About the author

Alice Oseman is an award-winning author, illustrator, and screenwriter, and was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She has written four YA contemporary novels about teenage disasters: SOLITAIRE, RADIO SILENCE, I WAS BORN FOR THIS, and LOVELESS. She is the creator of LGBTQ+ YA romance webcomic HEARTSTOPPER, which is now published in physical form by Hachette Children's Books, and she is the writer, creator, and executive producer for the television adaptation of HEARTSTOPPER, which is set to be released on Netflix.

Alice’s first novel SOLITAIRE was published when she was nineteen. Her YA novels have been nominated for the YA Book Prize, the Inky Awards, the Carnegie Medal, and the Goodreads Choice Awards.

Alongside writing and drawing, Alice enjoys playing the piano semi-proficiently, Pokémon games, and purchasing too many Converse.

no 3.75 spoko, fajne, ale troszkę nie rozumiem aż takiego fenomenu... ale ok - jestem już chyba za stara, (ostatnio w przychodni przyjmował rezydent młodszy ode mnie więc to sobie brutalnie uświadomiłam x) jednakowoż dobrze że tak fajna rzecz jest fenomenem wśród młodzieży ^^

Such a sweet, heartwarming series. Great for kids navigating any kind of highschool relationship, but especially queer kids or those who aren't but need help filling an empathy gap. Also good to give parents ideas about how to support their queer teen! I love reading a romance that's mostly just really positive instead of focused around miscommunication and brooding. What a great and realistic portrayal of queer joy!

These were cute and I’m all for the amount of healthy communication all these characters model. We had Twilight growing up… these relationships are so, so much healthier.

I hate to say it— but I liked the Netflix series more!! Shout out to Abbie and George for that recommendation.

Charlie and Nick are the kind of couple I wish I'd been a part of in high school. Heck, they're the kind of couple I wish I were a part of *now*! I didn't realize until I got to the end of book 5 that there is one more on the horizon. I've seen the Netflix series and am happy to report it follows the graphic novels pretty closely. There were a few character changes, and some stories were elaborated, but much of the dialog comes straight from the books. As in Solitude (Tori—the narrator of that book—is Charlie's older sister), there are many frank discussions of mental health issues and other situations faced by teens, such as safe sex. Still, reading these leaves me nostalgic for that time in my life when choosing a college major seemed like the most important decision in my life.

Califique cada libro por su cuenta en mí biblioteca. Si le tendría que dar un puntaje en general serían cuatro estrellas porque fue un libro que a medida que iba creciendo, iban saliendo, entonces veía como crecian los personajes conmigo. Siento que es una lectura fácil y rápida, de la que te enganchas rápido, y realmente no puedo creer que ya está por salir el ÚLTIMO, fue mucho tiempo leyendo sobre estos personajes, una historia hermosa

Vamos a tomar esto como el conjunto de todos los libros: NO LOS SOPORTO. Lo único peor que ni hablar de un problema es invisibilizarlo metiéndolo en un cuento de hadas rosa, y me toca la polla que el cómic se cargue incluso la novela DE LA MISMA PUTA AUTORA que era lo único que quedaba que contaba una historia realista sobre DOS PUTOS ADOLESCENTES DESCABEZADOS LIÁNDOSE.
