Three Kings is a wonderful holiday read. This really put a smile on my face. I love the sassy nature of Samira. She is perfection. You are going to love Zautland so much. I loved the banter and all the feels that surrounds Zautland and Samira. I really could not get enough of this one. I want more. Such a beautiful read that you need to read today
We Three Kings was another great read by Rachel Van Dyken. Samira is the chosen one to marry Zautland. But she prefers King Frederick. Zautland didn’t know he was a prince until two years ago. Zautland is the king of the three small countries and rules all. They bond emotionally in a cabin in the woods. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
This was the perfect Christmas Story. Short, sweet, and hit the emotions just right! I love all of her books and this one was no exception. Thank you for this wonderful story.
“Because I’d found my home and I’d been so lost. So lost without it.”
Wow. This is the perfect Christmas story that gives you lots of feels. It’s short, sweet, and Zautland and Samira will warm your heart. It’s beautiful.
This was a cute Christmas novella about a King in search of his Queen - and a Queen finding the true love of her life and embracing it. No sexy times really, just a lot of heartwarming moments throughout the story. I loved it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I honestly didn't know what to expect with this story and I must say that the first half of this, I was very unsure if i even wanted to continue however the second half pulled this off for me. So much in fact that I got emotional at the end. I honestly don't know how RVD does it but she recently does this to me every time. I liked the court intrigue that was going on and I liked how Zautland and Samira were together once they got stranded. Zautland was a lost puppy hoping for a chance with Samira and she finally gave him the time of day. Zautland's dad was the highlight of this story and got me in tears. That man is the GOAT! Loved the princes too after everything was said and done and I hope we get their stories too.
What a perfect way to write a love story using a love lesson. This is an amazing story filled with love from the kings. Lessons about love, family and what’s important. Beautifully written. A must read.
This is a Christmas novella and a quick read. I always find novella's a bit challenging if they're not aligned with a larger story because you miss the background. Overall I enjoyed it. Cute, touching adn an HEA. 3 to 3.5 stars from me.
I love this author so I expected to love this one as well.
I did enjoy this, but it had a different writing then all her others. It read well and fast as well. It skipped fast forward 2 years suddenly, that was a bit confusing.
This book was truly beautiful. Rachel knows how to pull on the heart strings, the funny strings and keeping you in the moment. What a wonderful read before Christmas
What an awesome book to read on Christmas Day. Absolutely loved it and of course I want more. I would love to see Arthur and Frederick get the own HEAs too.
Perfect Christmas read!! Right on the feels This was lovely, short but it packed a punch. I did got teary at the end 🥺, but it was really good, will check more by this author for sure
