Hi there! I'm A.L. Hampton, and like so many of you, I've been completely obsessed with books for as long as I can remember. There's nothing quite like getting completely lost in a story—you know that feeling when you look up and realize hours have passed? That's my happy place.
I'm absolutely head-over-heels for fantasy, urban fantasy, romantasy, and anything dark and paranormal. And yes, I'm totally here for the spice! After years of devouring every book I could get my hands on in these genres, I found myself thinking, "What if I combined all my favorite elements into one series?" That's how the Crown of the Seven Realms Series was born.
I'm a total sucker for witty banter and those laugh-out-loud moments that make you snort unexpectedly (hopefully not in public). I believe the best stories have characters that feel like real people—flawed, funny, and fierce.
My series features heroines who can hold their own and alpha males who are compelling without being insufferable, all wrapped up in plots that'll have you staying up way too late because you absolutely must know what happens next.
When I'm not busy torturing my characters or building new worlds, I'm living the dream in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest with my incredibly patient husband and our two spoiled dogs. My background is a bit all over the place—I have an A.A. in Criminal Justice, a B.S. in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in Education. Turns out, studying human behavior comes in pretty handy when you're trying to write believable characters and relationships!
You'll usually find me either exploring Washington's breathtaking landscapes (research for all those dramatic settings, obviously) or curled up somewhere cozy with a good book and way too much coffee.
As a debut author, I'm beyond excited to share these stories with fellow book lovers. I hope you'll come along for this wild ride through the Seven Realms—trust me, it's going to be fun. Welcome to my world!
This was a really good read. The beginning made it seem so normal(If you go in blind you will probably think so), but then find out it's not! I won't say too much because I don't want to spoil anything but if you enjoy reading books that involve vampires this should be on your list.
I've been hooked on this book series, so it was great to experience it again through the audiobook and see the character portrayals come to life with the dual pov.
Rhyland's growly broody tone, arrogance and possessiveness is captured perfectly by the narrator! I loved seeing the shift from his doubts about mortals and the prophecy, to his adoration of Dani and the primal need to claim and protect her.
Danica's bravery and sense of adventure shines through, alongside her need to understand and unpick everything that is happening logically, and her disbelief that she's unique and caught in a paranormal web.
Lucian's chaos, flirting and humour is captured brilliantly, with his sassy narration.
The humour and banter comes through so well, and the story is a captivating blend of fantasy and paranormal romance, with powerful mate bonds, chosen one prophecies, dangerous vampires, and intoxicating spice that will keep you blushing. It's seductive, entertaining, swoony and addictive.
I really enjoyed this first book in the series and can’t wait to continue the story further! This story has all the elements that I specifically LOVE in a book: romance, stalker/obsession, never ending spice, fantasy world building, quests, fighting scenes laughing out loud moment’s (”I don't care how ripped his abs are or how good he makes this kitty purr. It stops now. This guy has more red flags than a game of Minesweeper.”) - I meeeeean, lol!
Love the writing style, I was hooked from the first chapter and devoured this book! Thank you for letting me read this book as an ARC reader.

For fans of all things VAMPIRE!! A spoiler free review.
I’ll admit, I haven’t read anything with Vampires in it since maybe 2012 when I read the Cirque Du Freak series, but let me tell you this one takes the cake!
I recently have been more into books with spice and this one didn’t disappoint! Rhyland had me BLUSHING at some of the things he said.. such a dirty mouth in the best of ways 😈
I really love all of the character development and the way the whole story was written was absolutely perfect and captivating! I cannot WAIT to dive into book 2!
This is the first book I’ve ever DNF! The writing is truly hard to get through. It’s beyond cheesy and there’s so much tautology. We don’t need you to say the same thing over and over again about how the characters feel using different phrases. This book also doesn’t seem like it’s had an editor. One chapter ends with Rhyland “finishing his drink and standing” to drive to Seattle and the next chapter literally starts “continuing to nurse my drink” how is this not caught by someone? One minute he’s “dressed to kill” and the next he’s in a hoodie. I’ve tried to get to the plot but the writing is truly horrible. Also I don’t know a single person who isn’t over the age of 80 ordering a cup of joe at a diner. It’s also not believable that a bunch of vampires speak like gen alpha. “Let’s assess and confirm the sitch” another phrase that killed me was “mingling in a mingle-mania”. And to top it off Danica and Emily are scientists yet can’t figure out they were roofied and had to google the symptoms after Danica made a joke that “it was almost like we were roofied” PLEASE!!

