A town reeling from a tragedy. A secret tearing it apart. A priest looking for the truth.
The town of Hinkley is trying to turn the page on the darkest chapter of its history but Father Gabe Devlin knows there's still more to uncover. Devlin and his young colleague Father Ramirez take an unexpected stop in the small town of Hinkley, Vermont. From the moment Devlin arrives he senses a collective pain that rocks him to his core. Once more, Devlin understands he has been called to a place in need where he must uncover secrets that others desperately want to hide.
Excellent - Start with book one to get the most out of the series
Reading the four books of the Gabe Delvin series was like watching a TV miniseries that spent three parts hinting at a great reveal, then finishing well beyond where you thought it was going. Each book is a thrilling mystery and action adventure, and woven throughout is Delvin’s struggle with faith as he faces down the worst kind of evil. Devlin’s character is a priest, but never in your face about religion. The supporting characters change with each book, and have enough meat that their fates are meaningful. This final book in the series delivers all the emotions of the first three books, and goes beyond to an ending that is wonderful-filled.
My rating: five stars. I read all four Gabe Devlin books in four days. What an incredible series. I hope this author decides to keep writing more and more about our favourite priest! I wouldn’t be surprised if I go back to book one and start it all over again. …. I enjoyed the series that much! Kudos to the author.
Really enjoyed this book very interesting with lots of twists and turns. Characters were very real and believable. Hope there’s more to come, I will definitely read them and recommend them to everyone.
This fourth adventure within Devlin's thriller series is an unbelievably intense tale. Story is very impressive, loaded with intriguing characters and suspenseful drama you won't believe from start to finish.
Love this series. This was one of my favorites. i really enjoy the supernatural elements that are not overt. I love how Devlin has a moral code, but also room for the miraculous - and revenge.
Well, I finished the 4th book and like the other 3, I could not put this book down. It was a fast paced thriller with an astonishing ending. I hope there will be more Gabe Devlin stories. These books are fun thrilling to read and have been perfect to get me out of my summer reading slump.
All four of the Gabe Devlin thrillers are great. Each one filled with so much entertaining suspence, building and building to a gratifying climax. With a touch of religious mysticism thrown in. Great fiction.
True to the title and the conceit of the series, “miracles” abound in the last entry in the series and the reader’s buy into that conceit is tested as the credulity of the plot is stretched to and beyond it’s limits.
Just read the 4 book series of father Gabe Devlin in just over a week I just couldn't wait to get back to these books, all of the 4 books were real page turners and can't believe there's no more. Azure please resurrect father Devlin.
I loved the way the story included the unexplained scenarios as well as factual information. It certainly kept me reading on wanting to understand what was happening. I think this is possibly the best Devlin thriller to date.
An unexpected breakdown and very strange unexplained happenings. Enjoyable book with a very strange ending. I think I may have to read books 1-3 to learn more about Gabe Devlin.
Wow, these books just get better. Gabe Devlin takes on evil and wins. It's like he's turned into an Angel. I hope there will be more books. Well worth five stars.
