As a Drea, Taylee Pierce, is a walking energy bong—or that’s how the gift stealing Rygons see her. Her ability to control minds in their hands could mean the destruction of the Kember and Drea race. Laced with speed, strength, and a physical ability, each Kember holds the key to not only defeat the Rygons, but to protect one Drea until death.
But what happens when one who’s born to protect, hunts instead?
During a heated battle with a rogue Kember, Taylee’s forced to run and let her own Kember—the man who raised her—face him alone. With the announcement of her protector’s death, Taylee’s anger and obsession regarding the mysterious murderer take over. She’s hell-bent on bringing her guardian justice, even if it means walking into the enemy’s trap.
Part one was a free Kindle book, but I couldn't stop there. Bought part two and can hardly wait for Book Two to come out. I don't write many reviews, as I have tend to get a bit wordy....Suffice it to say, I was very impressed and will be reading much more Tiffany Evans in the future.
Awesome series, check it out! Characters are very interesting and you get caught up. I couldn’t stop reading the first book, as soon as I finished it I purchased the second part. Recommend this series to everyone.
I am surprised to say I actually enjoyed this book. Though I generally try to star away from YA supernatural fiction, I accidentally got a free kindle book that was YA. Unlike most of the other free e-books I've read, Tiffany Evans's books had little to no grammatical errors, her writing style easily transports you from reality to the book's world. The only complaint I have is the complaint I have about YA supernatural fiction in general--that of teenagers in adult situations with adult crushes and teen angst issues. I appreciated the presence of a main character my age who has accomplished things post high school, made a living on his own and mostly behaves as I expect an adult to behave (minus the crush on a 17yr old girl). I just wish people would write stuff this good about adults, for adults.
My sister is name Taylor and I thought it was funny her name is Taylee. i forgotten this was only the second half of the first book. I mean 318 is a lot of pages and I'm glad there no cliff hanger. lol l Okay so i been waiting a while to read this and finally got it just a couple days ago and it was worth it. I wasn't expecting the plot line thought it was well written and had some good hummer as well i do hope that Taylee and Aiden do get a lot closer in the next one seriously come on man just make out already lol
I really liked both books part one and two. I preferred part two of course. Aideen got a lot closer to Taylee and she stopped being such a loud mouth immature child. once Lucian came into the house it seemed to change the whole environment. Aideen was being super protective and way hotter. he didn't mind slipping up a few times with her.