I received this ARC, in exchange for an honest review🫶🏼
In this dark fantasy by A.L. Hampton, I found myself immersed in a very enjoyable story. Despite some personal distractions when I received the advance copy, I found that it was super easy to get back into the narrative.
The characters had great chemistry, especially with Ryland's intense feelings for Dani – it was really well done. The spice was *chefs kiss* and found myself getting a little red in the face at some of the stuff Rhyland would say (because oh my, the mouth on that man).
The pacing of the story worked well, but I felt like there could have been more words to smooth out the transitions between scenes and dialogue. This also could be said for the ending, where I think more supporting details could have made the cliffhanger even more impactful to the readers.
I give this book 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Overall, I think that the story was there, the chemistry was there, and even the vocabulary was very well thought out. What did it for me was the fact that, with so much going on in my personal life, I was able to enjoy it at the pace my time would allow. that I didn’t feel as if I needed to reread the same page 20 times because my mind wouldn’t comprehend what was going on.
A.L. Hampton well exceeded my expectations as a new author, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I'm looking forward to following along with any work that she blesses us with in the future!
Hey everybody, welcome back to another audiobook review today. We were talking about dark awakening. This book is narrated by the wonderful voices of Sebastian York, Andi Eloise and Devon Ryder. This story follows Danica, who is a geneticist scientist and has been working with vampire blood. Yes, you heard me right vampire blood that’s because in this book vampires are known to everybody and welcomed into human society, but unknown to the humans vampires have their own secret society that is basically trying to make sure that the world doesn’t end. And at the head of that society is Rhyland. Rhyland and Danica meet at a club owned by Rhyland brother Lucian. Where he sees her from something horrible about to happen. And at that point, the connection between them is instant because unknown to them they’re faded mates, which is again extremely rare like in most romantasy books. Rhyland and his brother Eric have been searching for their fated mates for a long time. And that Rhyland has found his he’s going to ensure that everyone knows that she is his. Andi, Devon and Sebastian did all such phenomenal jobs in this audiobook. All of them have been some of my favorite audiobook narrators to listen to, but their combinations of voices in this for some reason was just more amazing than I’ve heard them in other books.
Dark Awakening is a super spicy paranormal romance with a ton of potential for an epic story. It’s clear that this book is just the beginning of what will be an intense love story with some fantastic magical elements and multiple realms worth of adventure.
The audio for this book was outstanding! Andi Eloise and Sebastian York are like leather and lace as Rhyland and Danica. Sebastian brings that sexy, possessive, grumpy quality that he does so well and Andi is so fun as the sexy, sassy and adventurous Danica. Devon Ryder rounds out this cast and his witty sexy humor as Lucius is my weakness.
If you’re ready a super spicy vampire romance with a side of Indiana Jones and so much potential for magic and fantasy elements to come, definitely check out Dark Awakening.
From the beginning I was immediately drawn into the story. There were constant twists and turns, dark and steamy romance and lots of excitement.
The chemistry between Dani & Rhyland was explosive, to say the least.. it was written so well and drew me in that the way Rhy felt for Dani made me wish I could have someone feel so strongly about me.
I did feel like the chapters ended kinda blunty..like they didn't transition well, but other than that, it was really well written and can not wait for the second one!
🖤 Vampires 🖤 Supernatural 🖤 Paranormal fantasy 🖤 Fated mates 🖤 Touch her and d!e 🖤 Strong FMC
"Are you merely an echo of me, or do you actually have a purpose?" -Dani
I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved the humor and banter between the main characters. It was spicy, romantic, while also having lots of plot. I also love a strong fmc who kicks some butt during fight scenes and Danica is just that. I'm really excited to read the second book. I can't wait to read more from this author.
Loved this story about Danica who is human and she has a pull to Rhyland who is a vampire. They find out they are fated mates and she is a prophesied one to save the world from darkness with her light power. They set off on the adventure. This book didn’t seem rushed or like it drug on and really enjoyed reading it.
I will say this is a bigggggg audio and holy crap the narrators fit these roles perfectly! The story was very good and did have a lot of world building but that’s to be expected. If you are a vampire girlie then this one’s for you! Overall I gave it 4 stars but I wanna give it 4 1/2 I just wish there was more spice but that’s a personal opinion the spice in here was great.
This book is very different from books of the same theme. I like the snarky FMC and broody, not shadow Daddy MMC. It's nice to see different powers for the male. Some of the descriptions felt repetitive, but overall, it was a very good story. Can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. The twist at the end was not what I expected! Bonus points to the author!
