Book 2 of the 3 Titled Gentlemen Find Love Series
London, 1790s. 2 dukes and an earl lead pampered, privileged lives whilst the French Revolution rages. They have it all. Except love.A gentleman is more than his titleMajor Benedict Duncan is the second son of an earl, well-connected, rich, good-looking and with a promising career in His Majesty's Lifeguards. He lost his heart to Lady Arabella Mason a long time ago, but he'll never win her. His best friend, the Duke of Brackenshire, is courting her and their betrothal announcement is imminent. Bella is not for him and Ben tells himself he should forget her.
Besides, her father, Lord Watcombe the baron, will never let her marry a man without a title and Ben doesn't have one, but when Dan marries another bride after a whirlwind courtship, the surprise event leads Ben to hope again, IF he can prove to her and her father that a man is more than his title.
Lady Arabella Mason must choose between two suitors, the man with a title that her father wants her to marry, or the man she loves without one. Bella wants a grander title too, and she can pick an easy life, please her father and become a viscountess, or cause uproar in the family by marrying Ben, a man her father doesn't approve of.
Bella must ask herself what she wants before she loses him, higher status through an empty marriage to a domineering husband or to follow her heart?

🖤Fans of Georgette Heyer, Cheryl Bolen, Emma Linfield, Laura Beers, Jude Knight and fans of clean, sweet Regency Romance will like this story. If you like dukes, earls and marquesses with kind hearts hidden in their gruff exteriors and rakish ways who fall for brave heroines, you'll love the story of Ben & Lady Arabella. 🖤
I love a historical romance, and this one didn't fall short. It's everything you want from a sweet, clean romance and has some of my favourite tropes. The "clean" aspect was a welcome change to my normal reads and allowed the story to focus more on the characters and their evolving relationships. My absolute favourite trope is a forbidden love, and this certainly delivers. Bella's journey to overcome her father's determined stance that she marries for a title was wonderful to read, and I'm so happy love prevailed. This also had a bit of a Pride and Prejudice feel to it in terms of the relationship Bella had with her parents (love her mum!)
I also loved how assessing Bella was asking questions like, "How would he treat a wife if he had power over her?" It's very clear from the outset that Bella is a strong and pragmatic woman! Ben was so lovely and caring as well. Great match.
Ben and Lady Arabella is Book 2 in 3 Titled Gentleman Find Love by Sapphire Lebesque. The year is 1790 and the pampered 2 Dukes and 1 Earl are busy living the happy life. Ben has secretly loved Lady Arabella, but her father, a Baron, wants a title for his daughter. I love historical romance and this story is sweet but also interesting. The path to true love is not smooth or easy. But, will Ben win the ladies hand? I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
In this fast-moving tale, Bella's courage is put to the test as she navigates the dangers of the courting season. The first part of the story has some overlap with events in the next book of the series, told from a different point of view. I enjoyed reading how the hero and heroine manage to find happiness, with a little help from friends and family. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Ben and Lady Bella is a sweet and clean regency romance. Bella’s father is determined to marry his daughter to a Lord with higher status than his own. Bella longs for love. The story of how Ben and Bella manage to overcome her father’s determined opposition has many ups and downs. I thank the author for an advance review copy and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Interesting story of Lady Arabella who has a father determined to marry her off to a high ranking title. Yet Ben has other ideas. How the two of them get around the desires of others is what brings life to this story. Well written with great characters and drama. Part of a series that can stand alone yet is better if read in order.
Ben is a major in the British army. Bella is the daughter of a baron, and her father has made it clear he will not approve a marriage to anyone but a gentleman with a title. Lots of Regency lore in this one.
So far book 1 and 2 have kept my attention. Reading these stories really make it easier to understand how women were treated back in in those times. Love was not a priority, her status and the man’s status was what was important. I can’t wait to read book 3 to see who Pru marries.
It was an interesting historical romance. My regret is I took so long in reading it. It would be best in larger segments. Otherwise a great book. I got this book from book sirens and it is my honest and voluntary review.
Very good romance for Bella and Ben. Although, when certain events happened I was tensed up not knowing what to expect. Even though they had a happy ending I felt like the ending was a bit rushed.
