Charity Marks lives her life with a personal set of rules that she never breaks—and for a good reason. After getting fired from her job in Southern California, she takes a job in the tiny town of Broken Branch as a public relations expert for the Professional Rodeo Riders Association.
Clay Cooper is the PRRA's hottest star and wildest bad boy. When Charity goes to talk to him about toning down his ways, she is surprised to find that there is more to the cowboy than meets the eye. Will the oh-so-delicious Clay be the death of rule number seven?

Read this out of curiosity from what someone had told me about it. (Also it was free) I guess this is the novella or short story that's supposed to get you interested and wanting to read more, but it was very....meh. I understand it's a short story, but it could've benefited from a little more background on the two main characters or something more at least... There's no chemistry between them and their "relationship" just felt forced because the author wanted/needed it to happen to move the story along. I just didn't understand what made this guy so special as to make the main character break her rule. I wasn't very impressed and doubt I'll be reading more in the future. But being free, it was worth a shot.
I decided to read this because I was in the mood for a Cowboy and a quick read.
I was ok, but I felt like I had started reading half way through a book, I realise it was a short read but usually there is still a beginning, middle and an end.....this one just didn't do it for me!