This book was so well executed and so fresh compared to the many other romantasy books I’ve read lately. This author is seriously talented! I saw this book posted online by someone who loves romance fantasy and she said it had way too many spicy scenes for her taste and my smut loving heart was like *download to kindle* immediately. I’m so glad I took a chance on a lesser known author and stopped another series midway through to pick this up. This book has IT ALL. The stereotypical fantasy fated mates trope, touch her and d*e, vampires, great character development, witty banter, magic, portals to other realms. Often in the first installment of a romance fantasy series there is so much world building there’s not a lot of spice. In this book the spice was SPICIN’ Y’ALL and the plot was GREAT. Because it starts out in America, the author is able to build the different realms of the world slowly and sprinkle in the details instead of info dumping too much at the start. The banter between the FMC and her bestie was so realistic and relatable. I loved the complex and different personalities of the MMCs friends, even though I wanted to throat punch one of them by the end (trying not to give spoilers haha). Lucien was hilarious. And how refreshing to have a wildly intelligent, educated, self made FMC who isn’t a naive, virginal peasant.
If you are looking for a high spice fantasy series, this is definitely worth a read. It ends on a cliffhanger so I’m trying to get my life together to binge book 2!
Lost 0.5 stars because the overuse of exclamation points was seriously distracting to me, and I felt like a couple scenes dragged on and too many sentences were used to describe the exact same thing in different ways… one scene in particular could have been two paragraphs and not a few pages I was tempted to skim that part to get to the point. Otherwise, *chefs kiss*.
Perfect for fans of SJM, JLA, Rebecca Yarros, Laura Thalassa, Helen Scheurer, and Callie Hart who love HOT shadow daddies and ass kicking FMCs.
I can’t wait to see where in the Realms Dani and Rhyland go next on their quest…
When a human geneticist meets a vampire Viking king… sparks, blood, and secrets fly.”
Dark Awakening 5/5 — Dark. Spicy. Addictive.
Rhyland is a brooding vampire with a brutal past. Danica? A brilliant human scientist just trying to survive. When their worlds collide, it’s instant heat—and a bond neither of them can explain.
Think: • Vampire council politics • Forbidden fated mates • Science meets the supernatural • Enemies-to-lovers tension • And the kind of spice that leaves scorch marks
It’s dual POV, packed with action, betrayal, slow-burn heat, and twisty vampire lore. Plus? The found family vibes and side characters slay.
If you love J.R. Ward, Kresley Cole, or anything fated and feral—this is your next obsession.
Idk how I even finished this book the writing was god awful. The author would write the same sentence literally 3 times in a row with slightly different words, it felt like she was trying to hit a certain word count for a school writing assignment. She should have spent way more time world building - so much about the vampires in this book isn’t explained. The beginning felt rushed while it also felt like she was just writing words to write words. The relationship between the two main characters comes out of no where and all of a sudden they’re in love and can’t be apart when Danica hasn’t even seen his face or spoken to him……. The book was entertaining for like the last 100 pages.
I found myself immediately drawn into a world where vampires and humans coexist in an uneasy truce, threatened by an ancient evil lurking in the shadows. At the heart of this captivating tale are Rhyland, a battle-worn vampire warrior, and Danica Peirce—Dani—a captivating geneticist with a past shrouded in mystery.
From the moment Rhyland and Dani's paths cross, sparks fly, igniting a primal desire that transcends reason. Despite Rhyland's reluctance to open his heart to love again, he finds himself inexorably drawn to Dani, consumed by a hunger to possess her body and soul. Their burgeoning relationship is fraught with danger and intrigue as they navigate a treacherous world filled with betrayal and forbidden passion.
Before I continue I do want to say this I found myself completely immersed in the storyline, thoroughly enjoying the experience. However, my immersion was interrupted upon the introduction of the main male character, who emitted major stalker vibes. While I’m no stranger to dark romance, encountering a character who couldn’t accept no for an answer and relentlessly pursued the main female character left me feeling disconnected. I do recognize that this character felt a powerful attraction to the main female character. But it was just the way he went about pursuing her. This sentiment may stem from personal experiences with a stalker in my own life, making it challenging for me to relate to the male character. Conversely, connecting with the female lead was effortless; she exuded strength, intelligence, and an unwavering resolve that resonated with me deeply.
