If you’ve already read Charting and Analysis, then this book doesn’t bring anything new except how to make trades when the trend is down or sideway. It’s still a good read anyway. I can summary the book again in a few lines:
- Identify the primary trend, moving average, support and resistance
- Best time to buy is when the primary trend is up, stock is above MA 200 and just slightly above support
- Always set stop loss just below the support and adjust accordingly when stock find higher support
- We are always looking for entry point with low risk and high potential return
- Only buy index

Good
It was a good book, but I don't believe it was as good as his Charing and technical analysis book.

Trend following
Possibly one of the better trend following book. I have read Michael Covel's books before this one and was quite disappointed. There is no magic formula but the concepts are made more practical and it is less pompously written it's also does not come across as an elevator pitch. The philosophy is much more clearly explained and made accessible to anyone interested in the concept and there are no gimmicks. This doesn't mean it's easy as the examples have the benefit of hindsight but it gives you a clear foundation to build from.

Super Great Books
The author very good in his writing skills how to explain his thoughts in very simple words how the market works and how you will take that knowledge about the market to your advantage..I’m looking forward to read it again and again to digest all his information he write because it seems all the information he got from his 25 years in the market he just wrote it in this book and that’s so amazing opportunities I got....

Great book, seriously !! 👍
Love this book. If you learn from reading and visuals this book is for you. People try to steer you away from reading books about trading and how to trade but their wrong. I love this book. I advise anyone read books on trading forex I promise you gain so much more insight. Books are your reference guide. Thank you sir for taking the time to write this book. I probably should buy a physical copy as well.

The best book on trading I’ve read so far
The explanation about the market, the stock, and the price action is clear and to-the-point. I appreciate that the author explained in detail why the market was moving where it was moving, why this trade succeeded while the other trade failed.... I’ve learned more from this book than from any other books in trading I read.

This is a great book on analyzing stock trend whether it's primary secondary or short term. Great wealth of information. This is a must book for your trading library.

By far the best book
A simple no nonsense methodology presented in a very easy to understand form. Been trading for many years but right now settled on a good and simple strategy- thanks to F R E D. I highly recommend it for the much experienced losers in the market.

Dropped it after reading 11 chapters cuz nothing seems new (atleast significantly ) from his other book "charting and technical analysis" and even though chart pics in this book are way better than his other book - don't know and most of the time it takes time to find out what he is talking about & where he is pointing in the chart.

Excellent Work!
This book is a great place to start as an investor or trader seeking ways to understand the markets and how to trade it. I enjoyed the conversational tone and examples laid out in the book.
I plan to read it a few more times just for clarity and understanding.

Good primer on trend trading using only moving averages. I like that Fred doesn't use any other indicators, and sticks with support, resistance, and trend lines.

Good book but images are poor quality. Would recommend as a follow up to his last book as they work perfectly together.