It's important to note that my reflections are solely based on my personal experience with this book. Every reader forms their own unique connection with the material they’re reading, and while my feelings may differ, they in no way diminish the exceptional quality of this book.
Continuing What struck me most about "Dark Awakenings" is the author's skillful portrayal of complex characters and richly detailed world-building. Rhyland is depicted as a formidable yet tormented figure, haunted by his past and burdened by the weight of his responsibilities. Dani, on the other hand, exudes an enigmatic allure, her mysterious origins adding an additional layer of intrigue to the story.
The chemistry between Rhyland and Dani is electric, their interactions crackling with tension and desire. Despite the dangers that surround them, their bond deepens with each passing moment, drawing them closer together even as powerful enemies emerge to tear them apart.
As the plot unfolds, Hampton expertly weaves together elements of suspense, romance, and supernatural intrigue. From unexpected twists to dangerous alliances, each new development kept me wanting more, eagerly turning the pages to uncover the next revelation.
In conclusion, "Dark Awakenings" is a riveting and immersive read that will appeal to fans of paranormal romance and urban fantasy alike. With its compelling characters , steamy romance, and pulse-pounding suspense, it offers a thrilling escape into a world where ancient evils and forbidden desires collide. A.L. Hampton has crafted an epic series filled with supernatural thrills, erotic encounters, and a passion that knows no bounds.
This book absolutely pulled me in from the very first chapter. The world-building is rich, dark, and addictive—vampires stepping out of the shadows, ancient grudges resurfacing, and a fragile peace ready to shatter at any moment.
Rhyland is a standout character. A battle-worn vampire with a Viking past, he carries this intense mix of power, pain, and vulnerability that makes him impossible not to root for. The moment he crosses paths with Dr. Danica Pierce, everything shifts. Their chemistry is electric, primal, and completely captivating.
Danica is just as compelling. A brilliant geneticist with secrets of her own, she’s strong, curious, and caught in a world she never asked to be part of. As the danger around her grows, her connection with Rhyland becomes both her greatest strength and the thing that could destroy them.
The story blends supernatural suspense, forbidden attraction, and jaw-dropping twists so well that I found myself racing through the pages. Every time you think you know where it’s going—boom—another revelation hits.
And yes, the cliffhanger is intense. I’m already counting down to the next book.
If you love fantasy romance filled with heat, mystery, and a world brimming with danger, this is definitely one to add to your list.
The audio narration is phenomenal: • Andi Eloise brings Danica to life with emotion, intelligence, and just the right amount of vulnerability. • Sebastian York delivers Rhyland’s voice with that deep, commanding presence he’s known for—perfect for a battle-worn Viking vampire. • Devon Ryder adds texture and depth to the supporting cast, rounding out the story beautifully.
The performances make the tension sharper, the danger more gripping, and the romance even more addictive.
And yes—the cliffhanger is brutal in the best way.
If you love supernatural romance, powerful world-building, and top-tier narration, this audiobook is a must-listen.
This story was one I went Into blind and I truly enjoyed it. The first few chapters for me moved slow, but when it picked up boy did it pick up! Dani is a mystery to many even herself. She finds out prior her parentage or Atleast what is known and it changes everything for Dani. Constantly trying to figure out the puzzle she finally gets some answers but are they the ones she hoped for? Rhyland, a Brutty dark vampire who is possessive….yes please! Lurking in the shadows always ready to protect what’s his even if she doesn’t know it…..yet. The prophecy is the key point throughout this story. Both MCs trying to figure out what it means for them. The entire story has you on the edge of your seat wondering what’s going to happen next and how Dani will get through it all. I’m convinced Rhyland is part cat because that man has many lives! Throughout the story the flames between Dani and Rhyland grow and grow fast. Then the MCs are faced with the ultimate betrayal that no one could see coming. I nearly tossed my headphones across the room! The story’s ending has me desperate for the next one. I’m torn with reading it or hoping the audio comes out shortly after this one! If your looking for he falls hard, vampire romance, the chosen one and discovering ones true power this story is for you.
The casting for this one is great! Andi Eloise as always nails her performance perfectly. The way she brought Danica to life was perfect. I’ve always been a fan of Sebastian York and seeing him in this type of role was fantastic as well. He was casted perfectly for Rhyland. This was my first audio with Devon Ryder and he did great with these two as well. He was fun and nailed Lucian’s role perfectly.
Long answer: do you like powerful, Viking vampires with swagger that matches their gigantic tool? Do you crave a dangerous MMC that would burn the world down for his woman? Do you enjoy reading about feisty FMCs strong enough to bear the weight of the world on their shoulders and and keep swinging? Love a fated mates trope with a large helping of realms in peril? Are combustively sexy, panty dropping encounters your thing? Then yes, read this book!
Full disclosure, I was extremely hesitant in the beginning. The dialogue is very modern and at times that can be a huge turn off for me. You know when you're reading a book with a medieval setting and a character throws in a current turn of phrase? That gives me the biggest ick. This is not what this was. It's consistent, as it should be, the events are happening "now". I recommend pushing through and leaving that hang up behind you as I did, the ride is certainly worth it, and what a ride it was!
Hampton has given us a gem.
What you need to know: Vampires are out, and integrated into society (think True Blood) where they now coexist with the human population and an ancient evil lurks in the shadows. An ancient realms ending evil that our heroes attempt to thwart while withstanding some harrowing trials. Oh and there's spice 🤭 really hot spice.
Book one ended with quite the twist and a steep cliff that has me anxious to jump into the next.
This is book 1 in The Crown of the Seven Realms Series, preformed in Duet.
I LOVED this audiobook. I’m officially sold on all things A.L. Hampton and can’t wait to start the next book!
I mean a Broody vampire MMC, Sassy FMC, hilarious brother, spice that makes you blush and banter for days! What more could I ask for!?
I loved every minute! The story is absolutely captivating the perfect blend of paranormal, fantasy and romance. The plot twist and betrayal had me shook! I don’t want to spoil anything, just run and grab this ASAP!
Andi Eloise was the most perfect narrator for Danica ( our scientist FMC ) She did an incredible job portraying her fascinating mind and raw emotion.
Sebastian York was the perfect Rhyland ( our broody vampire MMC ) His growly voice and that chuckle! He portrayed his primal side perfectly.
Devon Ryder was phenomenal with his narration for Lucian ( flirty, chaotic and comedic vampire brother ) he had me cackling throughout the book! I can’t wait to have more of him in the next books! He may have been my favorite character.
Overall this book was a 10/10 for me! That surprise ending and cliffhanger had me spinning and needing the next book 👏🏻
Thank you to the author A.L. Hampton as well as the narrators Andi Eloise, Sebastian York, Devon Ryder and of course Blue Nose Audio for the opportunity to ALC this. As always my reviews are honest and 100% my own! 🖤
I’m seeing this a lot lately and it’s a shame. ARC reviewers who are seasoned know not to put 2stars or below until the book is live for 3 weeks. Grammar, spelling and sentence issues should have gone to the author to fix. Arc means the book isn’t a completed book until live. Another don’t read the book if it isn’t for you and just judge based off that above.
✨Now to my review ✨ This book is very well thought out and I love it. If you love details so smooth then this book is for you. If you have read Lindsey Sands books you will know what I’m talking about this woman gives you ALL the details. It is a slow burn and then it picks up and the book is slow but when it does pick up it’s a train of spice and what the heck in one! This book has me wanting more. I picked this one at the last minute as an ARC and the author didn’t disappoint. I’m honest with my reviews. The spice is about 🥵🥵🥵🥵 on normal sale (not my normal dark scale) lots of edging and dominant scenes. Well done for a first book on the scene.
Same names have been used in many books don’t get suck on saying the names are from ACTOR many books do have the same names together. Just read it and give it a chance and get over the names for goodness sakes.
Okay, I am absolutely in love with this book! First things first: The author does a fantastic job of laying out any triggers readers may have. It’s not just a list of words but rather an explanation so you understand how they will be used and can make the most informed choice for your personal mental health. While I don’t personally have any triggers, I understand this is important for a lot of people so felt it was worth mentioning. The cover art and interior character heading designs are so beautiful and elegant. This book is beauty, substance, spice, the whole package. The main characters were really well done, their personalities were complex and well developed, nothing seemed disjointed or forced. I enjoyed seeing the tension and steam that built between Danica and Rhyland. The plot is fantastic, and the spice…whew, it’s spicy yall! 🔥 Loved the prophecy and fated mates aspect! Plus Emily (Dani’s friend) is absolute perfection. The personalities and interactions with the supporting characters were just as good as the fmc and mmc. There’s action and twists, everything you could want in a book. With a bit of a cliffhanger - of course! I will absolutely be purchasing a physical copy!
I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
I was very excited for this book because it all sounded up my ally
I love the plot for this book but was a little disappointed with the execution as some parts were long and drawn out. I personally do not think it needed to be this long. It at times also felt very repetitive when the actual plot came into play. There was also some spelling errors through out the way.
I liked the character dynamics and found family in the brothers. It’s was kind of refreshing reading a female character who isn’t all strong and mighty (don’t get me wrong I EAT up strong FMC but it’s was a nice change)
I like the brothers and Rylands and that found family. Although I did see the similarities to ACOTAR mostly in names and certain personality traits. I think when the plot did come into, Erik and Lucian helps push the narrative well.
The first 65% if this book was mostly spice with sprinkles of plot And the last 35% was an equal amount of spice and plot Which personally doesn’t bother me, the spice scenes were not super repetitive so it didn’t get redundant. If you’re not a spice reader it might not be the vibe as it is very heavy on the spice. Which we love but it’s definitely an acquired tasted.
I love all the individual qualities of this book but it could have been executed better, I’ll still probably read the second one because the ending was more plot based and got interesting leaving off on a cliffhanger hanger.
Also p.s. please don’t end a cliffhanger with “The End … for now” the ending was good and the cliffhanger was good no need for that.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
My rating is 3.5 stars. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Think of what goes on in this story as a multiverse. There is forced proximity, action packed, involves fated mates, werewolves, vampires, and ancient secrets.
I love anything with vampires and werewolves 🤣. I really appreciate that it has a smart and witty FMC and a MMC who gives "touch her and die" vibes. In some parts of the plot/story line it felt chaotic as hell and somewhat predictable but in other areas, I did not expect what occurred and it made things that much better! I appreciated how things make sense in the end but felt like some things lacked. Ex: Danica’s brother being mentioned briefly in the beginning and mentioned once more later on. Maybe that was intentional, but I would've appreciated more of how their relationship looks like.
So far Lucien is 100% my favorite character. His banter, outbursts, and loyalty are hilarious and appreciated. Erik is also so loyal. They're both ROD's.
Now for the spice; IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT ONE DAMN BIT. I was here for it. It was giving slow burn in a way and I ate it TF up hahaha. Thank you so much for your service A.L. Hampton!!!
Super excited to see how this series will continue!
This is the kind of story that grabs you by the throat from the very first page and doesn’t let go. In a genre crowded with predictable tropes, this book stands out as a dark, seductive gem—a perfect storm of high-stakes danger,& immersive world-building that feels both fresh and deliciously primal.
Rhyland is everything you want in a vampire anti-hero—brooding, brutal, and scarred by centuries of war. But it’s Danica Pierce who truly steals the show. She’s fierce, intelligent, and layered with a past that unfolds like a riddle wrapped in shadows. The chemistry between them is electric, raw, and at times, downright feral. Their connection pulses with intensity, blending lust, longing, and emotional vulnerability in a way that feels utterly real. 10/10
First off this book was not what I was expecting. Its starts off in modern day fantasy with a twist. Vampires mingling with mortals. (Think True Blood) then it just gets wild with prophecies, realms, magic etc… and a filthy mouthed MMC who is just yummy. 🤤 The author keeps you rooted and I couldn’t put the book down. Always something happening, keeping you hooked! The spice, y’all!?! Once it gets going. BE PREPARED! phew! 😅 The characters are all amazing (even the side characters) which brings the whole story together. I hate when side characters don’t bring anything to the story, but this author, doesn’t disappoint! I love them all! I’m chomping at the bit for book two!
We have our typical nerdy researcher studying a before unseen mixture in a sample of blood. Normal DNA helix with a stand of lupine mixed in. Her introduction into the supernatural. Her second introduction is in a club. Girls night out with her friend. A glance up and she locks eyes with an imposing, unbelievably handsome man. Unbeknownst to her, she is the one person he has been searching for. The prophesied savior of the seven realms. And his fated mate to boot! Follow along with Dani and Rhyland as they figure out their bond and her role in the prophecy.
A.L. Hampton really connects you to the characters, Danica's spit-ball and firey attitude makes you just as mad and passionate with every obstacle in her way, you love her, you cry for her, and you feel ever ounce of her pain, the bond that her and Rhyland share is kismet and every danger that they face their bond helps them to overcome but the twist at the end you truthfully don't see coming and it is heart wrenching if your not scream and pulling your hair out and ready to fight for a fictional character at the end of this book then maybe you skipped a chapter. Highly recommend this book and looking forward to reading book two. 10 out of 10 for me absolutely amazing!!!!!!!
